THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"There is no free lunch for the creature comforts delivered by the corporation. The ravaging of nature, the erosion of economic security, the destabilization of the family, the commercialization of all human relationships, the corruption of democracy, and the dissipation of spiritual meaning in the face of rampant materialism - these are all part of the cost of the corporate system as we know it. And they add up to a very high price to pay for the bounty of the great American shopping mall."-- Charles Derber, Corporation Nation, p178

Neighbor: Fort Hood suspect emptied his apartment

Cone acknowledged that it was "counterintuitive" that a single shooter could hit so many people, but he said the massacre occurred in "close quarters.

"With ricochet fire, he was able to injure that number of people," Cone said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You know the story is starting to come apart when they start using the "magic bullet" explanation.

So, here is what I think happened.

I think that a GROUP of soldiers rebelled against further deployment. This is why we had early reports of multiple shooters, numbering up to 5.

But 5 soldiers shooting their officers signals mutiny in the ranks. It recalls the "fragging" of Vietnam days. It looks really bad to the citizenry. It could even spread to other soldiers and other bases where the military are stretched to the breaking point.

So, the DC boys look around and say, "Oh, we have this dead Muslim guy; we'll just blame it on him!" And presto-chango, five shooters pissed off with the wars becomes one conveniently dead Jordanian Palestinian Muslim with possible links to Al Qaeda.

Only turns out Major Hasan isn't dead. Which creates a whole new problem the instant he gets off that ventilator at the hospital.

Which is hardly likely to happen.

Meanwhile, the top of this article reports that Hasan was making the normal preparations for deployment. He emptied out his apartment, gave away things he didn't want to take with him, and told everyone he was deploying today. Does that sound like a man about to go postal?

Were local police called in because of their uniforms?

mytrueword

The civilian police units that were called to the Fort Hood military base were wearing their distinctive black uniforms. [As seen in various videos] These officers were very identifiable from all the soldiers wearing their military fatigues. Obviously, the military and the police needed to be able to identify who were the possible shooters, and who were not. Even then, anyone in fatigues was a potential target in the confusion. How could they know who the bad guys really were if they all looked alike? By the way, do all soldiers still always wear dog tags when in uniform? If so, identity could be determined by that.

On Michael's take about multiple shooters

Sounds like it was a war zone.

War at Home: First Responders Describe Carnage at Fort Hood
Friday, November 06, 2009
He and other ER personnel told FoxNews.com that the gunshot wounds appeared to have been inflicted by semi-automatic pistols loaded with long bullets more often used with a standard M16 rifle.
"Just so many gunshot wounds — gunshot wounds to the torso, the belly, the chest," he said. "It's similar to what you'd see down range."
Ritz has not yet been deployed overseas, and he said it was like nothing he'd ever seen.
"The worst part," he said, "there's all these multiple gunshot wounds, all the victims shot in multiple places, and they keep coming in and I have no idea who's shooting, where they're shooting from, or why.

Gunman a mind controlled double for Major Hasan ?

mytrueword

Major Hasan is single with no family. Had he died when shot, no one was available to identify him, so he could have easily been used as a dead patsy. He could easily have been made out to be the shooter who was killed and who may have actually shouted the claimed"Allahu Akbar!" No one would have been wiser. Except Hasan is still alive and can now be truly identified. So the dead shooter can't be Hasan now, even though he was so identified on the spot.

How many angry soldiers would actually start a rebellion in which they would be doomed to die. And why would the local police be called in to deal with it? Why not the military? And why were these police so ready to come so fast to a surprise emergency. Wouldn't there have been a whole lot more guns, bullet shells lying around the place? Even the police would be threatened with retribution if they told the truth. Obviously, a lot is being covered up to hide what really happened. It is interesting to notice the willingness of some to believe what has been said about Hasan just because he is a Muslim. Lies and more lies just keep coming from officials, as usual.

"Soldiers who witnessed the rampage reported that the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar!" - an Arabic phrase for "God is great!" - before opening fire, said Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, the base commander. He said officials had not yet confirmed that Hasan made the comment before the shooting spree."

Who me?

Stewart Ogilby

When this guy wakes up and finds out he is supposed to be the lone gunman he is really going to be pissed off. Anyone think he's going to survive for long? Lone gunmen don't have a good survival record in our society.

Here's what I think

Mike is right. This guy was probably just in the wrong spot at the wrong time. He got caught in the crossfire. And now he's a convenient scapegoat.

I bet that while he's on the ventilator he'll find an AK47, blow his brains out, clean up the mess and crawl back into bed to write a suicide note claiming to be a warrior for Allah. Then he will die.

Nidal Malik Hasan 'said Muslims should rise up'

johnu78

...The major is a psychiatrist who had been treating soldiers returning from Iraq for post-traumatic stress and alcohol and drug abuse problems.

"He was making outlandish comments condemning our foreign policy and claimed Muslims had the right to rise up and attack Americans," Col Lee told Fox News.

"He said Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor and that we should not be in the war in the first place." He said that Maj Hasan said he was "happy" when a US soldier was killed in an attack on a military recruitment centre in Arkansas in June. An American convert to Islam was accused of the shootings....

They will demonize this poor man.

Who I suspect was only trying to help.

With all the lies by our govenrment and media, this is a strong

apokalypsis

possibility, but if this is the case, with so many wounded who lived, i would imagine that the victims would know who shot them, how does the media/military intend to keep them silent...with survivors the official story is so much harder to control...What i find interesting is if these theories are correct, that even if some of these soldiers believed in their mission and the rightness of their cause before, how after seeing all the bs going on in front of their very eyes...how do you continue to believe in this....will it wake many more people up?

Mouser....

Ethan Allen and...

who first commented that this was a mutiny on KOBTV's website is posting this take of the incident in other places across the net, including on that Les Visible article posted here at WRH. Perhaps he is someone with inside info.

Flashback 2006:And as an Army counsellor......

justice

let's not forget the things that Major Hasan had to LISTEN to,from his Army colleagues, including 'American Protestants',that may have kept him awake at night and been good reason for him wanting to buy out of the Army before deploying.Remember Texan Private Stephen D. Green from Fort Bragg.....
