THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"We love your adherence to democratic principle."-- Vice President George Bush to Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos

BREAKING: Most recent update from Cynthia McKinney!

From John Judge, Cynthia's press secretary during her Presidential campaign:

I had another call from Cynthia McKinney who has been told she will remain imprisoned in Ramale, Israel until Monday, July 6 at least along with many others. She asked me to pass along this detail. Among their aid group were three Muslim women from Bahrain who spoke neither English nor Hebrew, and two men from Bahrain. All five of these people were released from custody and flown back to Bahrain in the private plane of the King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad ibn 'Isa Al Khalifah, where they were welcomed as national heroes.

Governor and staff's latest explanations leave more questions

Governor Palin admitted to possible pressure from her administration to fire former Department of Public Safety Director Walt Monegan. But it's how the Governor and her staff are explaining this latest development, compared to what they've said just last month, that is noteworthy. The taped phone call we all heard Wednesday reveals possible pressure. But when pressed to explain how these latest developments play into what was said in the past, one could be left scratching their head.
