Israel-Turkey ties will not normalise unless Gaza assault stops

Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday ties with Israel would not return to normal unless it ceased its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip.

"You will first stop this oppression. If not, it is not possible to realise normalization between Turkey and Israel," Erdogan said in the central Anatolian city of Yozgat after a dinner breaking the daily Ramadan fast.

Get Israel out of the West Bank

So are the people advocating firing rockets in Gaza the same type of ditzy lefties and/or Israeli stooges as the ones in the US Congress ?

To the best of my knowledge, none of the many rockets fired into Israel from Gaza have ever hit a military or police target. Most of them fail, are intercepted, or hit open desert. The few that do hit something hit civilian homes and buildings, doing minimal damage. Casualties inflicted are also few.

What they DO accomplish is to give Israel a minimal pretext which the Israelis greatly exaggerate to “justify” their attacks on Gaza and to solicit funds from the United States.

Jewish Hate of Arabs Proves: Israel Must Undergo Cultural Revolution

Without a revolution based on humanist values, the Jewish tribe will not be worthy of its own state.

There are no words to describe the horror allegedly done by six Jews to Mohammed Abu Khdeir of Shoafat. Although a gag order bars publication of details of the terrible murder and the identities of its alleged perpetrators, the account of Abu Khdeir’s family — according to which the boy was burned alive — would horrify any mortal. Anyone who is not satisfied with this description, can view the horror movie in which members of Israel’s Border Police are seen brutally beating Tariq Abu Khdeir, the murder victim’s 15-year-old cousin.

ISIL-ISIS and It’s So Called Caliphate: Israeli-US Tools to Divide Iraq

The following GRTV documentary looks at the crisis in Iraq, which is being used to divide Iraq, and examines the support that the US and Israel are providing for the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and its so-called self-declared caliphate. The documentary also looks at how the crisis in Iraq is tied to the long war of the US aimed at controlling at Eurasia. It also looks at the past analyses of Michel Chossudovsky and the video’s producer, Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya, about this long war.

Turkmenistan’s gas will flow to Europe via Turkey

In an effort to reduce dependency on Russian natural gas and position itself as a key player amid rising European energy demands, Turkey recently agreed to increase its energy co-operation with Turkmenistan.

After a meeting last month in Ankara between President Abdullah Gul and his Turkmen counterpart Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, Gul told reporters that Turkey is determined to deliver Turkmen gas to European markets.

While details of the agreement are unclear, the addition of Turkmen gas flowing through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) is expected to benefit Turkey, which currently obtains about 60 percent of its natural gas from Russia. The TANAP pipeline is under construction and is scheduled to be operational by 2018.

Turkey Ready To Accept Kurdish State in Northern Iraq

Turkey’s ruling party has indicated that it is ready to accept an independent Kurdish state in what is currently northern Iraq following the charge of Islamist militants through the country’s northern regions.

“In the past an independent Kurdish state was a reason for war [for Turkey] but no one has the right to say this now,” Huseyin Celik, a spokesman for the ruling AK party, told the Financial Times.

“In Turkey, even the word ‘Kurdistan’ makes people nervous, but their name is Kurdistan,” he added.

“If Iraq is divided and it is inevitable, they are our brothers .?.?. Unfortunately, the situation in Iraq is not good and it looks like it is going to be divided.”

A Kurdish state is viewed in Ankara as a possible buffer against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) which has shown the threat the group poses to regional security following the capture of Mosul and Saddam Hussein’s hometown of Tikrit.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Kurdistan has come very close to declaring its independence from Iraq.

On Monday, 23 June, as reported at http://amanpour.blogs.cnn.com:

"Iraqi Kurdish President Massoud Barzani gave his strongest-ever indication on Monday that his region would seek formal independence from the rest of Iraq.

“Iraq is obviously falling apart,” he told CNN's Christiane Amanpour in an exclusive interview. “And it’s obvious that the federal or central government has lost control over everything. Everything is collapsing – the army, the troops, the police.”

“We did not cause the collapse of Iraq. It is others who did. And we cannot remain hostages for the unknown,” he said through an interpreter.

“The time is here for the Kurdistan people to determine their future and the decision of the people is what we are going to uphold.”

IF Turkey and Israel have already factored this strong probability into their calculus on the region, you can bet that this is going to happen sooner rather than later, and there is absolutely nothing the US can do to stop it.

France warns citizens: Don’t invest in Israeli settlements, Golan Heights

The French government issued a warning to its citizens not to engage in financial activity or investments in the Israeli settlements in the West Bank, East Jerusalem or the Golan Heights. The French Foreign Ministry wrote in its warning that the settlements are illegal according to international law, and so doing business with them involves legal risks.

A French diplomat said that the warning is part of a joint act by the five largest countries in the European Union — Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain.

The Hounds of War: a Dedication to Our Leaders

An Age of Fools offers a record of the first decade of the 21st century as the newly appointed administration of George W. Bush entered the White House and inaugurated a decade of deceit and destruction that catapulted the United States into a totalitarian dictatorship that ravaged the world at will.

Each morning we wake to the rabid wail of old defeated warriors, now no longer in halls of power, who prowl the studios of our infotainment industry and the commercial temples of our ministers of war to yelp and whine one last time before they succumb to the inevitable: a feast for maggots.

Triangulation: Israel-Turkey-Kurdish Oil Deal Points to Possible Alliance

The reports about the selling of Kurdish oil to Israel via Turkey open new vistas for triangular economic relations between Israel, Turkey, and the Kurds. It may also pave the way to improved political relations between Israel and Turkey. In the 1960s there existed a discreet peripheral alliance between Israel, Iran, and the Kurds. That alliance, to which the United States was a quiet partner for a short time, was aimed at, among other things, supporting the Kurds in their fight against the government in Baghdad. However, the main flaws of this alliance were its secretiveness, which made it in a way unbinding, and the fact that it was solely militarily oriented. A similar alliance can be forged now between Israel, Turkey, and the Kurds, but unlike the earlier one, it should be open and based on joint economic interests, which might guarantee its longevity.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, at this point, Iraq has been, effectively, balkanized, between the rise of ISIS, which is just on the border of Baghdad as I type this, the Russian military intervention here, and the ascent of Kurdistan.

For all the blood and money spent, the US has, effectively, lost control of Iraq, both militarily and monetarily.

Has the pathological inability to think things through to their logical conclusion become a prerequisite to serving in the American government?!?

Because in looking at the current epic fails of both American domestic and foreign policies, the short answer has to be, HELL, YES!!

The Iraq Cash Cow: Part I

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has refused to accept a salvation government as his army continues to conduct mop-up operations against ISIL Takfiri militants. Press TV reports that ISIL forces were trained at secret CIA camps inside Jordan. ISIL uses US and Saudi-supplied weapons.

As Republican war hawks call for yet more blood and treasure to be spilled on the sands of Mesopotamia, oil prices spike and military-industrial overlords prepare to milk the US Treasury for yet more contracts.

War is business and business is good. For the banksters, permanent war has been the antidote to a deflationary death spire and the jail time that would surely follow.

Israel strikes 9 military targets in Syria

It was not clear who exactly fired the anti-tank missile that hit the Israeli border from an area contested by the Syrian army and the rebels.

The strikes on targets in Golan Heights were carried out shortly after midnight, Haaretz reports citing an IDF official, who called it a direct response to Sunday’s deadly incident when an anti-tank projectile fired from Syrian territory struck near the border fence on the Israeli occupied Golan Heights.

Cui Bono ??

Netanyahu Endorses ISIS Invasion of Iraq

The current conflict, while regional, has the ability to spill over borders and adversely effect nations outside of the Middle East, most obviously through a disruption of oil supplies transiting the Persian Gulf. The effect on the world economy would be catastrophic and would undoubtedly precipitate a world war.

Netanyahu told the United States to stay out of the fight currently developing in Iraq and allow both sides to annihilate each other. “Don’t strengthen either of them. Weaken both,” he advised.

Splitting up Iraq….. It’s all for Israel

The only reason to dissolve Iraq, is Israel. Israel does not want a unified Iraq. Israel does not want an Iraq that can stand on its own two feet. Israel wants to make sure that Iraq never remerges as a regional power. And there’s only one way to achieve that goal, that is, to follow Yinon’s prescription of “breaking up Iraq …along ethnic/religious lines …so, three (or more) states will exist around the three major cities: Basra, Baghdad and Mosul.”

Burn, Men in Black, burn

For the Empire of Chaos, ISIS is the agent provocateur that fell from (Allah’s?) Heaven; the perfect ski mask-clad tool to keep the Global War on Terror (GWOT) in Enduring Freedom Forever mode.

Let’s cut to the chase. As in chasing that Zara outdoor summer collection, complete with state of the art assault rifles, brand new white Nike sneakers and brand new, unlimited mileage white Toyotas crossing the Syrian-Iraqi desert; the Badass Jihadis in Black.

We interrupt this desert catwalk to announce they will NOT invade Baghdad. On the other hand, they are busy accelerating the balkanization – and eventual partition – of both Syria and Iraq. They are NOT a CIA brainchild (how come Langley never thought about it?); they are in fact the bastard children of (disgraced) Bandar Bush’s credit card largesse.

Will ISIS Create al-Sham Caliphate & Liberate Palestine?

ISIS appears uniformly contemptuous of the Zionist regime and its army and also appears eager to fight them in the near future despite expectation that the regime will use nuclear weapons.

“Do you think that we do not have access to nuclear devises? The Zionists know that we do and if we ever believe they are about to use theirs we will not hesitate. After the Zionists are gone, Palestine will have to be decontaminated and rebuilt just like areas where there has been radiation released.”

IRAQ, ISIS, AND INTERVENTION: JUST WHAT IS GOING ON?

ISIS is a perfect mechanism for two American goals, the first being to assist in the disposal of Maliki, something which would make Israel very happy because it would cut the Iran connection. Second, ISIS can be used as an excuse for American intervention by air attacks into Syria, perhaps even the insertion of limited ground forces there. Assad and the Syrian army have foiled the elaborate secret effort to topple him.

White House: ISIS Airstrikes Won't be Confined to Iraq

What can I say! Major Brain Disorder! Syria through the back door.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest confirmed that when the Obama Administration begins to launch air strikes against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), they won’t actually be confined to Iraq.

Other officials had indicated President Obama wouldn’t hesitate to launch strikes in Syria, but Earnest’s comments suggest the whole world is the battlefield once again and that President Obama might conceivably strike anywhere he wants.

Earnest also ducked questions about needing Congressional authorization for such strikes beyond Iraq, insisting that the President had long attacked other countries without it being a big deal.

Water Wars: Ankara suspends pumping Euphrates’ water, cutting off the water supply to Syria and Iraq

The Turkish government recently cut off the flow of the Euphrates River, threatening primarily Syria but also Iraq with a major water crisis. Al-Akhbar found out that the water level in Lake Assad has dropped by about six meters, leaving millions of Syrians without drinking water.

Two weeks ago, the Turkish government once again intervened in the Syrian crisis. This time was different from anything it had attempted before and the repercussions of which may bring unprecedented catastrophes onto both Iraq and Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The deprivation of clean, potable water should be considered a war crime.

I have to wonder if this move wasn't "suggested" to the Turkish government by the US government, and timed to create added misery, right before the Syrian elections where Al-Assad is positioned to be re-elected in a landslide.
