Capital One stops some auto inventory financing

Capital One Financial Corp (COF.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Friday it will stop financing vehicle inventory for auto dealers in the states of New York and New Jersey, starting November.

Webmaster's Commentary: 

I am starting to wonder just how much of the final cost of a car is finance charges paid all along the way from building the car to shipping it to placing it on the lot, plus the interest paid by the final consumer. Do bankers outnumber mechanics on the assembly line?
