Anti-Islam Ads Will Soon Be Plastered On New York City Buses

The ads, which make heavy use of shocking pictures and bold text, attempt to frame Islam as a violent religion that radicalizes its followers. One of the more unsettling ads features the now-iconic image of American journalist James Foley, who was recently beheaded by ISIS militants, kneeling next to his executioner. The picture is placed alongside more benign image of a man rapping into a microphone with the caption “executioner who beheaded reporter before he became a jihadist.” Both images sit underneath the title “Yesterday’s moderate is today’s headline.”

Note: What a shame to see Jewish people condemning their sisters and brothers of the judeo-islamic faith.

Widespread Catholic Priest Sexual Abuse Of Canadian Eskimo Children Results In Another Priest Being Found Guilty Of Sex Abuse

The press reported late last week that former Roman Catholic priest and Oblate missionary Eric Dejaeger has been convicted on 24 of 80 sex-related charges involving Inuit children from the remote community of Igloolik in the Territory of Nunavut.

The sexual abuse Dejaeger was charged with reportedly took place in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The majority of those who say they were abused by Dejaeger were, at the time, boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 12.

That’s an interesting interpretation of the Last Supper

Let us pose then this question: How does a man give of his flesh to eat and of his blood to drink without cutting himself or rending his limbs, without injuring himself, without damaging the integrity of his body?

This problem brings a solution and brings only one solution. We have no choice. We are obliged to take that which science furnishes us with: the procreative semen is a comestible material, semi-solid, semi-liquid, which therefore can be eaten or drunk; it is at once the flesh and the blood of the man who provides it, because in it is found the germ of his possible descendance, which is the flesh of his flesh and the fruit of his blood. It is therefore under the auspices of sperm that the flesh of Jesus Christ was able truly to be a nourishment and his blood a beverage.

Rabbi who runs Orthodox seminaries in Israel sued for sexual assault

Rabbi Elimelech Meisels, who runs four religious seminaries in Israel for young Orthodox women, is being sued for sexual assault and fraud.

The civil suit was filed Monday with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on behalf of four parents with daughters signed up for Meisels’ Haredi Orthodox seminaries for the 2014-2015 school year. The parents are seeking to recover their tuition deposits.

The suit alleges that Meisels would lure girls under his charge “into late night coffee meetings and other private settings and then sexually assault them.” It says he threatened to ruin girls’ marriage prospects if they told and would “intimidate his victims by telling them that no one would believe that a rabbi and author with his reputation would have done such a thing.”

Yale chaplain quits in wake of letter blaming Israel for rising anti-Semitism

The Rev. Bruce Shipman, an Episcopal chaplain at Yale University, resigned in the wake of his letter to The New York Times that blamed rising anti-Semitism in Europe on Israel.

The Episcopal Church at Yale issued a statement on Sept. 4 announcing that Shipman, “on his own initiative, had resigned as Priest-in-Charge of the Episcopal Church at Yale, effective immediately.”

The statement does not reference the letter to the Times, saying instead, “It is our belief that the dynamics between the Board of Governors and the Priest-in-Charge occasioned the resignation of the Rev. Shipman.”

“The Episcopal Church at Yale, its Board of Governors, the Bishops of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, and the Rev. Bruce Shipman are all committed to a civil dialogue on difficult issues that divide peoples of this world and pledge ourselves to the prayerful and humble work of reconciliation and peace in our hurting and divided world,” the statement concludes.

Religious Test

The original, unamended Constitution contains one explicit reference to religion: the Article VI ban on religious tests for "any office or public trust under the United States." Despite much litigation over the constitutional border between church and state, there have been no judicial decisions involving the religious test ban. The clause has been entirely self-executing. We do not know whether the Framers intended the clause to apply to every federal officeholder, howsoever minor; but no federal official has ever been subjected to a formal religious test for holding office.

Sep 01 07:47

“But is it Good for the Jews?” An Analysis by Lawrence Davidson

Can we assume that Zionism and Israel are good for the Jews? The answer is no, we cannot. Zionism failed the Jews by insisting on an Israel for one group alone. That insistence has inevitably led to racism, discrimination and ethnic cleansing. These are not practices that have characterized modern Jewry and so it is simply wrong to equate Zionism with Judaism and insist that Israel stands in for the world’s Jews. The more Jews who understand this, and begin to publicly distance themselves from both Zionism and Israel, the better, for they can safely assume both are bad for the Jews.

Revered Rabbi Preaches “Slaughter” of Gentile Babies

Nazareth: A rabbi from one of the most violent settlements in the West Bank was questioned on suspicion of incitement last week as Israeli police stepped up their investigation into a book in which he sanctions the killing of non-Jews, including children and babies.

Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira is one of the leading ideologues of the most extreme wing of the religious settler movement. He is known to be a champion of the “price-tag” policy of reprisal attacks on Palestinians, including punishing them for attempts by officials to enforce Israeli law against the settlements.

So far the policy has chiefly involved violent harassment of Palestinians, with settlers inflicting beatings, attacking homes, throwing stones, burning fields, killing livestock and poisoning wells.

It is feared, however, that Shapira’s book The King’s Torah, published last year, is intended to offer ideological justifications for widening the scope of such attacks to include killing Palestinians, even children.

The Zionist-CreatedScofield 'Bible'

World Zionist leaders initiated a program to change America and its religious orientation. One of the tools used to accomplish this goal was an obscure and malleable Civil War veteran named Cyrus I. Schofield. A much larger tool was a venerable, world respected European book publisher--The Oxford University Press.

The scheme was to alter the Christian view of Zionism by creating and promoting a pro-Zionist subculture within Christianity. Scofield's role was to re-write the King James Version of the Bible by inserting Zionist-friendly notes in the margins, between verses and chapters, and on the bottoms of the pages. The Oxford University Press used Scofield, a pastor by then, as the Editor, probably because it needed such as man for a front. The revised bible was called the Scofield Reference Bible, and with limitless advertising and promotion, it became a best-selling "bible" in America and has remained so for 90 years.

The zionists have successfully bamboozled American Christians into unquestioning support of the state of Israel by exploiting the myth of the "End Times." But most of the "End Times" mythology doesn't exist in the actual source texts of the Bible. To accomplish their goal, the Zionists needed to replace the traditional bibles with one of their own crafting; the Scofield Bible. This piece of propaganda was created to allow Israel to control the minds of Christians and turn them into (as Stalin described them) "Useful idiots."

Types With Tired Fingers

I have recently had a religious epiphany. I have decided to convert to the Sun Dance faith. This is a religion practiced by many of the North American native people for thousands of years. It's easy to be a Sun Dancer; you can see the Sun! That's a definite plus compared to religions relying on that imaginary playmate in the sky.

I have long felt a kinship with my newly adopted religion and people as you can see in this photo of myself and my wife from the early 1990s.

In photos: Israeli bombs destroy historic al-Omari mosque in Jabaliya

Israeli forces bombed the historic al-Omari Mosque in the northern Gaza City of Jabaliya on Saturday morning.

The mosque, which is believed to have stood on the same site since 647 AD, was almost completely destroyed in the bombing.

The portico and minaret dated back to the medieval Mamluk period, or at least 500 years.

The mosque stood at the center of Jabaliya and was known as the “Great Mosque” by local residents.

Israel said that their forces had bombed five mosques over night, claiming that “weapons caches and Hamas command and training facilities” were concealed within them.

We spotted the remains of demolition charges in photos of the wreckage of the World Trade Towers (and those were NOT supposed to be there), so where is the evidence that these bombed schools, hospitals, and mosques were being used this way?

Church of the Nativity, April 2002

The Church of Nativity incident remains one of the most talked about acts of brutality by the Israel’s forces. The world saw a siege of the Church of Nativity on April 2, 2002 and it lasted till May 10, 2002. A group of Palestinian Arabs entered the church in Bethlehem, one of the most sacred sites for Christianity, seeking refuge from the Israeli Defense Forces. Israeli soldiers from the IDF surrounded the church and targeted Palestinians, exchanging fires and plunging into the discretion of Holy places of Christians, for which Israel is much noted for.

The first claim of a wrong move from IDF became clear from the statement of Michael Sabbah, Head of the Roman Catholic Church and the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem. He said:

"The basilica is a place of refuge for everybody, even fighters, as long as they lay down their arms. We have an obligation to give refuge to Palestinians and Israelis alike".

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel is trying to move away from the embarrassment of having falsely blamed HAMAS for the killing of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank by re-framing the current conflict as "Jews against Muslims." But you need to remember that Israel has a long history of attacking Christian holy sites, as well as blocking access to them during Christian holidays for "security reasons."

‘Mind-Blowing’ Bible Experience Answers: God Gave Israel To Jews?

So….I may get crucified for this but I have started to say it — most recently (terrified, trembling) to warm welcome in a synagogue in LA:

Actually if you read Genesis Exodus and Deuteronomy in Hebrew — as I do — you see that God did not “give” Israel to the Jews/Israelites. We as Jews are raised with the creed that “God gave us the land of Israel” in Genesis — and that ethnically ‘we are the chosen people.”

But actually — and I could not believe my eyes when I saw this, I checked my reading with major scholars and they confirmed it — actually God’s “covenant” in Genesis, exodus and Deuteronomy with the Jewish people is NOT ABOUT AN ETHNICITY AND NOT ABOUT A CONTRACT. IT IS ABOUT A WAY OF BEHAVING.

Jews Are Most-Loved Religious Group in America

The study shows that Evangelicals admire Jews and rate them highly, but this is far from being mutual, Jews, so it seems, do not love Evangelists at all. In fact they rate them as low as Muslims.

The study examined the popularity of different ‘religious groups’, however I ask myself whether the same results were repeated if the study was set to verify the popularity of the ‘Jewish people’?

Irish gov confirms 2,000 babies illegally sent to US for adoption

The Irish government has confirmed that the remains of almost 500 “unclaimed” infants were used for medical examinations and nearly 2,000 were put up for adoption in the United States.

A document released by the government also shows that the remains of 474 babies were sent to medical schools between 1940 and 1965, without the consent of their families.

The report also shows that of the nearly 2,000 children sent to the United States for adoption there are few or no records of parental consent. Many were apparently sold to wealthy Catholic families.

Church child abuse scandal: Archbishop of Canterbury Welby warns of more revelations

Disgraced vicars convicted of child sex attacks have abused their former Church titles by posing as respected members of society, victims claimed last night, after the Archbishop of Canterbury warned that new cases of abuse by clergy were likely to emerge.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Pope's claim that only 2% of clergy are sexual predators struck me as a bit low, given that the Catholic church admitted back in the 1990s that the figure was closer to 11%.

Christian Evangelicals Turning Backs on Israel

For decades, conservative evangelical Christians have been among the most fervent backers of the terroristic, rogue nuclear, apartheid Zionist occupation government in the Holy Land, known as Israel. They typically also have failed, knowingly or not, to acknowledge even basic human rights for the oppressed native Palestinians—Muslim and Christian—who face racial extinction at the hands of the region’s Jewish overlords. But that seemingly impregnable mountain of support has started to erode. A growing minority of ministers and younger believers have begun to challenge the established doctrine and practice, asserting that Zionism is contrary to God’s teaching in the Bible, and that continued persecution of Palestinians is a gross violation of fundamental morality.

Pope Alexander VI, the Pope who threw orgies in the Vatican!

"Once he became Pope Alexander VI, Vatican parties, already wild, grew wilder. They were costly, but he could afford the lifestyle of a Renaissance prince; as vice chancellor of the Roman Church, he had amassed enormous wealth. As guests approached the papal palace, they were excited by the spectacle of living statues: naked, gilded young men and women in erotic poses. Flags bore the Borgia arms, which, appropriately, portrayed a red bull rampant on a field of gold. Every fete had a theme. One, known to Romans as the Ballet of the Chestnuts, was held on October 30, 1501. The indefatigable Burchard describes it in his Diarium. After the banquet dishes had been cleared away, the city's fifty most beautiful whores danced with the guests, "first clothed, then naked." The dancing over, the "ballet" began, with the Pope and two of his children in the best seats.

New book by Tel Aviv historian uncovers "Land of Israel" myths

In the Hebrew Bible (known to Christians as the Old Testament), the geographic area roughly corresponding to the land of Palestine (between the River Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea) is mostly called the “land of Canaan.” The area “never served as a homeland for the ‘children of Israel,’ and for this reason, among others, they never refer to it as ‘the Land of Israel.’” Most Israelis, Sand argues, are not aware that the term is not found in the the Hebrew Bible “in its inclusive meaning” of a wide geographic area (86).

Later Jewish religious law “does feature the debut of the term ‘Land of Israel’?” but, Sand explains, this was a “holy land” rather than a “homeland” (102). Most Jews did not seek to live there. Philo of Alexandria, a first century Jewish philosopher, lived in Egypt — right next to Palestine. He could have moved to Jerusalem, since both regions were under Roman rule — but instead, like most people, he chose to live and die in his original homeland (96).

Special Report, FBI Killed Franklin Scandal Investigator from Wayne Madsen Report

A very knowledgeable source involved with what became known as the “Franklin Scandal” told WMR that Caradori flew to Chicago ostensibly to attend the All Star game on July 10 at Wrigley Field. In reality, the trip to the game was a cover for Caradori to meet with a source who handed him photographs that proved that Nebraskan children, some from the famed Boy’s Town orphanage, were being used for the sexual gratification of important political leaders in Washington, including Vice President and President George H W Bush.

Caradori phoned his wife and another investigator shortly before the All-Star game and told them the same thing: “I got what I came after. I got ‘em by the balls. I’ve got pictures. I will take them to the game and bring them back to Nebraska.”

Presbyterian Church (USA) Makes Controversial Divestment Move Against Israel

The largest U.S. Presbyterian church narrowly voted Friday to divest from three multinational corporations that it said supply Israel with products that promote violence in occupied Palestinian territories.

The divestment, vehemently opposed by many of the nation's prominent Jewish organizations, and hailed by many pro-Palestinian activists, passed by seven votes after hours of tense and complex debate. It means the Presbyterian Church (USA) will sell its shares of Motorola Solutions, Caterpillar and Hewlett Packard, worth about $21 million.

We Are So Not Prepared For Another Oil Shock

With the Middle East now lurching towards yet another major war, it’s easy to envision a supply disruption that sends oil back to its previous high or beyond. So the question becomes, what would that do to today’s hyper-leveraged global economy? Bad things, obviously. But before looking at them, let’s all get onto the same page with a quick explanation of why everyone seems so mad at everyone else over there:

The story begins in 570 A.D. in what is now Saudi Arabia, with the birth of a boy named Muhammad into a family of successful merchants. After having some adventures and marrying a rich widow, around the age of 40 he begins having visions and hearing voices which lead him to write a holy book called the Qur’an. More adventures follow, eventually producing a religious/political system called Islam that comes to dominate a large part of the local world.

‘Pastafarians’ fail to win official religious recognition in Austria

Pastafarianism, a movement set up partly to ridicule organised religion, has failed to win official recognition from Austria's religious authority.

The Kultusamt authority ruled Wednesday that the "Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster" was not a proper "Church" because it is not a Christian religious community.

Don't just blame the church for Tuam, everyone covered it up

My father was a teenager when "The Quiet Man" was shot. He saw some of the filming at the Ballyglunin train station, which is on the outskirts of Tuam and just over the stone fence on the family farm.

One of the earliest and fondest memories he has centers around catching shillings on the train tracks that John Wayne threw out to himself and the other star-struck local kids on the set.

There is a cruel irony that "The Quiet Man," the most beloved movie in Irish culture, would be filmed in and around Tuam, a town that kept quiet about burying babies in the backyard even while the movie was being made.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The church is trying to shift the blame onto the general population, but ignores the fact that church's hiding scandals terrify their parishioners into silence with threats of eternal damnation for ratting out the malefactors.

‘Homosexual pedophile network' operating in US Catholic Church: Pastor

A Lutheran pastor and former US Senate candidate told Press TV on Tuesday that an “entire homosexual pedophile network” is operating within the Catholic Church in the United States.

Mark Dankof, who is also political commentator in San Antonio, Texas, condemned US church officials following reports that St. Louis Archbishop Robert Carlson claimed to be uncertain that sexual abuse of a child by a priest constituted a crime when he was auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in Minnesota.

The former chancellor gave a deposition last month in a lawsuit that claims the Minnesota archdiocese and the Diocese of Winona created a public nuisance by keeping information on abusive priests secret, reported Minnesota Public Radio.

The 69-year-old Carlson also faces a massive clergy abuse lawsuit in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, where he’s served as archbishop since 2009.

Newly elected president of Southern Baptists calls homosexuality Satan’s ‘con job’

The Southern Baptist Convention this week chose a new president who has taught that homosexuality is a “con job” by Satan

At its annual convention in Baltimore this week, members of the Southern Baptist Convention elected Arkansas megachurch pastor Rev. Ronnie Floyd with 52 percent of the vote.

“It appears now that everywhere you look, everything you read and everything you hear is about the gay lifestyle,” he said. “Satan has taken his tool of homosexuality, a gross and evil sin, and done a con job on the American culture, making it seem like all is okay when you are gay.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

It unfortunately appears that a complete absence of any knowledge about science is a prerequisite for becoming the President of the Southern Baptist Convention. Of course, this is one of the few Protestant denomination which forbids women from serving as pastors, so this kind of nonsense is perfectly predictable.

Sexual orientation is a spectrum, and as much a part of our DNA as our eye or hair color.

How can logical, compassionate Christians condemn what came in the DNA?!? The short answer is, they cannot.

Hard questions for the Irish over the baby skeletons in a forgotten field

What is happening with the possible mass grave of children in Tuam?

IN THE SPACE of two weeks, the story about a mass grave at a former mother and baby home in Galway has grown from something that was just talked about locally in Tuam to a worldwide news story.

The oh-so-gradual unfolding of the story, beginning in the 1970s with the discovery of multiple skeletons, seemed to take people by surprise. After breaking in the media almost a fortnight ago, it took more than a week before any politician made a comment about it, and it was days before national mainstream outlets covered it.

Here, we look at how the story has unfolded, and all of the many, many questions that still remain.

Boys Town founder Fr. Flanagan warned Irish Church about abuse

Father Edward Flanagan, founder of “Boys Town” made famous by the Spencer Tracy movie, was a lone voice in condemning Ireland’s industrial schools back in the 1940s – and he was viciously castigated by church and government for doing so.

Fr. Flanagan, from Co. Roscommon, left Ireland in 1904 and was ordained a priest eight years later. In 1917 he was living and working in Omaha, Nebraska, when he hit upon the idea of a "boys town," which offered education and a home for the poor and wayward boys of Omaha.

However, demand for the service was so great that he soon had to find bigger premises. Boys Town, built on a farm 10 miles from Omaha, was the result.

The center was open to all. There were no fences to stop the boys from leaving. Fr. Flanagan said he was “not building a prison."

"This is a home," he said. "You do not wall in members of your own family.”

Top doctor and midwife reported dreadful conditions in [Catholic care] homes

As the anger over the treatment of unmarried mothers and babies in Tuam, County Galway where 800 babies ended up in a mass grave has increased, other unmarried mother institutions are again being examined.

The doctor who shut down the unmarried mothers home run by the Sacred Heart nuns in Bessborough, County Cork in 1951 left a vivid memoir in which he recounts how dreadful and fatal the conditions were there.

Dr. James Feeney, the health board’s Chief Medical Officer, visited Bessborough to investigate the horrific death rate in the home, where 100 out of 180 babies born there had died.

Unmarried mothers, kids, in Tuam were scorned and shunned

“You would not talk to them,” the locals told me in Tuam near Galway City this weekend, “they were outcasts.”

They were speaking to IrishCentral about the mothers and babies secreted away to The Home, an 1840’s institution run by the Bon Secours sisters in the town from 1925 to 1961, but this week locals insisted that more and more people want to remember them now.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Maybe the mothers can be faulted for yielding to their instincts in the face of religious rules designed to protect inheritances. I would question that. Adultery means married people having sex with someone other than their spouse. This commandment was about protecting the wealth of the male rulers, in making sure it was passed on to their real heirs and not offspring fathered by someone else. It was all about the money, and history has shown that women were punished severely for the crime of adultery while men were merely winked at!

But these Irish girls were not married, so the 7th Commandment doesn't really apply to them at all, when you think about it. The general condemnation of all sex arose when the Catholic Church invented the vow of celibacy to stem the tide of financial losses from supporting all the children being fathered by the clergy. Originally, the clergy were SUPPOSED to be married!

"A bishop must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;" -- 1 Timothy 3:2

But the Catholic church, for purely monetary reasons, ignored the bible and demanded all clergy be celibate. This seems to have sparked an attitude of ,"If I can't have sex then nobody can!!!!", along with the transition to buggering boys who would not produce offspring demanding financial support.

It's all very grey for the poor mothers, but I have to question the "holiness" of in institution that stigmatized the children for something they had no control over, and allowed starvation, maltreatment, and even illegal medical experiments to happen to them. This is not the kind of job performance we expect to see on the resume of a supposed divine being and his representatives on Earth!

Ireland finally admits state collusion in Magdalene Laundry system

After more than seven decades of exploitation and a 10-year struggle for justice, Ireland on Tuesday admitted its role in the enslavement of thousands of women and girls in the notorious Magdalene Laundry system, but stopped short of issuing a formal apology from the government.

A long-awaited report headed by Senator Martin McAleese said there was "significant state involvement" in how the laundries were run – a reversal of the official state line for years, which insisted the institutions were privately controlled and run by nuns.

But the Irish Premier Enda Kenny's failure to give the women and their supporters a full, formal, public apology in the Dail on Tuesday afternoon has infuriated the victims and their supporters, who said such an approach risked undermining Ireland's attempt to right a historic wrong. Instead Kenny stated his "regret" about the stigma hanging over the women.

Jun 07 15:56

The Magdalene Laundry

Someone once said the only thing really new in the world is the history we don't know. The Irish people are learning that right now and it's a painful experience.

It began five years ago when an order of nuns in Dublin sold off part of its convent to real estate developers. On that property were the remains of 133 women buried in unmarked graves, and buried with them was a scandal.

As it turns out, the women had been virtual prisoners, confined by the Catholic Church behind convent walls for perceived sins of the flesh, and sentenced to a life of servitude in something called the Magdalene laundries.

It sounds medieval, something that happened hundreds of years ago, but, in fact, the last Magdalene laundry closed just over two years ago. And as the story was firstly reported in 1999, revelations have shocked the Irish people, embarrassed the Catholic Church and tarnished the country's image.

Catholic Mass Grave Sites Of 350,800 Missing Children Found in Ireland, Spain, Canada

The atrocity of close to 800 emaciated childrens’ bodies buried in a Irish Nuns’ septic tank represented the 34th child mass grave site linked this week to the Catholic Church. Pope Francis was being prosecuted by the International Common Law Court of Justice (ICLCJ) in Brussels for allegedly trafficking 300,000 children of political prisoners through Vatican Catholic Charities during Argentine’s Dirty War. According to witness testimony last week some of those orphans ended up in a child mass grave site in Spain. Last year’s ICLCJ prosecution concerned 50,000 missing native Canadian children. There have been 32 child mass grave sites uncovered so far in Canada, most of them on Catholic-run native residential school grounds.

Religious orders allowed over 2,000 Irish children to be used in medical experiments

More than 2000 Irish children in religious run homes were subjected to drugs trials in the 1930s according to a shocking new report.

As the Tuam burial ground scandal erupts, it has now emerged that Catholic Church run homes and state institutions let the children of unmarried mothers be used in medical experiments.

The Irish Daily Mail has published a damning report which outlines how scientists secretly vaccinated more than 2,000 children in religious-run homes in suspected illegal drug trials.

Thousands of children in Irish care homes at centre of 'baby graves scandal' were used in secret vaccine trials in the 1930s

Scientists secretly vaccinated more than 2,000 children in religious-run homes in suspected illegal drug trials, it emerged today.

Old medical records show that 2,051 children and babies in Irish care homes were given a one-shot diphtheria vaccine for international drugs giant Burroughs Wellcome between 1930 and 1936.

There is no evidence that consent was ever sought, nor any records of how many may have died or suffered debilitating side-effects as a result.

A Menace To The Catholic Plutocracy

Those of you who have read these virtual pages over the years know that I don't believe the Catholic Church was ever a spiritual one but a political one. It was founded to be the state religion of the Roman empire and was the corrupt king maker in much of Europe until the reformation. With 24/7 instant news it became difficult to hide that corruption when the victims of pedophile priests started coming forward. Now the conservative plutocrats that make up the Catholic hierarchy are fighting back proving once again there is very little spirituality involved but a lot of politics and lust for power.
