US war veterans tossing medals back at Nato was a heroic act

Nato summit leaders should have been forced to watch the moving protest of the former troops chucking their medals away.

It was one of the most moving experiences many of us had witnessed in our lives. It is hard to describe in words. I couldn't get the lump out of my throat. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a woman next to me crying. Their words, their voices, crackling under the emotion of their courageous act, breaking under the weight of the pain, the trauma, their anger, sadness, and hope – theirs was a heroic and beautiful act, a moving ceremony. It was a privilege to be there with these women and men who served in our wars.

Operation Iraqi Freedom medal. Tossed. Global War on Terror medal. Thrown. National Defense medal. Pitched. Marine Corps Good Conduct medal. Flung. Navy and Marine Corps medal. Chucked.

STILL WAITING TO HOLD ISRAEL ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE MURDERS ON THE MAVI MARMARA

Nine Turkish families, including the parents of an American citizen buried their loved ones two years ago, all victims of Israeli terrorism at sea. May they never be forgotten. May their memory serve as an inspiration for all seeking Justice and Peace throughout the world. May their murderers never be forgiven for their crime against humanity.

Turkey warns Israel over airspace violations

NICOSIA, Cyprus, May 18 (UPI) -- The dispute between Turkey and Israel over major natural gas fields under the eastern Mediterranean escalated sharply after Ankara scrambled F-16s to intercept an Israeli aircraft over Turkish-controlled northern Cyprus, where Ankara has started exploratory drilling.

US 'Kurdish' Threat Aimed at Turkey, Not Syria

Kurdish groups have thus far stayed out of NATO's destabilization of Syria, US threats to arm and unleash Kurdish groups aims at coaxing Turkey to act.

Tony Cartalucci, Contributor
Activist Post

The violence in Syria has been predominantly carried out by extremist groups, tied to Al Qaeda, and organized, funded, staged, and armed by the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, with Lebanon's Hariri faction playing a major supporting role. Starting as early as 2007, it was reported that Syria's notoriously violent Muslim Brotherhood was already receiving support from the West to begin undermining Syria as part of a grander strategy to to break the Iranian-Syrian-Hezbollah sphere of influence across the region.

The New World Order: Ben Gurion’s “One True Zion” ?

What exactly is the “New World Order”?

by Kevin Barrett

There is talk in conspiracy circles about a bankster plot to reduce the world to slavery.

Unfortunately, the conspiracy theorists are right. John Perkins, in Confessions of an Economic Hit Man and subsequent books, offers convincing first-hand testimony of his exploits in service to the New World Order bankster conspiracy.

Excuse Me, But Israel Has No Right To Exist

The most important thing we can do as we hover on the horizon of One State is to shed the old language rapidly. None of it was real anyway – it was just the parlance of that particular “game.” Grow a new vocabulary of possibilities – the new state will be the dawn of humanity’s great reconciliation. Muslims, Christians and Jews living together in Palestine as they once did.

Turkey pumps up oil imports from Iran: ‘Big hole’ in Western sanctions?

Turkey has sharply increased oil imports from Iran, risking anger from Western powers desperate to isolate Iran from the international market. Turkey imported over a million tons of Iranian crude this March - the highest purchase since last July.

Political analyst Chris Bambery told RT that the US has much less influence on Ankara these days, and Turkey is highly unlikely to join the US-EU Iranian oil embargo.

RT: Trade between Iran and Turkey has increased sharply in recent months, peaking in March. How much of a problem are the US and EU sanctions on Iran for Ankara?

Crunch Time in Syria: The UN Protocol’s Jihadist Problem

It is crunch time in Syria. Allow the jihadist battle to take flight there, and there is no telling how far and wide this fight will spread. The Annan Plan is the “only game in town,” and the Syrian Army the only military force that can take action against these militants.

We have arrived at a determining moment in the Syrian crisis. The choices are startlingly simple:

1) Cautious, incremental movement toward political reconciliation and reform spearheaded by the Syrian government and closely monitored by Kofi Annan’s UN mission, Moscow, Tehran and Beijing.

2) Dangerous escalation of violence and militarization that will increasingly include foreign jihadists and is likely spill over into the broader Middle East.

Clinton says Turkey may invoke NATO’s Article 4 over Syrian tension

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that NATO member Turkey may invoke Article 4 of the alliance’s charter, which sees consultations among the member countries when the security of any parties involved, are in danger in regard to escalating tension along Turkey’s Syria border.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That is odd; I don't recall the US making such a suggestion when Israel attacked Turkish-flagged ships in international waters and gunned down unarmed peace activists!

Turkey states Syrian peace initiative dead after Syrian troops fire across border

Turkey declared a UN-backed initiative to end the crisis in Syria was dead yesterday after Bashar al-Assad's troops opened fire into Turkey and Lebanon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I notice this article does not allow comments, probably because the commenters would all say the same thing. With all the hired mercenaries trying to stage a coup inside Syria, how do you know Assad' did the shooting? Why would he do something that obvious and provocative? Are the shells signed, "With love and kisses, Bashie?"

Kurdistan Revival; Israel Splits Iraq

“No one will be able to blackmail us,” the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu answered the inflammatory plan proposed by Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in which Israel should support the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) against Turkey. Until now, this was one of the most dramatic events in the war of words between former allies Israel and Turkey, surpassed only by the clear declarations of Turkey and Lebanon that the new gas fields in the Eastern Mediterranean are casus belli if Israel will exploit them. It would be easy to dismiss Lieberman’s words as a weather balloon aimed at checking out Turkey’s reaction, or an attempt to divert Turkey’s attention from the Mediterranean front to its Kurdistan’s backyard.

Turkish-Israeli battle over Cyprus pipeline

The government of the Republic of Cyprus plans to protest any exploratory drilling for oil and gas in the Turkish-occupied northern part of the politically divided island.

“We are investigating the issue, and have already brought it to the attention of the UN representation in Cyprus,” said Cyprus’ Foreign Minister Erato Kozakou Markouli.

Supported by Turkey’s government, Turkish Cypriots are due to carry out drilling in the Famagusta region in eastern Cyprus, Markouli told local media.

“If our intelligence is verified, then we’re dealing with a very serious issue—ancient Enkomi is one of the most important archaeological sites in Cyprus,” Markouli said, referring to an area of Famagusta.

RON PAUL AND THE CULT OF DEATH

As our roads crumble, and our schools close, and our quality of life collapses, still the attention of the nation's leaders remains focused on war and killing. They love it, They are entranced by it. The glory in it. Death excites them, and the more horrible it is, the more orgasmic they are to contemplate it! No amount of other people's money is too great to spend, No number of other people's children too many to sacrifice. There is nothing but greed in our leaders' domestic policy; their hearts are in their weapons! Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Somalia; on and on and on, without pause, without satiation! In their minds they are gods incarnate, able to bring death to whole cities with the flick of a finger.

Mass grave of 3,000 Muslims killed by pro Israel Turk Generals found

The chairman of Turkey's Human Rights Association says that there are at least 3,000 bodies buried in mass graves in the country and most have not been excavated yet, Press TV reports. In light of the enormity of the issue, a center should be established to excavate remains from the graves, based on international regulations and standards, so that clues that could help identify the victims and those responsible for the killings will not be damaged, Ozturk Turkdogan told Press TV on Tuesday.

Iran planning attacks on U.S. targets in Turkey

Webmaster's Commentary:

"And Iran will tear the tags off of their seat cushions, and the wings off of butterflies! Iran will be cruel to animals. Iran will illegally copy old TV shows! Iran smells bad and dresses funny!"

(ahem)

Obviously Israel is not happy that the EU yanked the rug out from under the sanctions, which derailed the plan to provoke Iran over the Straight of Hormuz. So, Israel is trying to find some other means to trigger a war with Iran, a war that Americans children will be blown to bits trying to finish.

Turkey dropping Marmara lawsuits

Sources in the US State Department said that the Turkish attorney general has ordered that all legal proceedings against Israeli elements involved in the IDF raid on the Marmara ship in May 2010 to be halted, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Friday.

According to the sources, Turkish prosecutors were instructed to withdraw all proceedings against the elements that gave the order to take over the ship or who actively raided the vessel, an event which resulted in the deaths of nine Turkish citizens.

The State Department said that this decision is linked to US efforts to defuse tensions between Israel and Turkey. This includes attempts by Israeli envoy to Turkey David Meidan to find a formula which will allow the sides to end hostility.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this report is true, one has to wonder what caused this change of tack by the Turkish government.

Was it some kind of economic quid pro quo, on the part of the US, or a very sinister warning, on the eve of the US and Israel's impending war against Iran, that Turkey had better decide whose side they will be on in that conflict, and darn soon?!?

THE ARMENIAN HOLOCAUST AND THE CRUCIFIXION

In a strange way I found something rather amusing this morning as I was skimming through the ‘news’ on Ynet’s site. There was a report about Israel possibly recognising the Armenian holocaust as an actual event in history. There definitely is no humour involved in or connected to this very dark period of history, but what I found amusing were the reasons why the call for its recognition now, almost a century after the fact. The reasons are not out of sympathy for the Armenian nation, but because of the status of Turkish-Israeli relations. It has nothing to do with the suffering that the Armenians went through. As the report itself states; The question of what exactly happened there is irrelevant to this issue.

Turkey is ready to invade Syria

Turkey and its western allies are transferring the Libyan fighters whom they trained and armed to depose Muammar Gaddafi to Syria. Around 600 Libyan ‘volunteers’ have entered Syria. Daily Telegraph reported that secret meetings were held on Friday in Istanbul between the Turkish officials and the Syrian opposition representatives and the Libyan fighters. Large-scale infiltration of weapons from Turkey and Jordan have been going on for months to create civil-war conditions in Syria, but this is the first move to introduce ‘volunteers’.

“There are vulnerabilities attached to this, especially a relatively high current account deficit,” he said, adding that inflation, which is high as well and a controllable amount of volatility in terms of foreign exchange.

Threatening letter to Obama on chilling Turkey is signed by 7 Jewish House members, says Peace Now

Here is evidence of the degree to which Zionism has captured American Jewish life. The Washington Post reports that Congresspeople Shelly Berkley and Eliot Engel are trying to block arms sales to Turkey because it is making trouble for Israel. Berkley and Engel are both Zionists (Engel goes to AIPAC and speaks about Jews' rights to the West Bank.)

Peace Now reports on the effort and points out that 7 "senior House members" opposing Turkey are Jewish. Many of these Congresspeople are liberals:
