IDF Chief: Must Continue Counterproductive Iran Postures
“The world and the region must continue to isolate Iran,” Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz said on Wednesday.
Grantz added: “we must not forget one basic thing: Israel is the only country in the world which someone is calling for its destruction and which someone is building the tools to do so. This is something that cannot be ignored.”
Apparently, Lt. General Gantz has never received the memo that every inspection by the IAEA has proven that absolute ZERO nuclear materials have gone missing.
So, how are Iranian scientists supposed to be building a bomb, when all nuclear materials are accounted for?!?
The short answer is, they CAN'T, Lt. General!!!
Do you think Americans are so logic-challenged they don't understand this?!? This is a blatant insult against the basic intelligence of the people of this country, and we resent it.
And as to that allegation that Iran's leadership wanting to destroy Israel, or wipe it off the map; that's the biggest alleged statement that Ahmedinejad never made.
"Ahmadinejad did not say he was going to wipe Israel off the map because no such idiom exists in Persian," remarked Juan Cole, a Middle East specialist at the University of Michigan and critic of American policy who has argued that the Iranian president was misquoted. "He did say he hoped its regime, i.e., a Jewish-Zionist state occupying Jerusalem, would collapse." Since Iran has not "attacked another country aggressively for over a century," he said in an e-mail exchange, "I smell the whiff of war propaganda."
In these statements you've made, sir, I see desperation on the cusp of madness in an attempt to get a war against Iran going any possible way you can, and for absolutely no intellectually honest reason.
And I would strongly caution you, sir, that thinking Americans are sick and tired of the costs, in blood and money, which have been sacrificed upon the altar of potential Israeli hegemony in the region: ENOUGH!!
As you are well aware, Iran hasn't begun a military conflict in over 200 years, and certainly not since it became an Islamic Republic in 1979.
