The House bill basically provides Israel with a blank check drawn on the U.S. taxpayer to maintain its “qualitative military edge” over all of its neighbors combined. t requires the White House to prepare an annual report on how that superiority is being maintained. The resolution passed on May 9 by a vote of 411–2 on a “suspension of the rules,” which is intended for non-controversial legislation requiring little debate and a quick vote.

The Finance Ministry is urgently looking into alternative scenarios of how to maintain its weak cash reserves if the revenue inflows outlook deteriorates.

The only apparently safe option is to cut or suspend certain expenses. The total in June is projected at 5 billion euros, of which 4 billion is expected to flow in from the International Monetary Fund and the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF).

Property taxes are an insidious form of taxation. They mean you never really own your home. Taxes even go up at the whim of local school boards and teachers unions who perpetually want more money, not for the kids, but for the school boards and teachers' unions.

Property taxes are particularly hard on senior citizens who can literally be taxed out of their own homes.

AMARILLO, Texas (CN) - A teenager says in Federal Court that he was seriously injured when he was required to role-play as a Jew while taking orders from students in the role of Nazis during an educational exercise about the Holocaust.

"Engaging in this exercise was compulsory, with it constituting 60% of a major test grade for students in their World History Class, and any student who did not do everything they were told were receive a failing grade."

Yara said he was forced to carry three different students to class during the span of one passing period, resulting in severe back injuries that required several medical procedures.
One student who demanded Yara carry him was 170 pounds, while Yara weighed 100 pounds at the time. Another classmate later jumped onto Yara's back while he was still carrying the other student, resulting in a "shocking, burning" pain to shoot down both of Yara's legs from his pelvis, according to the complaint.

According to Black's Law Dictionary, the word license is defined as - "Permission by competent authority to do an act which without such permission, would be illegal."

In other words, the government makes something that was lawful to do, illegal. They then charge you a fee (which is a bribe) to turn their backs and give you a permit that allows you to break the law that they just said was illegal to do!

By now many have seen some iteration of various GDP to sovereign debt charts but how many have seen this sovereign debt to government revenues chart?

France’s unemployment rate has risen to 10 percent, with millions of French citizens looking for work as Europe’s economic crisis shows no sign of letting up.

Most of the money Greece used to pay in full a 436-million-euro foreign law bond on Tuesday went to a vulture fund, the New York Times has reported.

“Almost 90 percent was delivered to the coffers of Dart Management, a secretive investment fund based in the Cayman Islands, according to people with direct knowledge of the transaction,” the newspaper said.

“Dart is one of the best known of the so-called vulture funds, which have a track record of buying the distressed bonds of nearly bankrupt countries — and if they do not get paid, suing the governments for the money.”

The bank runs that we are watching right now in Greece are shocking, but they are only just the beginning. Since May 6th, nearly one billion dollars has been withdrawn from Greek banks. For a small nation like Greece, that is an absolutely catastrophic number. At this point, the entire Greek banking system is in danger of collapsing.Meanwhile, banks in other troubled European nations are already on shaky ground. The Spanish banking system is an absolute disaster zone at this point and on Monday night Moody's downgraded the credit ratings of 26 Italian banks.

The situation in Italy is especially worth keeping a close eye on. As Ambrose Evans-Pritchard recently noted, things are not looking good for Italy at all....

Gold touched a 4-1/2-month low as the euro's weakness unnerved investors over the profitability of holding euro-denominated assets.

Unlike California, New Jersey has been praised for being a bastion of fiscal stability. Guess not!

Add New Jersey to the ugly economic performance in Wisconsin, and suddenly a lot of the GOP's favorite governors aren't doing so hot.

On average IRS and other tax collectors steal 3.5 months of each Americans’ labor time each year, or one-third of earned income. Of course, many Americans pay much higher tax rates, with a top individual Federal tax bracket of 35%.

A country that is hopelessly enslaved by Jewish money and Jewish power, is not free to report the truth.

America needs to produce politicians who are more honest and less fearful of the wrath of the Jewish lobby (AIPAC).

Why does the state of California seem to be so incredibly hopeless? These days California can't seem to do anything right, and if you live in California things just got a whole lot worse.

Governor Brown has announced that the state budget deficit for this year is going to be much larger than projected, that more government services are going to be cut, and that voters are going to vote on another round of tax increases in November. Meanwhile, unemployment is sitting at 11 percent and extended federal unemployment benefits for workers in the state are ending...

In terms of economic practice, this meant promoting the interests of successful businessmen while destroying trade unions and other organizations of the working class. Historian Gaetano Salvemini argued in 1936 that fascism makes taxpayers responsible to private enterprise, because "the State pays for the blunders of private enterprise... Profit is private and individual. Loss is public and social." Fascist governments encouraged the pursuit of private profit and offered many benefits to large businesses, but they demanded in return that all economic activity should serve the national interest.

California deficit grows to $16 billion, Gov. Jerry Brown says

SACRAMENTO — California's projected budget deficit has ballooned to $16 billion, much larger than the $9.2 billion estimated in January, Gov. Jerry Brown said, and he warned of more painful spending cuts.

"We will have to go much further, and make cuts far greater, than I asked for at the beginning of the year," Brown said in a video posted Saturday on YouTube. He plans to detail his revised spending plan in the Capitol on Monday.

What is the IMF?

The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank were created in 1944 at a conference in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, and are now based in Washington, DC

The IMF now acts like a global loan shark, exerting enormous leverage over the economies of more than 60 countries. These countries have to follow the IMF's policies to get loans, international assistance, and even debt relief. Thus, the IMF decides how much debtor countries can spend on education, health care, and environmental protection. The IMF is one of the most powerful institutions on Earth -- yet few know how it works.

And there was about 50 Greek people here and there was a fascinating noise. And they kept going back to a very interesting point – we are in Third World War and it’s an economic war and the weapon is debt.

If you look at Iceland – now they are something that is quite inspiring in a sense that they absolutely ignored what they have been told to do. They didn’t go for being bailed out in any way. In fact at the moment they are crowdsourcing their constitution themselves. They dispense with all the leaders they believe to be corrupt and they were banging their saucepans just like in Argentina until they have a leader they believed in. And they are going much further. They are now actually chasing and wanting to bring to court those bankers that brought the country to debt in the first place. So they are taking control themselves and they are doing right.

Top EU officials have decreed Greece should leave the eurozone if unable to stick to the austerity measures imposed by European creditors. The political crisis in Athens is making this scenario not altogether impossible.On Thursday the head of Greece's second-placed Radical Left Coalition addressed the EU’s top officials, calling on them to re-examine the strict austerity program Greece is going through. The letter was addressed to EU President Herman Van Rompuy, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and European Central Bank chief Mario Draghi.

In his letter Alexis Tsipras wrote that the election on May 6 had exposed a strong anti-austerity mood among the Greek population. As a result, the new Greek parliament proved unable to form a working government. All this has stripped Greece's bailout commitments of “political legitimacy.”

Across the dominion of the corporate-financiers on Wall Street and in the city of London, the reckless Ponzi schemes destroying the West's economy and plunging it into an economic depression have left politicians, the bought-and-paid-for servants of corporate-financier hegemony, wringing the public dry to cover losses. In reality, when an enterprise fails because of criminality, incompetence or both, citizens should not be forced to pass the hat around to "bail them out."

They are declared bankrupt, their assets (if they have any) are stripped, often if fraud is involved, executives and board members go to jail, and society attempts to fill the void with sounder enterprises run by more reputable people...

But beyond those particular worries, and perhaps more important than any of them, is the sense that from here on, anything goes. The politicians will do whatever they find expedient, because there is no longer anything to stop them — not an electorate that is jealous of its freedoms and certainly not the Constitution, which is now just a playhouse for judicial imagineering. No one can know what’s coming next from the government and the financial system it has fostered, but for many of us there is an awful suspicion that we are not going to like it.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The ailing U.S. Postal Service is reporting quarterly losses of $3.2 billion, brought on by declining mail volume and mounting costs for future retiree health benefits.

From January to March, losses were $1 billion more than during the same period in 2010.

Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe says the mail agency is incurring significant losses because Congress has failed to pass legislation allowing it to eliminate Saturday mail delivery and reduce health and other labor costs.

CBS is reporting that Senate Bill 1813 that would "suspend passport rights for delinquent taxpayers" passed the Senate 74-22 on March 14th.

A bill authored by a Southland lawmaker that could potentially allow the federal government to prevent any Americans who owe back taxes from traveling outside the U.S. is one step closer to becoming law.

...The 'Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act' or 'MAP-21' includes a provision that would allow for the 'revocation or denial' of a passport for anyone with 'certain unpaid taxes' or 'tax delinquencies'.

Mitt Romney Declines To Enroll In Medicare So He Can Destroy It

Monday was Mitt Romney's 65th birthday. Happy birthday, Mittens. In honor of his 65th birthday he announced that he would not be enrolling in Social Security or Medicare. How noble. Except, it's not.

In deference to the conservative dogs nipping his heels, Romney has endorsed the Paul Ryan Medicare plan which would voucherize Medicare and leave senior citizens floundering on their own with private insurance companies. Of course, if you asked Mitt Romney about it, what you'd get is a bunch of lies. Really awful, cynical, blatant lies.
