THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

Dozens Of Call Center Workers Walk Off Job In Protest Rather Than Read McCain Script Attacking Obama

Some three dozen workers at a telemarketing call center in Indiana walked off the job rather than read an incendiary McCain campaign script attacking Barack Obama, according to two workers at the center and one of their parents.

Altruism is simply unrealistic here.

This article, and others similar are about nothing less than the pre-riot stage of outrage that will occur if Barack Obama isn't coronated as is commonly being predicted.

This clearly dangerously incendiary situation is being fanned by portrayals of this election event by a public media gone mad.

Anyone who is realistic knows the Barack Obama campaign has no lock on this election.

The questions about these election polls we seeing are, who will show up? And how many will walk into the voting booth saying they will vote for Barack Obama, but will come out with a different expression on their face.

The cult of Barack Obama that has slowly been built up by miscreants in the media like Katie Couric is clearly reaching a dangerous pre-riot stage.

This is clearly exampled by this story.

Consider that, while the country is in the grips of the worst recession in generations, which is still just coming on, that what are essentially slave-waged workers in the telemarketing industry would be willing to lay their difficult to find jobs on the line to show their reckless devotion to this politician who has been accorded a god-like status in the popular culture of a strange and somewhat estranged aggregate of American society.

The clearly misplaced exuberance is astonishing, and should be an astonishing warning to all.

I am not a millionaire, but I do personally have some money in the bank. I have no debt. But honestly even I am a little scared about the on-rushing recession.

Not one of these dozens of people who laid their jobs on the line for the myth of the Barack Obama candidacy lives anywhere near better than hand-to-mouth, or, paycheck to paycheck.

HOLY shit! What could these dozens of telemarketers possibly be thinking Barack Obama represents?

Barack Obama has become the recipient of messiah like devotion.

These telemarketers went down like martyrs. The next step is self-immolation!

It would be nice to think this election was so important, that it might relieve some of the economic and cultural stresses that have built up to what is clearly a threshold to something new, if it were not something more terrifying.

Neither candidate has done much to kindle any of my enthusiasm for life, politics, democracy or even civilization as I know it however.

I will put my wee reputation on the line here.

This phenomenon is a symptom of our collective disease.

It is not anything at all like a cure.
