Ted Cruz’s frightening gun fanaticism: When a presidential contender encourages armed insurrection

This view of gun rights that casts personal firearm ownership as a check on the abuses of government doesn’t make a great deal of practical sense, and it betrays a lack of faith in our democratic institutions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The loss of faith in the institutions of government is the government's own doing. Lies about Saddam's nuclear weapons, lies about torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin, lies about human-caused global warming, lies about the true scale of unemployment, in sort, decades of lies about pretty much everything have taught the American people a bitter lesson that this government cannot and should not be trusted.

Capitalism has failed and in the process, decayed into fascism, as many world leaders predicted would be the case. history shows us what fascist governments do to their own people to perpetuate their own power and wealth. The Founding Fathers remembered that, which is why we have the Second Amendment.

As for the practical side, let me share a quote from Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn's "The Gulag Archipelago"

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more - we had no awareness of the real situation... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward."

The Hospital Told Him His Son Was Brain Dead, but He Didn’t Believe It. That’s When He Grabbed His Gun and Witnessed a ‘Miracle.’

With a 9mm handgun in his waistband, George Pickering, 59, said he went into his son’s room at Tomball Regional Medical Center’s intensive care unit on Jan. 10 and was informed that the life support keeping him alive could soon be removed. The tragic news set Pickering off. He pulled out his handgun and ordered everyone to get out of the room because, the dad explained to TheBlaze, it was his time to be with his son.

After four tense hours, Pickering surrendered to police peacefully, believing he had done enough to prove that his son should be kept alive. Prior to the incident, he reported being disturbed by hospital staff’s hasty discussions about harvesting his 27-year-old son’s organs. He said he did not have the medical power of attorney over his son.

Later that night, his son woke up.

Wal-Mart wins gun-sales case against investors who want to bar such purchases

An appeals court ruled Tuesday that Wal-Mart investors don’t have a right to try to stop the company from selling rifles or any other product those shareholders may think is socially destructive.

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled for the Arkansas-based retailer, reversing a district court ruling in November that would have let the company’s investors influence the store’s policy on high-capacity sporting-rifle sales.

Look How Far Bloomberg Is Taking the Propaganda Against Kroger Grocery Stores for Not Banning Guns

You've got to watch this new anti-gun, anti-Kroger ad.

This propaganda is part of these groups’ first ever six-figure ad campaign. SIX figures to get Kroger to stop allowing people to open carry in its stores. When Kroger did not respond to the ads the way the lobbies wanted Kroger to, the groups rallied outside Kroger corporate headquarters. They have also launched a website for people to enter grocery amounts spent at competitors to prove to Kroger that its pro-gun stance is losing money.

Let’s stop for a second and think about this rationally (in a way not driven by billionaires who use their money to buy millions in propaganda to disarm the population): how many stories come out in the news about mass shootings at a Kroger grocery store anyway? And because of lawful gun owners?

Candidates Trade Talk of Guns for Attacks on Clinton at N.R.A. Forum

Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin was perhaps the most aggressive, followed closely by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, as they both criticized Mr. Obama’s relationship with Israel and his reluctance to say “radical Islamic is terrorism.” Senator Marco Rubio called Mr. Obama “a weak president,” after declaring, “weakness is the enemy of peace.” Jeb Bush argued that the negotiations with Iran were a “bad deal” that was “leaving America exposed.”

Some went even further. Mike Huckabee spent a large part of his speech talking about his trips to Israel and recalling the horrors of the Holocaust, and Donald Trump said the Islamic State is controlling oil.

The news of Ms. Clinton’s announcement that she will run for president put her in the cross hairs as well.

Rick Bailey, 56, is a disabled retired software-systems engineer who has slowly accrued a collection of 28 firearms, with an estimated worth of about $25,000. The collection was seized after a neighbor claimed Bailey threatened to shoot him, an accusation Bailey calls “bullsh-t.”

The dispute between the neighbors started several months ago regarding dump trucks used in a landscaping business. Bailey said his neighbor would park two “large, smelly” dump trucks in the small cul-de-sac where they reside.

Eventually, Bailey filed a complaint with the city to remove the dump trucks and other work-related vehicles from the private residential area. Although initially the neighbor complied, Bailey said he would sometimes bring the dump trucks back on weekends when the city was closed, “just to irritate us.”

Decrease More Than Expected Weekly Claims For Unemployment Benefits In The US

Fewer people applied for weekly unemployment benefits last week, demonstrating that companies are still hiring staff despite signs of slower economic growth in early 2015.

The Labor Department reported Thursday that the submission of applications fell by 9,000 to settle at 282,000, and applied the seasonal adjustment. The decline suggests a slowdown in manufacturing, home construction and retail sales have not affected the labor market, a possible indication that economic growth will resume after a harsh winter.

The Right To Keep And Bear Arms - Student Essay

By Anonymous 14-yr old writing her essay for 8th grade English class

... It is clear, then, that all Americans have the right to defend themselves. Guns are the most reliable means of defense, and give citizens the ability to protect themselves from violent attackers and fight back without a chance of getting hurt. All anti-gun laws do is take away the protection of citizens by disarming them, putting them in danger. As President Barack Obama said, "No single law, no set of laws can eliminate evil from the world or prevent every senseless act of violence in our society." Therefore, society is safer when people carry guns because it gives citizens the ability to protect themselves from violent attacks.

Prisoners in Iraq.

US should make public the pictures showing abuse of detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan, as determined by a judge after a long legal battle over whether to allow the world to see possibly disturbing images of how the military treated their prisoners.

The verdict of the US District Judge Alvin Hellerstein given two months to the government, which spent a decade fighting to prevent publication, to decide whether to appeal before they can spread the images. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU, for its acronym in English) has long been trying to make public in order that the government take responsibility.

2nd Amendment Watch: Four States Are Close to Passing Legislation to Allow Constitutional Carry

Second Amendment supporters use the term constitutional carry when referring to the right to carry handguns without the requirement of a government permit. The phrase reflects the view that the Constitution is the law of the land, therefore states do not have the right to pass laws that violate the natural rights protected by the Constitution, and in this case the Second Amendment.

Currently, five states require no permit whatsoever for concealed carry of a handgun in public. The five states, which will be referred to as the Fab Five henceforth in this article, are Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Wyoming and Vermont. Vermont has never had a requirement in place necessitating a permit to carry a concealed handgun. The other four states have gone permit-free in the last twelve years. Arkansas was the most recent state to make the move in 2013, preceded by Wyoming in 2011, Arizona in 2010, and Alaska in 2003.

Hawaii mouints attack on Second Amendment

The dangerous threat to the Second Amendment that he's been warning you about has made its way to Hawaii!

In 2012 you may remember that 7 members of the Hawaii Legislature went on record--demanding a Constitutional Convention to repeal the Second Amendment.

This year at least four separate pieces of legislation in Honolulu aim to open up the U.S. Constitution -- and ALL of your cherished rights and freedoms it contains -- for the political class to whack away at.

They are HCR56, HCR36, HCR53, and SB293.

Unsurprisingly, the proposals put forth in HCR56, HCR36, HCR53, and SB293 largely deal with REPEALING or limiting your First Amendment rights too.

Once this Pandora's box is opened, it cannot be shut.

First Amendment, Second Amendment, Fourth Amendment -- the right to due process -- all of it, could be gutted.

A leftist news outlet claims that Second Amendment activists are supporting rape by advocating concealed carry on college campuses.

On Tuesday, Raw Story said the push to legalize campus carry by pro-gun activists is “sheer assh*lery on many levels” and is also a “subtle form of rape denialism,” whatever that means.

“…These laws are functionally more pro-rape than anti-rape,” Raw Story’s Amanda Marcotte wrote. “After all, most campus rapists haven’t been convicted — duh — so it’s perfectly legal for them to own guns.”

“And, unlike victims, they are planning for the rapes to happen and so can plan to have access to a gun when they corner their victims.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think allowing women to carry conceal and the potential rapists KNOWING that some of their victims might be armed (without knowing which ones) will probably result in a decrease of rapes, and the history of crime rates in conceal carry areas supports this. But for the gun-grabbers, and twisted logic to support their agenda is acceptable, even if some of it gets as silly as the global warming people insisting that a hotter Earth is why we are getting record-setting winters!

Realtor feared the worst

This was my neighbor. He was a well liked man who had very little. A couple of beloved dogs a truck and his home. The Bank,The Wasco County Sheriff's department and the Oregon State Police took it all from him.
I don't believe much of the story that has come out. They did a 24 hour autopsy and declared him a suicide because he could have come out. Bull! They had him surrounded with machine guns a robot and an armored vehicle. They shot the house full of incendiary teargas. That's when the place went up. They say he shot one of his dogs but one dog was found near him him unshot. The other dog was found near the front door where the police tried to enter. They haven't produced a gun either. The whole thing stinks!

As soon as the bank told Dee Ashley last Friday that she had to give an eviction notice Monday to a man she’d seen declining for months, she had a gut feeling it would end badly.
