In the final days of the election many Republicans seem to have given up the fight for power. But don't be fooled: that doesn't mean they are relaxing. If you want to see real Republican elbow grease, check out the energy going into chucking great chunks of the $700bn bail-out out the door. At a recent Senate banking committee hearing, the Republican Bob Corker was fixated on this task, and with a clear deadline in mind: inauguration. "How much of it do you think may be actually spent by January 20 or so?" Corker asked Neel Kashkari, the 35-year-old former banker in charge of the bail-out.

Looting the Nation?
justiceWhat BLOWS my mind EVEN more,is how the American PEOPLE,let them get AWAY WITH IT.
The looting only works because the ignorance and/or the indifference of the American citizens!!
Even after the LAST decade(at least),I cannot believe how ineffectual the people are in expressing,AND DEMONSTRATING,their outrage at being raped and abused by their OWN corporate Government and private corporations of the Fed Res.and US Treasury!
Americans KNOW(or should by now) that they can expect NO HELP AND SUPPORT from Congress,or the JUDICIARY who are merely prostitutes of the corporations,and LOYAL ONLY to them.
But is that ANY REASON WHY Americans should remain so PASSIVE and redundant,rather than chasing down their PUBLIC SERVANTS,who the people PAY to protect and DEFEND THEM,and making them TOTALLY ACCOUNTABLE for their MISDEEDS and criminal neglect of the Constitution,Civil Liberties and Bill of Rights?
I tell you folks!
It all comes DOWN to the people,demanding MORE from these crooks,and making sure that they don't GET AWAY WITH AN INCH,or a CENT of the citizens money!
Don't expect ANYONE upon Capitol Hill,Penn.Avenue, or WALL f****** Street to do it for you!
They are vultures just there to PICK YOUR BONES,after they have PICKED YOUR SAVINGS,AND BANK ACCOUNTS CLEAN!
Americans have seen ALREADY what these crooks are up to,since 2000.
There is NO PLEADING IGNORANT now.
If Americans allow their Government to abuse them THEN on their own heads be it!
It's Americans fault for being SO trusting,ill-informed,indifferent,arrogant,blind OR ALL OF THOSE COMBINED.
What are you going to do?
Nobody has a gun to his/her head?
You going to just stand by and say,"Sure go ahead.Take away my job,rape my wife,beat my husband,abuse my kids,steal my home,rob my bank account,steal my pension" etc etc?
