THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"I am strongly in favor of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes. The moral effect should be good...and it would spread a lively terror.... "-- Winston Churchill commenting on the British use of poison gas against the Iraqis after World War I

Israeli Minister pushes for assassination campaign against Palestinians

Extrajudicial assassinations are a direct violation of international law and of signed agreements, as they target 'wanted' individuals without giving them a right to a trial. They have also caused significant additional "collateral" civilian casualties in most instances. Israel carries out these assassinations through missile strikes from airplanes, usually targeting cars carrying 'wanted' individuals. Given that the Gaza Strip (one of the two Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories) is one of the most densely populated places on earth, this nearly always results in the killing of bystanders, often children.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, in the Israeli political landscape, each and every candidate who wants to replace Olmert as Kadima's leader appears to be just to the right of Atilla the Hun, particularly when it comes to Palestinians.
