Obama vows to defy GOP Congress and pass immigration reform with executive order

Following a disappointing Election Day for his Democratic Party, President Barack Obama said he may sign an executive order on immigration reform so the Republican-controlled Congress can take the issue up on its own.

From the White House on Wednesday afternoon, Pres. Obama told reporters he’s willing to authorize an immigration reform bill himself in order to kick-start lawmakers in the House of Representatives and Senate to work on their own solution.

The dumbest move yet on Iran?

The news media broke (or were given) the story that President Obama penned a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader:

The letter appeared aimed both at buttressing the campaign against Islamic State and nudging Iran’s religious leader closer to a nuclear deal.

Obamacare Goes Back on Trial: Supreme Court Agrees to Hear ACA Tax Subsidies Challenge

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed today to rule on the Obamacare case King v. Burwell, which asks whether the text of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act forbids the granting of tax credits to individuals who purchased insurance on health care exchanges operated by the federal government. The legal controversy arises from the fact that the text of the 2010 health care law limits such tax credits to individuals who purchased their insurance from an "exchange established by a State." Do those words cover the health care exchanges established by the federal government that are now operating in more than 30 states? We’ll soon find out.

Obama: Dictatorship Is Democracy

President Obama threatened to write his own laws through executive orders while claiming “that’s how democracy works.”

Responding to the Republican takeover of Congress yesterday, Obama said he will use executive orders if Congress doesn’t pass bills he wants to sign into law.

“I’m pretty sure I’ll take some actions that some in Congress will not like,” he said. “That’s natural.”

“That’s how our democracy works.”

No Asia trade pact expected on Obama's trip to region

The White House downplayed any expectations on Thursday (Nov 6) of progress on a much-awaited Pan-Pacific trade deal during President Barack Obama's upcoming trip to Asia.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), which would encompass 40 per cent of the global economy and include 12 nations, has been the subject of protracted negotiations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One major brick wall is the TPP demand to prohibit all labeling of GMO products. Many Asian nations already have mandatory labeling of such products such as Japan and would view having to reverse their policy as a sign of weakness towards the United States.

The Day Israel Attacked America

In 1967, at the height of the Arab-Israeli Six-Day War, the Israeli Air Force launched an unprovoked attack on the USS Liberty, a US Navy spy ship that was monitoring the conflict from the safety of international waters in the Mediterranean.

Israeli jet fighters hit the vessel with rockets, cannon fire and napalm, before three Israeli torpedo boats moved in to launch a second more devastating attack. Though she did not sink, the Liberty was badly damaged. Thirty-four US servicemen and civilian analysts were killed, another 171 were wounded.

Later Israel apologised for what it claimed to be a tragic case of mistaken identity. It said that it had believed the ship to be hostile Egyptian naval vessel. US President Lyndon Johnson was privately furious but publicly the White House chose not to challenge the word of its closest Middle East ally and accepted that the attack had been a catastrophic accident.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is the official Al Jazeera page for their recent documentary "The Day Israel Attacked America." Sadly it does not include the video itself, which is being scrubbed from YouTube as fas as they go up.

But what is worth reading are the comments on this page by Israel's defenders, who as usual are screaming that this is all an anti-Semitic plot! However, yesterday, no less than the Jerusalem Post confirmed that the government of Israel KNEW they were attacking an American ship when they attacked the USS Liberty.

No doubt the commenters below will now start screaming that the Jerusalem Post is anti-Semitic!

Left unmentioned in the Al Jazeera documentary (but covered in earlier ones) was that this was a naval variation of the Lavon Affair in which Israel attacked an American asset while framing Egypt for it, and the US was preparing an air strike against Egypt when the USS Liberty finally got a radio message out identifying who their real attackers were, which is the moment when Israel quit trying to sink the ship.

What is significant about the Al Jazeera docuentary is how much attention it has attracted. As I mentioned above, there have been previous documentaries about the USS Liberty such as BBC's "Dead in the Water", which came and went with little notice. That the current documentary has gained so much traction underscores that people are more willing to take an objective look at Israel's behavior these days, undeterred by screams of "anti-Semite" and "Jew Hater", accompanied by endless wagging of Hitler and the Nazis.

Inside the UN Resolution on Depleted Uranium

On October 31, a new United Nations General Assembly First Committee resolution on depleted uranium (DU) weapons passed overwhelmingly. There were 143 states in favor, four against, and 26 abstentions. The measure calls for UN member states to provide assistance to countries contaminated by the weapons. The resolution also notes the need for health and environmental research on depleted uranium weapons in conflict situations.

This fifth UN resolution on the subject was fiercely opposed by four depleted uranium-shooting countries — Britain, the United States, France and Israel — who cast the only votes in opposition. The 26 states that abstained reportedly sought to avoid souring lucrative trade relationships with the four major shooters.

ISIS: the Useful Enemy

The dark force of ISIS is apparently an invincible and unstoppable war juggernaut that is mercilessly killing and conquering in pursuit of establishing an Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. In reality, however, it is not as out of control as it appears. It is, indeed, carefully controlled and managed by its creators and supporters, that is, by the United States and its allies in the region—those who now pretend to have established a coalition to fight it! The U.S., Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and other allies in the region do not really need to fight ISIS to (allegedly) destroy it; all they need to do to extinguish its hellish flames is stop supplying fuel for its fire, that is, stop supplying it with funds, mercenaries, military training and armaments.

Boehner vows House will repeal Obamacare

House Speaker John A. Boehner said President Obama will “poison” chances for cooperation with Congress if he moves unilaterally to claim powers to grant legal status to illegal immigrants.

“He’s going to burn himself if he continues to go down this path,” Mr. Boehner said.

Newly elected to his House seat and likely to be returned at speaker in the next Congress, Mr. Boehner said he would like to tackle immigration in Congress but wouldn’t commit to holding a vote, saying he wanted to talk with his fellow House Republicans first.

He did, however, say the House will vote to repeal Obamacare and will also likely pass a bunch of bills to carve out some of the most contentious parts such as a tax on medical devices or the individual mandate.

“We need to put them on the president’s desk and let him choose,” the speaker said.

(WAR) BUSINESS AS USUAL IN ISRAEL

Israel and the United States used the inauguration of a joint warplane project on Tuesday to stress it was business as usual in an alliance hit by acrimony over Israeli settlement building and strategy against Iran.

At a ceremony at the Israeli manufacturer of wings for Lockheed Martin Corp’s F-35 jet fighter, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon described his country’s participation in the project as evidence that bilateral ties were bulletproof.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Barack Obama have often been at odds over how to respond to Palestinian statehood demands or balance diplomacy and the threat of force in curbing Iran’s disputed nuclear program.

Pearl Harbor: Roosevelt’s 9/11

Up until then, however, Americans had overwhelmingly opposed involvement in World War II. They had been thoroughly disillusioned by the First World War:

although they had been told they would be fighting for “democracy” in that previous war, taxpayers learned from the postwar Graham Committee of Congress that they’d been defrauded out of some $6 billion in armaments that were never manufactured or delivered1;
atrocity tales about German soldiers (such as cutting the hands off thousands of Belgian children) had turned out to be fabrications;
the sinking of the Lusitania – the central provocation that ultimately led to the U.S. declaration of war – had been committed by Germany not to kill women and children (as propaganda claimed), but to prevent tens of tons of war munitions from reaching the European front. Obama: Full speed ahead on illegal alien amnesty despite election day fiasco

Following the Republican triumphs on election day, which will radically change the composition of both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives, many believed President Barack Obama would understand the "error of his ways," according to a number of political and law enforcement analysts. Unfortunately they claim that Obama appears oblivious to the facts. During his press conference on Wednesday, not even 24-hours after his party's defeat, he said that if Congress doesn't pass what he considers immigration reform he will begin his own version of reform by taking the first step towards amnesty: ordering a reduction in deportations of working immigrants living in the country illegally.

FLASHBACK 2002 - The USA PATRIOT Act Was Planned Before 9/11

Many people do not know that the USA PATRIOT Act was already written and ready to go long before September 11th. Recent criticism of Bush's admission that he had received warnings only weeks before September 11th has made it more important to understand the origins of the USAPA.

The USA PATRIOT Act -- the so-called "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001," a.k.a. the USAPA -- was enacted in the immediate wake of 9/11, riding a wave of fear that spread over the nation. This Act has caused much concern amongst civil rights advocates. The Administration, however, responded to such concerns by calling critics unpatriotic. Now, the White House has had a similar response to critics of Bush's recent admission of early warnings.

In his first public statement after the midterm elections, President Barack Obama said he would ask Congress for a new authorization of force to fight the Islamic State, the jihadist group currently operating in Iraq and Syria. The authorization the White House is seeking will replace the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force against al Qaeda that provided the legal basis for the invasion of Afghanistan and the 2002 authorization that gave legal cover for the invasion of Iraq. The administration had relied on the previous authorizations for the current campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria despite protests from members of both parties in Congress.

IRS officials admit never trying to retrieve Lois Lerner's 'missing' emails

Now that Republican lawmakers will control both houses of the U.S. Congress beginning in Jan. 1, 2015, many conservatives and libertarians want them to pursue the truth regarding corruption, abuse and criminal acts within the decidedly partisan Internal Revenue Service. A top nonprofit, nonpartisan Washington, D.C., watchdog reported on Wednesday that officials from the scandal-ridden Internal Revenue Service (IRS) after saying they would do all they could to retrieve the requested documents, especially the IRS's controversial employee Lois Lerner's emails, admitted that they did absolutely nothing to try to find the mysterious "missing emails."

According to several sources, New Hampshire's ultra-progressive Shaheen is up to her "self-righteous neck" in a plot with the infamous Lois Lerner, President Barack Obama’s political appointee to the IRS, to lead a politcal vendetta of harassment against conservative nonprofit groups, especially True the Vote, in the midet of the 2012 election, said political strategist Michael Barker, a former criminal prosecuting attoney.

Humbled Obama tells voters: ‘I hear you’

After a crushing defeat for Democrats in the midterm elections, President Obama told American voters Wednesday he understands their frustrations and is fully prepared to work with Republicans in Congress.

“The American people sent a message, one that they’ve sent for several elections now — they expect the people they elect to work as hard as they do. They expect us to focus on their ambitions and not ours,” the president said during a news conference at the White House. “They want us to get the job done. What Do US Election Results Mean for US-Israel Relations?

Prof. Eytan Gilboa, an expert on American-Israeli relations, spoke with Arutz Sheva about what he deemed the "three major issues Israel is concerned about," that could be significantly impacted by this change in US legislative control.

The first - the war with Islamic State (ISIS). Although the United States has been launching airstrikes against the terrorist group in Syria and Iraq, many Republicans feel the Obama administration's foreign policy is not doing enough against what many constituents view as a "serious threat."

With the Republican victory an increase in military spending and a comprehensive debate over policy toward the Islamic State seems likely.

‘Election Eve Dump:’ Eric Holder Releases Fast and Furious Documents That Got Him Cited for Contempt

Justice Department officials provided House investigators with thousands of documents related to Operation Fast and Furious that President Obama had previously claimed were exempt from congressional review.

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger Agreed to Starve Americans for Israel in the Event of an Oil Crisis

In 1975, the US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, secretly brokered a deal in which the United States of America guaranteed Israel’s oil supply in the event of a crisis. The 1975 Israel-United States Memorandum of Understanding (see the full text below) required the United States to maintain an oil reserve for Israel and guarantee the shipping of that oil to Israel in times of emergency. This deal has cost the United States more than a hundred billion dollars since it was first enacted. The most troubling aspect of this deal was not the cost however, but the stipulation that in case of an oil emergency in which both the US and Israel needed oil, the US would give its oil to Israel. Government Lied About Pandemic Which Killed 50 Million People … Attempt to “Prevent Panic” Backfired

In the United States, national and local government and public health authorities badly mishandled the [1918 "Spanish Flu"] epidemic [which killed up to 50 million people worldwide], offering a useful case study.

The context is important. Every country engaged in World War I tried to control public perception. To avoid hurting morale, even in the nonlethal first wave the press in countries fighting in the war did not mention the outbreak. (But Spain was not at war and its press wrote about it, so the pandemic became known as the Spanish flu).

The United States was no different. In 1917 California Senator Hiram Johnson made the since-famous observation that “The first casualty when war comes is truth.” The U.S. government passed a law that made it punishable by 20 years in jail to “utter, print, write or publish any disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language about the government of the United States.”

Are Progressives Finking Out on Foreign Policy?

For all the endless fund-raising appeals and election hyperbole, few progressive politicians want to talk about our biggest foreign policy challenge, the escalation of American involvement in Syria and Iraq. Both Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders voted against training and arming the “moderates” in Syria. But neither have wanted to make an issue of Obama’s military intervention, and few on the left have called for them to do so.

This is sad, but not surprising, as I warned over a year ago in “Don’t Let Hillary Housebreak the New, New Left.” It’s wonderful that voters want more populist domestic policies, and it’s marvelously misleading that the multi-millionaire Clinton is verbally attacking Wall Street billionaires. I don’t think this is what my old comrades had in mind when they talked of class struggle.

Why is there such an explosion of violence across the Middle East? Here's an alternative view...

Not so with America and the war in Syria. “Right from the beginning of this crisis, I never truly felt that the issue was about President Assad,” she says. “It was about the weakening and destruction of Syria. There has been so much destruction – of hospitals, schools, factories, government institutions, you name it. I think the Americans take their battles against leaders and presidents – but only as a pretext to destroy countries. Saddam was not the real target –it was Iraq. And it’s the same for Libya now – America told everyone it was about Gaddafi. The real issue is about weakening the Arab armies, whoever they are. When the Americans invaded Iraq, what was the first thing they did? They dissolved the Iraqi army.”

Noting that U.S. college costs have gone up 500% since 1985, the Washington Post recommends seven countries where U.S. students can go to college for free without bothering to learn the language of the natives or anything so primitive.

These are nations with less wealth than the United States has, but which make college free or nearly free, both for citizens and for dangerous illegals visiting their Homelands.

How do they do it?

Three of them have a higher top tax rate than the United States has, but four of them don’t.

What does the United States spend its money on that these other countries do not? What is the largest public program in the United States? What makes up over 50% of federal discretionary spending in the United States?

Emotions rule their reason, and they are capable of a determined resistance to facts and are not inhibited from displays of rudeness and ignorance. Some simply cannot read and confuse explanations with justifications as if the act of explaining something justifies the person or event explained. Thankfully, all readers are not handicapped in these ways or there would be no point in trying to inform the American people.

Regardless of the outcome of today's U.S. mid-term elections, there are some things that won't change one iota. US Destroying Syria’s Oil Infrastructure Under Guise of Fighting ISIS

The US is considering bombing pipelines in Syria, which it claims is in an attempt to cut off the huge profits being made by ISIS from captured oilfields.

The trouble with this justification for destroying Syria’s oil pipelines, is that ISIS does not have the capability to use the pipelines to transfer oil. ISIS transports the stolen oil on the back of trucks, and sells it on the black market in Turkey.

FLASHBACK 2010 - Obama Administration Gives NIH Priority to Bioweapons Research

The priorities of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the area of bacteriology have been “catastrophically re-ordered” by emphasizing bioweapons research over non-bioweapons research, a prominent authority states.

Giving priority to bioweapons research at NIH, started under the Bush Administration and continuing under President Obama, “diverts resources from critical public-health and scientific objectives,” says Richard Ebright, Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J.

“The negative impact has been most severe in bacteriology, in which NIH research priorities have been catastrophically re-ordered—with research on bacterial bioweapons receiving more support than research on the top five bacterial causes of death combined—and in which non-bioweapons research has suffered catastrophic losses in resources and personnel,” Ebright said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, back in 2010 Obama ordered the NIH to switch their priority from health to bioweapons research. Professor Francis Boyle reports that NIH spliced Ebola with the common cold to weaponize it, and evidence has surfaced that the bioweapon lab at Kenema was testing a vaccine against this weaponized Ebola last January ... which is when the Ebola outbreak erupted in the area around that lab. Now Obama has quietly "paused" offensive bioweapon research in the US.

This is starting to read like the first chapter of Stephen King's "The Stand", where the world population is all but wiped out when a bioweapon, popularly called "Captain Trips", escaped from a US laboratory.

The administration's handling of Ebola as if it is no big deal may partly be rooted in their awareness that the US, and Obama, may be at root responsible for this deadly outbreak!

White House downplays Hagel’s warning on policy toward Assad

The White House and the Pentagon sought to downplay a memo from Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel which offers a dour assessment of US strategy toward Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Pony Rides for Illegals, Slashed Benefits for Americans

Illegal immigrant children entering the country without their parents or adults, now called “Unaccompanied Adults,” or UACs by the government, are receiving a tax payer subsidized bounty.

From petting zoos with miniature ponies to a tilapia fish farm operations and guitar lessons, UACs are lavished with perks, according to documents released by Sen. Charles E. Grassley, an Iowa Republican.

Preferred contractors reap handsome profit when they provide these dished out perks, in some cases upward to $329 per child a day.

Meanwhile, for citizens, federal and state government have decided to cutback on food stamps and unemployment benefits.

Obama's Soak the Rich 60% Tax Hike on Investment Income Is Drowning the Middle Class

The curse of the U.S. economy today is the downward trend in “take-home pay.” This is the most crucial economic indicator for most Americans. ... Most workers’ pay has not kept up with inflation for at least six years. ...

Why aren’t wages rising? There are several reasons, including that many jobs today don’t pay as well as the ones lost during the recession. ObamaCare has made health insurance more expensive for businesses—as the nation’s biggest employer, Wal-Mart , recently reported—and that takes a bite out of take-home pay. Yet one factor is often overlooked: the tax increase on “the rich” at the beginning of 2013.

In California, Consumer Watchdog's Prop 45 Challenges Obamacare — From the Left

Blue Shield of California, one of the state's four major health insurers, has a sales office on the 20th floor of the Pacific Corporate Towers in El Segundo. Had the employees peered down to the plaza on a recent Tuesday morning, they would have seen a small cluster of picketers.

From 300 feet up, it would be impossible to read the signs, or hear the chants, or smell the aroma drifting off the white pickup truck that was parked below in a loading zone. But on the ground, the scent is unmistakable: manure.

Jamie Court, the president of Consumer Watchdog, shovels some into a wheelbarrow and announces that he will be delivering it to Blue Shield's executives.

"We're gonna give them back what they've been giving us for the last five months," he tells a row of news cameras. "We're not buying their bull."

The US Economy Runs Into A Problem If Oil Hits $75

US shale oil is now the marginal swing barrel in the new world oil order, and as Goldman Sachs warns (despite Larry Kudlow apparently knowing better), a decline in WTI to $75/bbl would start to significantly slow US shale growth (and thus employment, capex, and the entire US economy).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Obama was intent on harming Russia's oil exports and made a deal with Saudi Arabia to increase production to crush oil prices. But, as has become the hallmark of decision-making by the White House, nobody thought this all the way through as to what harm it might bring to the US. And Saudi Arabia is laughing that US attempts at oil independence are being crushed under the anti-Russian agenda and US dependence on Saudi Arabia will increase!

9/11 Was NATO’s License to Expand Globally

The 9/11 attacks on the United States undoubtedly benefited a number of actors, including the American military-intelligence complex, Israel, and most definitely, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The Cold War-era, the area of responsibility for which had long been confined to Europe and North America, used the provisions of Article 5 of the NATO Charter – which states that an attack on one member is an attack on all – to extend NATO’s power deep into Eurasia, particularly in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

After engaging in out-of-area invasions and occupations of Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Libya, and Syria and, again in Iraq, against the «Islamic State,» the «North Atlantic» military bloc has transformed itself from a Cold War defensive alliance into a global offensive axis of nations that acts with or without United Nations authorization.

Iran says foils bid to sabotage nuclear heavy-water tanks

Iran has foiled an attempt to sabotage tanks used for transporting heavy water, which is needed to run some nuclear reactors, and blames a "foreign country" for the incident, a senior official was quoted by local media as saying.

The Islamic Republic is at odds with the West over suspicions it is covertly using its declared civilian atomic energy programme to develop a nuclear arms capability. It denies this and has repeatedly accused certain Western states of trying to cripple the programme through acts of sabotage.

Total War Over The Petrodollar

The conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Total SA’s chief executive, Christophe de Margerie, started the second the news broke of his death. Under mysterious circumstances in Moscow, his private jet collided with a snowplow just after midnight. De Margerie was the CEO of Total, France’s largest oil company.

He’d just attended a private meeting with Russian Prime Minister Medvedev, at a time when the West’s relationship with Russia is fraught, to say the least.

One has better odds of being struck by lightning at an airport then a snow plow, or any other ground support vehicles hitting a plane and killing all inside the plane, in my opinion. And I say that as someone who’s familiar with airports, having worked at Vancouver International Airport when I was in university; I was the one who would bring the plane into its parking bay.

Hugger-in-Chief

Nina Pham, the first person to be infected with Ebola within the United States, had just been declared disease-free and discharged from the National Institutes of Health. Obama is a rational, science-friendly guy, so he knew she wasn’t any danger to him. It didn’t take courage to hug her.

And yet, another modern president failed a similar test. Facing the greatest public health crisis of his administration, Ronald Reagan was not heroic. He was a dithering coward.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pure political bovine excrement. Obama hugs a healthy woman and Slate declares him morally superior to Ronald Reagan on that one point alone. Given how quickly Nina went from "got Ebola" to "Ebola free", especially in light of research papers saying recovered people can still pass along the disease for weeks after they recover, I am starting to wonder if Nina ever really had it to start with, or is just another "Wag the Ebola" hoax to keep us all flooding the shopping malls for the Christmas shopping season and make sure we show up at the voting booths next week. Because has I been part of the President's protective detail, under no circumstances would I have allowed him in the same room with Nine, let alone a hug for the cameras.

Surprise! Valerie Jarrett helped cover up Fast and Furious

Sometimes those who follow politics closely erroneously assume that everyone else follows it closely as well. But for those of you who don’t, here’s a brief explanation of Fast and Furious:

It’s not just a movie series, it’s the name of an operation where the Obama administration illegally gave thousands of weapons, including military grade guns, to Mexican criminals, supposedly in an attempt to track criminal activity in Mexico. However, not only was the operation a complete failure, hundreds of Mexicans (and at least one American) were killed with these weapons. When Congressional investigators, who, by all accounts, were not aware of the operation (and did not authorize it) began investigating it, Obama claimed executive privilege in order to keep damning information about his involvement in the operation kept secret.

The Obama administration is claiming executive privilege over more than 15,000 documents related to Operation Fast and Furious, including correspondence between Attorney General Eric Holder and his wife, according to records received Wednesday night by the watchdog group Judicial Watch.

Instead of Appointing a Medical Expert, Obama Appoints a LOBBYIST as Ebola Czar

What’s He Going To Do … Lobby To Convince Congress That Ebola Is Not That Big A Risk?

Obama has appointed Ron Klain as the Ebola Czar.

Klain has no medical or healthcare background whatsoever.

Instead, he’s a high-powered lobbyist. He helped the corrupt Fannie Mae to overcome “regulatory issues” in 2004. Wikipedia notes:

Klain [helped in] convincing Congress and Fannie Mae’s regulators that Fannie Mae wasn’t doing anything dangerous, and wasn’t exposing taxpayers to risk. In other words, Ron Klain got paid to help fuel the housing bubble up until a couple of years before it popped.

Klain also:

Represented a company facing asbestos-exposure lawsuits, the embattled drugmaker ImClone and two companies trying to win support for large mergers.

FLASHBACK 2012 - A CIA gambit in Pakistan threatens a global vaccination program

As an intelligence operation, it must have seemed like pure genius: Recruit a Pakistani doctor to collect blood samples that could identify Osama bin Laden’s family, under cover of an ongoing vaccination program. But as an ethical matter, it was something else.

The CIA’s vaccination gambit put at risk something very precious — the integrity of public health programs in Pakistan and around the globe. It also added to the dangers facing nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in a world that’s increasingly hostile to U.S. aid organizations.

Flawed Ebola protocols left U.S. nurses vulnerable, health official says

An Obama administration health official said Sunday that U.S. protocols on Ebola failed because they originally were intended for African field hospitals, while the White House came under another round of attacks for its refusal to restrict travel from nations suffering epidemic outbreaks.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said the original Centers for Disease Control and Prevention instructions for dealing with the virus were taken from the World Health Organization’s protocol for Africa, where conditions are much different from those in U.S. hospitals.

Obamacare ‘bronze’ plan premiums expected to jump 14% in 2015

Obamacare “bronze” plan owners may be in for a shock next year. Investors predict the cheapest healthcare offering under the Affordable Care Act could jump nearly 14 percent in price.

Public Health Expert Explains How to Prevent a Panic About Ebola: Tell the Truth!

I categorically reject the idea that you can’t tell people you “don’t know” … because you’re afraid you’ll scare them.

There is a complete [scientific] literature on risk communications that says people are never frightened if you tell them you don’t know, but “this is what I’m doing to learn”. Or [if you tell them] “this is something, and it might be very scary.”

The literature shows – over and over again – there are 2 things that will turn them to be very concerned … if not scared.

One is if you tell them with certainty “A”, and then you tell them with certainty “B”, and then A and B don’t happen … or they happen in a way you didn’t tell them. Then they wonder about your credibility.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Which is exactly what is happening now. It is not the Ebola that has people scared but the obvious mismanagement by the government!

It's Starting: Russians and Chinese Are Ditching the Dollar and Europeans Are Using Renminbi in Their Reserves

At present, US dollar accounts for roughly 61% of the world's foreign exchange reserves.

It's still a safe bet for most, not because the currency is actually strong, but because so many others are already so reliant on it.

Between those with reserves in and pegs to the US dollar, many countries have given their allegiance, and now have a vested interest in the health of the currency.

Due to this common interest, a sort of unofficial, involuntary alliance has been formed between them all.

Together, they’re all playing along, pretending that everything is fine. If the dollar collapses, they're all screwed, so they've got to get each other’s backs.

From the throne of the world’s reserve currency, the Federal Reserve, with the power to print the US dollar, feels dangerously omnipotent.

They can get away with just about anything. For now.

Senior Republicans criticize Ebola 'czar' choice for lack of medical background

Senior Republicans on Capitol Hill Friday criticized Ron Klain, President Obama’s choice to be “Ebola czar,” as a figurehead with no health background.

“Given the mounting failings in the Obama administration’s response to the Ebola outbreak, it is right that the president has sought to task a single individual to coordinate its response, “said Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. “But I have to ask why the president didn’t pick an individual with a noteworthy infectious disease or public health background?”

Klain, a longtime political hand, served as chief of staff to Al Gore and Vice President Joe Biden but has no apparent medical or health care background.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Basically Obama has declared that it is okay to hire a pilot who does not know how to fly, a captain with no knowledge of navigation, and a bridge builder with no knowledge of engineering. I guess this is acceptable for a President with no knowledge of how to actually run a country!

#StopEbolaStrike: National Strike to Force Obama to Block West African Flights

Infowars.com is calling for a general strike across the United States in response to the federal government’s botched response to the Ebola outbreak and the Obama administration’s refusal to block flights coming in from West Africa.

Countries bordering those in West Africa impacted by the Ebola outbreak have been successful in stopping the spread of the virus by blocking flights, including Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau and Senegal, and yet the Obama administration has refused to do likewise despite innumerable public figures calling on the White House to take action.

Numerous airlines have also restricted flights to Ebola-affected countries and yet the United States remains wide open to potential Ebola patients not only via airports but also via the country’s porous southern border, where hundreds of illegal aliens from Ebola-hit countries have poured across in recent months.

$39,643,352 worth of NIH funding that could have gone to the Ebola vaccine

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has spent more than $39 million on obese lesbians, origami condoms, texting drunks, and dozens of other projects that could have been scrapped in favor of developing an Ebola vaccine.

“Frankly, if we had not gone through our 10-year slide in research support, we probably would have had a vaccine in time for this that would’ve gone through clinical trials and would have been ready,” said NIH Director Francis Collins, blaming budget cuts for his agency’s failure to develop a vaccine for the deadly virus.

However, the Washington Free Beacon has uncovered $39,643,352 worth of NIH studies within the past several years that have gone to questionable research.

For instance, the agency has spent $2,873,440 trying to figure out why lesbians are obese, and $466,642 on why fat girls have a tough time getting dates. Another $2,075,611 was spent encouraging old people to join choirs.

Obama: I Kissed The Ebola Nurses

President Barack Obama boasted that he kissed nurses at the Atlanta hospital where Ebola patients were being treated.

Obama made clear that he is not afraid of Ebola, saying Wednesday, ”I shook hands with, hugged, and kissed, not the doctors, but a couple of the nurses at Emory because of the valiant work that they did,” Obama said. “In treating one of the patients, they followed the protocols, they knew what they were doing, and I felt perfectly safe doing so.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Even with the recent screw-ups I cannot imagine the secret service allowing the President to kiss any nurse who had actually been near the area where the Ebola patients are being treated. This appears to be a repeat of Obama's swim in the Gulf of Mexico following the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon, only it was later revealed that the swim had actually taken place in a swimming pool near the edge of the gulf.

Even this story admits Obama kissed the nurses weeks ago before Ebola was even there! What is alarming about this story is that Obama is still looking at Ebola as a public relations issue. His goal is to keep everyone calm, keep them using the airlines, keep them going to the shopping malls, and make sure they show up at those voting booths next month. As a side note, the "nurse" appears to be wearing a patient wrist band and if they are following the standard color codes, this patient is considered at risk for falling, suggesting recovery from an injury to the leg or foot.

President Obama has issued an executive order allowing the Pentagon to call up reserve troops to combat the Ebola crisis in Africa.

Obama notified Congress of his order Thursday. It reads: "I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation United Assistance, which is providing support to civilian-led humanitarian assistance and consequence management support related to the Ebola virus disease outbreak in West Africa.

The Pentagon is identifying gaps that active-duty troops cannot fill, said a Defense Department official who was not authorized to speak publicly about the issue. Among the specialists that might be tapped: technical engineering, communication systems, logisticians, comptrollers and religious specialists.

All reservists called to duty will be given proper training and medical-threat briefings, the official said.

Did The Saudis Just Get A Tap On The Shoulder?

As a result, one wonders: did Obama realize that Russian "costs" which as everyone knows by now include a Eurpoean triple-dip recession, could also very soon include an insolvent US shale industry, and thus may be just a little too much, and, one further wonders, if he is the one who just tapped Saudi Arabia on the shoulder?

'Origami' condoms, Michelle Obama gardening games and poop-throwing chimps: NIH spent millions on wacky projects but now complains cuts killed off Ebola vaccine research

The $30 billion U.S. National Institutes of Health blamed tightening federal budgets on Monday for its inability to produce an Ebola vaccine, but a review of its grant-making history in the last 10 years has turned up highly unusual research that redirected precious funds away from more conventional public health projects.

The projects included $2.4 million to develop 'origami' condoms designed with Japanese folding paper in mind, and $939,000 to find out that male fruit flies prefer to romance younger females because the girl-flies' hormone levels drop over time.

Other winners of NIH grants consumed $325,000 to learn that marriages are happier when wives calm down more quickly during arguments with their husbands, and $257,000 to make an online game as a companion to first lady Michelle Obama's White House garden.

The agency also spent $117,000 in taxpayers' grant dollars to discover that most chimpanzees are right-handed.

Four Years Ago....Obama administration scraps quarantine regulations

The Obama administration has quietly scrapped plans to enact sweeping new federal quarantine regulations that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention touted four years ago as critical to protecting Americans from dangerous diseases spread by travelers. The regulations, proposed in 2005 during the Bush administration amid fears of avian flu, would have given the federal government additional powers to detain sick airline passengers and those exposed to certain diseases. They also would have expanded requirements for airlines to report ill passengers to the CDC and mandated that airlines collect and maintain contact information for fliers in case they later needed to be traced as part of an investigation into an outbreak.

Ann Coulter - WE'LL TELL YOU HOW DANGEROUS EBOLA IS AFTER THE ELECTION

This summer, the U.S. government imposed a travel ban on Israel simply to pressure Prime Minister Netanyahu into accepting a ceasefire agreement. But we can't put a travel restriction on countries where a contagious disease is raging.

It's becoming increasingly clear this is just another platform for Obama to demonstrate that we are citizens of the world. The entire Ebola issue is being discussed -- by our government, not the United Nations -- as if Liberians are indistinguishable from Americans, and U.S. taxpayers should be willing to pay whatever it takes to save them.

Maybe we should give them the vote, too! If Ebola was concentrated in Finland and Norway -- certainly Israel! -- we'd have had a travel ban on Day One.

Saudis Dump Oil To Increase Leverage Over U.S. Middle East Policies

During the last years U.S. president Obama talked a lot about energy independence:

In his fifth State of the Union address on Tuesday, President Barack Obama celebrated the efforts his administration has made to cut greenhouse gas emissions, while also praising recent increases in domestic oil and gas production.

Obama said early in his address that there is now more "oil produced at home than we buy from the rest of the world," for the first time in two decades.

Obama did not say that the increase in U.S. fossil fuel production was only possible because international oil and gas prices had increased above the magic $100 per barrel equivalent. Below that price shale gas and oil extraction as well as oil production from tar sands are only marginally profitable or not profitable at all.

Though the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) refuses to discuss the origin of the current outbreak of Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68), the fact that emergency rooms across the country began seeing infected children around the same time as the nation's public schools were re-opening for the 2013-2014 school year, should serve as at least a clue as to how the virus made its way here.

Republican Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts said Friday that he thinks the IRS targeting scandal was driven by Valerie Jarrett’s office in the White House, according to information that he saw that Democrats tried to “whitewash.”

Roberts told talk radio host Hugh Hewitt that he participated in a Senate Finance Committee investigation into the IRS scandal but “the effort was made by the majority, by the Democrats in the Congress, to simply end that investigation,” which he called a “whitewash.”

“I’m convinced that even Valerie Jarrett was involved,” Roberts said.

Agenda 21 land grab? Obama Designates San Gabriel Mountains National Monument

President Barack Obama declared a national monument on almost 350,000 acres of land in the San Gabriel Mountains near Los Angeles. In a climate-change world, those resources would be important to control under federal law and other Agenda 21 initiatives.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is also some gold underneath those mountains, enough to lure weekend prospectors who like to pan the streams and rivers, especially after a major quake when gold gets shaken out of the seams. Claire and I used to go gold panning there and some of the gold we panned is in her wedding ring.8

BEX ALERT - Russia Deploying Tactical Nuclear Arms in Crimea

Russia is moving tactical nuclear weapons systems into recently-annexed Crimea while the Obama administration is backing informal talks aimed at cutting U.S. tactical nuclear deployments in Europe.

Three senior House Republican leaders wrote to President Obama two weeks ago warning that Moscow will deploy nuclear missiles and bombers armed with long-range air launched cruise missiles into occupied Ukrainian territory.

“Locating nuclear weapons on the sovereign territory of another state without its permission is a devious and cynical action,” states the letter signed by House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R., Calif.) and two subcommittee chairmen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Of course, neither Bill Gertz nor Howard McKeon provide any proof of this assertion. It is just a replay of Saddam's Nukes to move along the agenda of direct confrontation with Russia. Putin's track records to date is to keep things calmed down, and hence he would not do such a provocative move. Nor does he need to. Russia has plenty of long-range nuclear weapons safely inside their own territory, and does not need to forward base any into Crimea.

Critics to Obama: 'Draconian Cuts' Have Been to US Public Services, Not War Budget

President Obama's comments on Wednesday that U.S. military spending is under threat of "draconian" cuts were met with immediate rebuke from analysts, who say the poor are bearing the brunt of austerity while the war budget remains largely untouched.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And that is a major reason this nation is not really prepared to handle an Ebola outbreak here!

Why Benjamin Netanyahu Is Wrong To Cite ‘American Values’ in Jerusalem Feud

In case you missed it, Netanyahu and President Obama were blindsided hours before their October 1 Oval Office meeting by an announcement of new construction in East Jerusalem. Final approval had been given for 2,610 housing units at Givat Matos, across the old pre-1967 border on the road to Bethlehem. These announcements crop up regularly at delicate moments in U.S.-Israel relations. It’s almost a ritual.

Dem Pollster: Hispanics May Stay Home for Midterms Because Obama Delayed Exec Amnesty

A top Democratic pollster thinks Hispanic voters may sit out the 2014 midterm elections because President Barack Obama did not enact his executive amnesty by the end of the summer.

Pollster Celinda Lake told The Hill that Democrats face "a big uphill battle for the Latino turnout, and that's going to affect our candidates" in places like Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Georgia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, Obama allowed all these illegals into the nation, carrying all these infectious illnesses like drug-resistant tuberculosis and Enterovirus, simply to create some new Democratic voters out of thin air!

Guess who Obama is now blaming for his poor approval ratings…

On Tuesday, President Obama identified a new scapegoat with regards to his poor approval ratings. Obama told a group of wealthy donors that the media was to blame for his dismal dip in approval ratings and implied that the mainstream media was also responsible for the unpopular public image of his tenure. Obama’s approval ratings continued to plummet in September, reaching an all time low of 38%.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You think being a major screw-up might have something to do with it, Barry?

Israelis: Send Obama Ebola

According to an August 2014 poll, half of Israelis want to send Obama Ebola for only supporting Israeli terrorism 95, not 100%.

In the wake of Israel’s summer 2014 genocidal massacre in Gaza, euphemistically called Operation “Protective” Edge,” the US corporate media is finally (somewhat) catching on to the egregious degree of violent extremism, racism, and downright fasc
