Highway Fund Shortfall May Halt Road Projects
An important account in the federal Highway Trust Fund will run out of money this month, a situation that could hamper completion of road and bridge construction projects across the country, Transportation Secretary Mary E. Peters said on Friday.

Road Construction
earlybirdA family member works in the road construction field making asphalt. They have been unable to get oil for their product since June or supplies are very limited. Here in Utah we see nothing but orange barrels from here to kingdom come, so I welcome the slow down. It almost seems they do road work just to have something to do. I say back to the horse and carriage.

dragline190dI actually found out about this in Nov 07 and the fund went insolvent in early March 08 but Congress addressed the issue to fund it soon thereafter again!
This is just another way of stealing from the AMERICAN people while our roads and bridges fall into disrepair!
The truth is clear though the Money is gone and will not be coming back.
My opinion is that they thought nobody would notice if everything stayed status quo but instead the Leach killed its Host.
