A dead issue? A Ryan report . . .

It's no secret that former Gov. George Ryan received international praise for his moratorium on the death penalty when he was in office.

• • The buckshot: Sneed hears there's one aspect of Ryan's moratorium that could be an obstacle to gaining his freedom: Word is that President Bush, who has been asked to commute Gov. Ryan's 6½-year prison sentence, doesn't like the fact Gov. Ryan cleared Death Row.

Webmaster's Commentary: 

Best example of vindicitive, petty, Bush. He doesn't like former IL Gov. George Ryan because he cleared out IL Death Row because almost half the prisoners were found innocent by DNA and IL law students Innocence Project.
