THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!
"Imperialism today is taking place in the context of...the 'universalization' of capitalism. It is not now primarily a matter of territorial conquest or direct military or colonial control. It is not now a matter of capitalist powers invading non-capitalist powers in order to bleed them dry directly and by brute force. Now it is more a matter of ensuring that the forces of the capitalist market prevail in every corner of the world (even if this means marginalizing and impoverishing parts of it), and of manipulating those market forces to the advantage of the most powerful capitalist economies and the United States in particular." ... "Military force is still central to the imperialist project, in some ways more than ever."-- Political scientist Ellen Meiksins-Wood, Z magazine Nov 1999, p26

This is good news.
poorrichardWhen the stock market drops, it means that the gamblers, and speculators (using other peoples money) are in a losing streak..
But it also means that the people who save their money, perhaps not in banks, but in other ways like saving copper wire,, saving zinc off of old boats.. Saving silver solder shavings, saving platinum off of the catalytic converters in automobile junk yards.. collecting 12 gauge shotgun shells is a good investment.
Saving.. is the ticket.
Saving dollars in the banks is out! They will seize your paper money... and even if you keep it.. It will be worth nothing next to copper, zinc, nickle, gold, and platinum
and anything else that is worth something.. like corn, carrots, fish, beef.. and ham.. Yummie, I like ham.
If it ain't something you can eat, drink, or burn. or barter.. It ain't gonna be worth much. In the new future.
