THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"I am strongly in favor of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes. The moral effect should be good...and it would spread a lively terror.... "-- Winston Churchill commenting on the British use of poison gas against the Iraqis after World War I

Million person demonstration in Iraq on Saturday October 18th

A million-person demonstration… or at least mass demonstration is supposed to take place in Iraq tomorrow. Of course there is nothing about it in US news.

This demonstration was scheduled to take place several times before, but US forces always stopped it by either spraying a few bombs over Iraqi cities or blocking the cities violently with US forces and concrete walls so that people couldn’t join the center where the demonstration was to start from.

Tomorrow however, the demonstration is supposed to take place. Many Iraqis have already moved in preparation for it and are ready. The demonstration is against the US and Israel and is calling for US withdrawal from Iraq.

Comments

". .there is nothing about it in US news". The BBC seems to crow

michael mazur

about the expected million person demonstration failing to materialise, resulting in a 50,000 turn out.

But like you with the US media, i've never heard the BBC say that US forces were "either spraying a few bombs over Iraqi cities or blocking the cities violently with US forces and concrete walls so that people couldn’t join the center where the demonstration was to start from".

The pictures are a good illustration...

Not Sure

of how many people we have killed in Iraq. I don't know why they want us to leave....

How is it possible we have two presidential candidates that think we need to stay there for their own good? There is something terribly wrong with this country.

"The years passed, mankind became stupider at a frightening rate. Some had high hopes the genetic engineering would correct this trend in evolution, but sadly the greatest minds and resources were focused on conquering hair loss and prolonging erections."
