Suggestion to Rotterdam city council: Don't allow Israeli Jihadists into the city.

ROTTERDAM - Rotterdam must do everything to keep "Israeli Jihadists" out of the city, NIDA and SP argue in written questions to the college. Political parties indicate that more and more Dutch persons go to Israel to fight with the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). The SP and NIDA also believe that the organizations that support this, such as Sar-El and the CIDI should be boycotted by the municipality.
According to the group's chairmen Leo de Kleijn (SP) and Nourdin El Ouali (NIDA) these 'Jihadists' are committing warcrimes by helping the IDF to massacre the inhabitants of Gaza.

The Root Cause of the Never-Ending Conflict in Palestine; and How to Fix It

Zionism is a conceptual ideology in which it is assumed that part or all of the land of Palestine belongs to "the Jews." Of course, we should all be free to assume whatever we want, but where such assumptions lead to organized conquests, expulsions, land dispossession or the kind of repetitive episodes of brutal violence we have just seen in Gaza, that is quite another matter.

Many words have been devoted to the question of how to attain "peace" between the Zionist colonists and the people who were living in Palestine prior to the Zionists' arrival. This article is not about that kind of peace. Defining grounds on which to make peace within the status quo is not my concern here. What I have in mind is something far more fundamental: the return of Palestine, through political inducements, to the people we have come to call the Palestinians. It behooves those who seek an end to violence and a just peace to at least remain open to my argument, as follows:

War-Bambi Awarded Palestinian Lands

A Confiscation Order was issued by the IDF against lands of the Palestinian village Ein Yabrud on August 7, 2014. The land will be used for an access road to lands that even Israel Police recognizes as robbed by Jewish settlers.

The confiscation order benefits Amona, an outpost of the settlement Ofra, near Ramallah. Outposts are considered illegitimate by the government of Israel, while settlements are recognized and generously supported by Zion. *

Eventually, outposts and settlement hope to grow and melt into a single entity. The Hebrew word for outpost, ma'ahaz, means "holder," referring to a temporary structure aimed at keeping ownership. Ariel and Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut are two city-sized settlements created in such a way.

During the process, they aim to enclose Palestinian lands and then deny entrance to the owners. No farming the land is a popular excuse for the later expropriation of the land from Palestinians.

ISRAEL GLOATING IN ITS FAKE VICTORY

The national chorus is trying to fake a victory. In the absence of many achievements, they’re also trying to fake the fall of Hamas. Previously it had faked “national unity,” “steadfastness” and of course the heroism and morality of the Israel Defense Forces. It has dismissed the volleys of global criticism as anti-Semitism. That’s our national chorus, the chorus of fakers.

Bennett: IDF Ready to Strike Back Immediately

Economics Minister Naftali Bennett said that he was fully behind Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu when he says that Israel would respond with full force if Hamas resumed its attacks on Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Can we dispense with this idea that HAMAS is attacking Israel? When those three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped and killed (by abductors who spoke Hebrew on the recording of the cell phone call) in the West Bank, Netanyahu blamed HAMAS in Gaza, even though Israeli police in the West Bank had already concluded that HAMAS had nothing to do with that crime, and even the Israeli media admits that the two suspects named by the Israeli government are not part of HAMAS, but of a group known for disobeying HAMAS and trying to cause trouble for them.

But Netanyahu declared HAMAS, the legally elected government of Gaza, responsible for a crime in the West Bank, and launched bombing raids on July 7th into Gaza using the very latest high-tech weapons provided by the US Government and paid for by the US taxpayers.

To put Israel's actions into perspective, let us recall that over the July 4th weekend, 8 people were killed in Chicago. Using Netanyahu's logic, the Democratic party should be blamed and all of Illinois bombed and invaded!

The Palestinians, who have been attacked without provocation, fight back with their home-made rockets, which so far have mostly knocked a few roof tiles loose.

But to Israel's supporters, we should all forget that Israel attacked Gaza without a valid reason, and view Palestine's attempts to defend themselves as the crime, so that Israel can go on pounding the Palestinians with their superior weapons.

I want to point something out. The Israelis sit in their tanks, or the drone operations centers, or fly high above Gaza in their US-supplied warplanes, dropping the latest in US-supplied high tech lethal munitions, and imagine themselves the heroes they read about in the Torah. The Israelis, clearly unafraid of HAMAS rockets, line the hills overlooking Gaza and cheer the carnage, much as the Romans at the Colosseum cheered as the Christians were thrown to the lions. The Palestinians huddle in their giant open-air prison, without an army, a navy, or an air force, and fight back with home-made rockets made out of plumbing supplies.

Not since Thermopylae has the world seen such courage in the face of overwhelming odds. The Palestinians have balls the US and Israel can only dream of, and the world will remember their courage against the tyrants, and the lies by the corporate media's presstitutes and whorespondents trying to protect Israel's aggression!

Hamas: We’ll resume attacks Friday morning if blockade not lifted

Thousands demonstrate in Gaza, demand new strikes; Israel says it is poised to respond as needed; Israeli delegation returning to Cairo with input on truce talks; Obama slams Hamas but calls for end to blockade

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel set this up by offering to extend the cease-fire "under the current terms" which means Israel gets to go on starving the Gazans, keeping the borders shut, denying the Gazans use of their own seaport and fishing waters, and of course, letting Israel grab the natural gas deposits off of the Gaza coast. This was something HAMAS could never agree to, which is what Israel wanted so they could posture they were trying to make peace and it is all HAMAS' fault for not living their lives the way Netanyahu wants them to.

It is a shame these two hurricanes bearing down on us here in Hawaii are not aimed at Netanyahu instead!

Israeli Army Summarily Executed Fleeing Civilians In Southern Gaza

Even before a short-lived ceasefire allowed journalists to enter the besieged southern Gaza strip town of Khuzaa on 1 August, desperate reports of an Israeli massacre — including execution-style shootings — had emerged from survivors who had escaped to nearby Khan Younis.

Gaza conflict: 360-degree panorama of flattened town of Khuza'a, Gaza

Devastation wrought by an earlier bombardment of Khuza'a, a small farming town less than half-a-mile from Gaza's south-eastern border with Israel, is plain to see.

A furious assault that residents say began on July 20 levelled much of Khuza'a - leaving whole streets flattened, once-grand mosque domes reduced to ground level and the local council's "Bon Voyage Khusa'a" sign lying crumpled in bits like an unfortunate joke at the town entrance.

One man recalled counting 360 shell attacks in a single hour.

Israel 'willing to extend Gaza ceasefire'

Israel is willing to extend a ceasefire that ended a month of fighting in Gaza beyond a Friday deadline, an Israeli official has said, but Hamas has denied that a new deal has been reached.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel is trying to look good by saying they want to extend the cease-fire, but the trick is in the phrase "under the current terms" which means the borders to Gaza remain closed, Israel limits the food allowed into Gaza to 2300 calories per person per day, Gaza is not allowed to use their own seaport and fishing grounds, and of course, Israel controls Gaza's natural gas fields. In other words, Israel's offer is to go on with Israel getting everything they want, while Gaza gets nothing. HAMAS will not accept that, and frankly, neither would I.

Antisemitic threats to children on Sydney bus spark police investigation

Police are investigating reports that a group of Jewish schoolchildren heading home on a bus were victims of a vicious antisemitic attack by a group of teenagers in Sydney.

The children, aged between five and 12, were distraught after the group boarded the bus headed to Bondi Junction on Wednesday afternoon and began screaming antisemitic abuse, a mother of three of them said.

Jacqui Blackburn told the Daily Telegraph her three daughters had called her saying: “Please help us mummy, there’s eight drunk men that have just been let on to our school bus.

“They’re screaming, ‘Heil Hitler, kill the Jews ... we’re going to cut your throats’ ... then the phone cut off.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is an obvious and pathetic hate crime hoax by Israel's supporters trying to regain their victim status by screaming "anti-semitism." But look at the facts. The bus driver of this school bus of young Jewish schoolchildren STOPPED THE BUS, AND OPENED THE DOORS, TO LET THESE "DRUNKEN ADULTS" come onto the bus to scream "Heil Hitler" at the kids. Clearly this was staged and continues a long history of hate crime hoaxes perpetrated by Israel's supporters to stifle criticism of Israel's actions.

There is a long history of such hoaxes, from Claremont College professor Kerri Dunn painting swastikas on her car to the Jewish student at George Washington University who painted swastikas on her own door, then claimed to be the victim of anti-Semitism.

The reason I think this is a hoax is simple. When you are a child and you play cops and robbers, you wanted to be the cops, right? When you played cowboys and indians, you wanted to be the cowboys, right? Nobody wants to play at being the losers and the Nazis lost the war. There are no real nazis wannabes; they are all fakes staged for propaganda purposes.

Second point; WW2 happened in the first half of the previous century, long before most of us were born. The Nazis are all gone and Hitler has been dead for a very long time. Nobody cares about swastikas any more. They are not relevant to the 21st century. The only people keeping those relics alive are the Israelis, for propaganda purposes, so they can wave "Nazi" at us from the last century when anyone dares complain about the atrocities taking place today in Gaza.

Israel-Gaza conflict: Gaza’s survivors now face a battle for water, shelter and power

The biggest waste-water treatment plant in Gaza City isn’t the sweetest smelling place at the best of times. But today the abnormally acrid stench and large swarms of flies testified to the sewage stagnating in its lagoons. War has stopped the plant doing the job it was built for: limiting the pollution of the Mediterranean by semi-treating the 40 million litres a day it pumps into the sea.

Gaza, which enjoyed its first full day of peace yesterday, has lost 1,814 people, the vast majority civilians killed as they hid from Israeli bombardments. Its ill-equipped hospitals hold thousands of patients, many suffering from horrific injuries.

But Israel’s destruction of homes and infrastructure will ensure that the possibility of Gaza having a normal existence is a distant prospect.

Impose arms embargo on Israel, says Andrew Mitchell Former international development secretary warns that misery in Gaza will 'poison goodwill in Middle East for generations'

An arms embargo should be imposed on Israel, the former international development secretary Andrew Mitchell has said, as he warned that the level of misery and carnage in Gaza was likely to poison the remaining goodwill in the region for generations.

Mitchell also said on Wednesday that UN schools in Gaza should not have been targeted for attacks since they were places of sanctuary.

Mitchell, the Conservative MP for Sutton Coldfield, is the most senior former government minister to pronounce on the crisis. His words came after the decision of the Foreign Office minister Lady Warsi to leave the coalition for its failure to condemn the actions of Israel in Gaza.

He said, however, that he disapproved of Warsi's decision on Tuesday to resign, arguing that her voice needed to be heard and that it was better to "fight your corner" in government.

Israeli PM Netanyahu holds press conference

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US corporate media, which doesn't even want to talk with anyone from Gaza, is giving Netanyahu the star treatment and allowing him to use their networks to repeat the already discredited (in some cases by Israel's own media) lies about why Israel "had to" murder a thousand Gazans. Netanyahu is pushing "terror tunnels" and seems to forget that when the Nazis has the Warsaw ghetto surrounded, the way Israel surrounds Gaza, tunnels were dug to bring in needed supplies and were destroyed by the Nazis BUT WITHOUT BOMBING THE GHETTO ITSELF. Netanyahu is also claiming that mortars were being fired from within the UN schools, which the UN flatly denies and for which there is absolutely no evidence.

My first thought when seeing Netanyahu's face on the TV was to switch channels, but then I had another thought. I grabbed my handy-dandy Voice Stress Analyzer and put it next to the TV and snapped the following image, which tells us that Netanyahu knows he is lying.

THE PALESTINIAN CONNECTION TO HIROSHIMA

Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick explained eloquently about the real reasons for dropping the bombs instead of the mythology that is told in school books in America. But does that really make any difference on the horror of what Truman and his generals visited on humanity? Those of us in the medical field understand clinically what radiation poisoning does to the human body but politicians also know that and Truman had detailed reports from the earlier experiments. I met so many hibakushas (survivors of the nuclear blast) and their children and grandchildren. Many told us of the dramatic death of children by leukemia and other cancers and of the congenital deformities. It was more than we could take even as visitors so I can only begin to imagine the actual feelings of people here.

Why Aren't ISIS and Al-Qaeda Attacking Israel?

Brandon Turbeville
Activist Post

With the recent slaughter of Palestinians taking place on television screens across the world, only the grossly misinformed would believe that Israel’s Palestinian extermination program is actually “self-defense.”

Yet for all of Israel’s whining about how it is being targeted by “Islamic extremists” and “terrorists,”(which should be translated to mean Palestinians, Iran, or any other secular or nationalist Arab government in the region) there is a curious and deafening silence when it is confronted with actual terrorists and Muslim fanatics such as ISIS, al-Nusra, and the myriad of other fundamentalist groups waging jihad in Syria and Iraq.

This bizarre silence has yet to raise the eyebrows of the somnambulant general public.

VIOLENT, GENOCIDAL ANTI-PALESTINIAN RHETORIC MOVING TO US?

With the mainstream American Jewish leadership firmly in support of the current military operation there is little pressure for the Israeli government to end the carnage–or for the U.S. government to pressure it to do so.

What if the Children Dying in Gaza were Jews?

Let’s do a thought experiment and imagine that the Arabs had gotten the better of the Israelis in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War and after years of conflict, all that was left of Israel was the Gaza strip.

Assume for a moment that instead of Palestinians, over 1.8 million Jews were crammed into the 11 mile Gaza strip and the state of Palestine, subsidized and supported by a superpower, was administering the calories to the Jews in Gaza, keeping them to a limit of 2,300 a day.

IDF-Embedded Reporter Says It Fired Guided Missile at UNWRA School, Killing 15 Civilians

An Israeli reporter for Maariv, Aviram Zino, has been embedded with an IDF unit during the current invasion. Noam R writes in his Israeli political blog about Zino’s fawning enthusiastic response to being given the chance of a lifetime to be a reporter in the middle of the “action.” His reporting comes across as cheerleading rather than objective journalism. But in spite of himself, Zino reveals a damning fact that impeaches the IDF’s credibility regarding its denial of deliberately targeting UN buildings housing Palestinian civilian refugees.

Zino reports that the unit commander, Nadav, ordered the firing of a $100,000 Tamuz (aka Spike) heat-seeking anti-tank missile on a UNWRA school in Beit Hanoun on July 24th:

Somehow you could not understand the war around you.

You could not comprehend the hatred of the Zionists toward your Palestinian brothers and sisters.

If a Genocide Falls in the Forest

There's a wide and mysterious chasm between the stated intentions of the Israeli government as depicted by the U.S. media and what the Israeli government has been doing in Gaza, even as recounted in the U.S. media.

With the morgues full, Gazans are packing freezers with their dead children. Meanwhile, the worst images to be found in Israel depict fear, not death and suffering. Why the contrast? If the Israeli intent is defensive, why are 97% of the deaths Gazan, not Israeli? If the targets are fighters, why are whole families being slaughtered and their houses leveled? Why are schools and hospitals and children playing on the beach targeted? Why target water and electricity if the goal is not to attack an entire population?

The mystery melts away if you look at the stated intentions of the Israeli government as not depicted by the U.S. media but readily available in Israeli media and online.

Crimes against Humanity. Israel’s “Own Words”: “We Must Expel Arabs…We Struck Civilians Because They Deserved It”

“We must expel Arabs and take their place.”– David Ben-Gurion, October 5 1937, Journal of Palestine Studies, Vol. 41, No. 2 (Winter 2012), University of California Press, pp. 245-250.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Here are some more quotes by Israelis regarding Palestine.

1. "There is a huge gap between us (Jews) and our enemies, not just in ability but in morality, culture, sanctity of life, and conscience. They are our neighbors here, but it seems as if at a distance of a few hundred meters away, there are people who do not belong to our continent, to our world, but actually belong to a different galaxy." Israeli president Moshe Katsav. The Jerusalem Post, May 10, 2001

2. "The Palestinians are like crocodiles, the more you give them meat, they want more".... Ehud Barak, Prime Minister of Israel at the time - August 28, 2000. Reported in the Jerusalem Post August 30, 2000

3. " [The Palestinians are] beasts walking on two legs." Menahim Begin, speech to the Knesset, quoted in Amnon Kapeliouk, "Begin and the Beasts". New Statesman, 25 June 1982.

4. "The Palestinians" would be crushed like grasshoppers ... heads smashed against the boulders and walls." " Isreali Prime Minister (at the time) in a speech to Jewish settlers New York Times April 1, 1988

5. "When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will be able to do about it will be to scurry around like drugged cockroaches in a bottle." Raphael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces, New York Times, 14 April 1983.

6. "How can we return the occupied territories? There is nobody to return them to." Golda Maier, March 8, 1969.

7. "There was no such thing as Palestinians, they never existed." Golda Maier Israeli Prime Minister June 15, 1969

8. "The thesis that the danger of genocide was hanging over us in June 1967 and that Israel was fighting for its physical existence is only bluff, which was born and developed after the war." Israeli General Matityahu Peled, Ha'aretz, 19 March 1972.

9. David Ben Gurion (the first Israeli Prime Minister): "If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault ? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?" Quoted by Nahum Goldmann in Le Paraddoxe Juif (The Jewish Paradox), pp121.

10. Ben Gurion also warned in 1948 : "We must do everything to insure they ( the Palestinians) never do return." Assuring his fellow Zionists that Palestinians will never come back to their homes. "The old will die and the young will forget."

Rania Masri Speech: ' Mr.Obama, what is barbaric?'.

Aug 06 06:35

The War between Gaza and the Zionists

This war belongs to Obama as much as to anyone because it emerged in the vacuum created by Obama’s laziness and lack of courage in standing up to Netanyahu and the Zionist supporters in the US and in Congress.

Hamas’s fight, which is mainly a struggle to lift the siege of Gaza, is an honorable one. Hamas’s fight possess the dignity which the Israeli brutalizers cannot even imagine. In fact, the Zionists gave up any hope of dignity long before they ethnically cleansed Palestine of most of its indigenous population in 1948.

More thoughtful and better informed observer than Obama and Kerry have more correctly noted that the present waves of Hamas rockets was preceded by a sequence of events which left Hamas with little choice except to resist with their only available means, which is firing rockets into Israel.

What the hell is an Israeli-American?

Mr. Raimondo in a recent article at antiwar.com, in mentioning the Times of Israel article, conveniently now removed from public view, added this comment from the writer of the article when referring to Hamas…..

“Anyone who lives with rocket launchers installed or terror tunnels burrowed in or around the vicinity of their home cannot be considered an innocent civilian.” This was written by an “Israeli-American”.

One is tempted to ask, what the hell is an Israeli-American, where is his allegiance, his loyalty, his respect? Surely such shared allegiances are half of the US problems.

Whereas what was said above may be seen on the surface as a reasonable comment in the Times of Israel, compare the situation in reverse, in or around the vicinity of a Palestinian’s home……………

A Global Legal Intifada

What’s plainly not needed is that various states take the carnage in Gaza to simply make pronouncements denouncing Israel and the United States for political gain without invoking the legal remedies that are available to them to potentially protect Palestinians in Gaza. Of course, such a course will likely mean serious retribution of some sort from Israel and likely the United States.

West began his speech by pointing to the deteriorating situation in Gaza, where more than 1,800 Palestinians and more than 60 Israelis have been killed, criticizing Israel’s offensive in the region in front of a “Free Palestine” banner.

Israeli operation kills more than 400 Gaza children

Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip has killed 408 children, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said on Tuesday.

The death toll exceeded that of the sad 2008-2009 Operation Cast Lead that killed 350 children.

According to UNICEF, over the last month the operation injured no less than 2,500 Palestinian children. A one-month infant is among the victims of the Israeli fire at the Gaza Strip, which is one of the world’s most densely populated areas. The conflict has already claimed lives of 1,800 Palestinians. Six children had been injured, the fund said.

According to the UN, civilians account for more than 70% of those killed; children make up a third of the total civilian death count.

So, Israeli behavior and U.S. protection of that behavior is a somber message that we have a way to go to overcome our propensity for murder and mayhem. Gaza Ceasefire: After 1800+ Dead, What Led Israel to Stop the Assault, and What Comes Next?

After a nearly month-long assault that left at least 1,865 Palestinians dead, Israel has pulled its ground forces from the Gaza Strip under the 72-hour ceasefire that went into effect earlier today. Israeli and Palestinian factions have agreed to attend talks in Cairo on a longer-term agreement. Gaza officials say the vast majority of Palestinian victims were civilians in the Israeli offensive that began on July 8. Israel says 64 of its soldiers and three civilians have been killed. Palestinians are returning to homes and neighborhoods that have seen a massive amount of destruction. Nearly a quarter of Gaza’s 1.8 million resident were displaced during the fighting which destroyed more than 3,000 homes. The ceasefire was reached after international outrage over Palestinian civilian deaths peaked, with even Israel’s chief backer, the United States, criticizing recent Israeli shelling of United Nations shelters that killed scores of displaced Palestinians.

Types With Tired Fingers

I have recently had a religious epiphany. I have decided to convert to the Sun Dance faith. This is a religion practiced by many of the North American native people for thousands of years. It's easy to be a Sun Dancer; you can see the Sun! That's a definite plus compared to religions relying on that imaginary playmate in the sky.

I have long felt a kinship with my newly adopted religion and people as you can see in this photo of myself and my wife from the early 1990s.

ISRAEL LIES AS GAZA DIES

All governments lie, as I.F. Stone pointed out, including Israel and Hamas. But Israel engages in the kinds of jaw-dropping lies that characterize despotic and totalitarian regimes. UK activists shut down Israeli arms factory

For nearly a month, Israel has bombarded Gaza from land, sea and air. More than 1800 Palestinians have lost their lives and war crimes have been committed. To our collective shame, the UK government has not only failed to take action to pressure Israel to stop its massacre, but has refused to take steps to end the material support it provides to Israel’s brutal regime of apartheid and colonialism. When governments support crimes against humanity, grassroots movements must take direct action.

A group of activists from the London Palestine Action network have today (5/8/14) chained the doors shut of an Israeli weapons factory based near Birmingham in the UK and are now occupying the roof. As part of the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement (BDS) and in response to calls for action from Palestinian movements, we are demanding the permanent closure of the factory and an end to all forms of military trade and cooperation with Israel.

Israel’s Colonialism Must End

After 47 years of occupation, two decades of stalled peace talks and almost eight years of a strangulating siege of the Gaza Strip, the international community must demand that Israel clearly state what it intends to do with its occupation of the Palestinian people. Since the Palestinians are not the occupiers, but rather those living under occupation, this question cannot be asked of them.

If Israel wants to continue its occupation and hinder Palestinians’ path to freedom and independence, then it should be aware that the Palestinian people will continue to resist with all the means at their disposal. If Israel intends to end the occupation, then it will find that the Palestinians are more than ready for an agreement.

What the Palestinians are enduring today in Gaza should be a clarion call for the entire world to end the bloodshed. But it will take more than a cease-fire. It will take peace. And peace cannot happen without an end to the occupation.

Israeli Deputy Speaker Calls For Concentration Camps In Gaza, Sending Palestinians To Other Countries

Writers for The Times of Israel are not the only ones looking to obliterate the Palestinians in Gaza. Moshe Feiglin, the Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, has said it is time for Israel to take all of Gaza, destroy Hamas and all of their supporters, and send the Palestinians to concentration camps on the Sinai border until Israel can find countries willing to accept them.

It is apparently not enough that Israel has blockaded Gaza and has now killed over 1,800 Palestinians in Operation Protective Edge, the Deputy Speaker wants no Palestinians there at all. The start of this theoretical operation would include shutting down Gaza’s power and water before it was “shelled with maximum fire power.” In other words, kill as many Palestinians as you can before you ship those still alive to the camps.

Israel/Gaza: U.S. shipment of fuel to Israel's armed forces must be stopped as evidence of Gaza war crimes mounts

Amnesty International is appealing to the US government to immediately halt the transfer of a US fuel shipment currently on its way to Israel for use by the Israeli military. Amnesty has repeatedly called for a comprehensive arms embargo on all parties to the conflict, amid mounting evidence that war crimes have been committed by both sides in the past four weeks in Gaza.

The US government has continued to supply hundreds of thousands of tons of fuel - including fuel for fighter jets and military vehicles - to Israel’s armed forces despite a soaring civilian death toll from aerial and other military attacks. The last US jet fuel delivery arrived in Israel on 14 July, a week after the conflict began. Nine previous shipments were made from the US to Israel during 2013 and 2014. A fuel tanker with the latest US fuel shipment is now sailing past the Azores and is due to arrive in Israel on 12 August.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For years the US Government gun-grabbers have been trying to say that those who provide the guns bear the responsibility for the crimes committed with them. Fine. Let us hold them to that. Palestine is attempting to take Israel to the ICC for war crimes trials. The US Government, as provider of the weapons with which the crimes were committed, should be arrested and sent to the Hague as well.

Palestinian, Israel supporters clash during Calgary rally July 19th (with Video)

Violent clashes broke out downtown Calgary during a Palestinian rally over conflicts in the Middle East, sparking a chaotic scene that left spectators fearing for their safety.

Without any visible police presence in front of City Hall, there were two skirmishes between Palestinian and Israeli supporters as victims reported being trampled, kicked and punched.

Police later arrived en masse, shutting down part of Macleod Trail to contain the area while demonstrators cried, screamed and tended to injuries.

Hundreds of Palestinian supporters had marched on City Hall for a planned demonstration over long-standing conflicts with Israel. The clashes began when a few Israeli supporters stood at the edge of the growing Palestinian crowd holding Israeli flags.

A total of five Latin American governments had recalled their ambassadors to Israel as of July 29 in an escalation of diplomatic protests against an operation the Israeli military had been carrying out in the Palestinian territory of Gaza since July 8. Israeli Strikes Hit US-Built Schools in Gaza

Three schools in Gaza that were severely damaged by Israeli attacks in recent days were funded by US taxpayers. The Deir El Balah Preparatory Girls School A & B, Beit Hanoun Elementary Co-ed School A & D, and Zaitoun Preparatory Girls School B in Gaza were all funded by the United States through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, according to the UNRWA.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Palestinian FM seeks ICC war crimes case against Israel

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki said there was "clear evidence" of war crimes by Israel during its offensive in Gaza as he met International Criminal Court prosecutors on Tuesday to push for an investigation.

Malki visited The Hague shortly after Israel and the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement that rules Gaza entered a 72-hour truce mediated by Egypt in an effort to pave the way for an extended ceasefire.

Malki said the Palestinian Authority wanted to give the ICC jurisdiction to investigate alleged crimes by all sides and had discussed a timeline with prosecutors to join the court. He did not provide details.

Israel says ground troops out of Gaza as cease-fire takes effect

The Israeli military has said that all of its ground forces have been removed from Gaza as a 72-hour cease-fire went into effect Tuesday.

The truce, agreed upon Monday by Israel and Hamas, took effect at 8 a.m. local time Tuesday (1 a.m. ET). The Times of Israel reported that a barrage of rockets were fired from Gaza minutes before the cease-fire was due to take effect. The paper also reported that Israeli's Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted two rockets over central Israel, while two other rockets fell into open areas in southern Israel near the Gaza border, causing no damage or injuries.

In Gaza City, where streets had been deserted during the war, traffic picked up and shops started opening doors.

Israeli military spokesman Lt. Col. Peter said Israel withdrew all its remaining forces from Gaza on Tuesday after troops neutralized cross-border tunnels that were built for Islamic militant attacks inside Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel violated the last two cease fires with missile and F-16 strikes within minutes of the start, so I am not hopeful here.

US senator filibusters live coverage of powerful Palestinian testimonies

On Friday, 15-year-old Tariq Abukhdeir spoke at a hearing on Capitol Hill about the brutal beating he endured at the hands of Israeli police in early July.

The purpose of the hearing was to address Israeli impunity and US complicity in crimes against Palestinians. Tariq was one of six panelists to address the room, which was overflowing with congressional staffers.

Moderated by author and campaigner Josh Ruebner, other panelists included Tariq’s mother; Suha Abu Abukhdeir; Hassan Shibly of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Florida chapter; Sunjeev Bery from Amnesty International; Brad Parker from Defence for Children International and Palestinian author Laila El-Haddad.

Though he was just one of six speakers, Tariq’s testimony was especially powerful as he relayed to the audience the horrors and discrimination he witnessed and experienced as a Palestinian-American child visiting his ancestral homeland.

Israel-Gaza conflict: Israel takes brutal revenge on Rafah for the loss of a soldier

The air strike came after Israel declared another ceasefire: a missile hitting a home in the teeming centre of Gaza City, killing five people, including two children, amid fears that bombs will continue to rain down on a population with nowhere to escape even if Israel withdraws its ground forces.

On Monday night, those fears were only heightened when Israel ended its truce, which had covered only parts, and not all, of Gaza. “The campaign in the Gaza Strip goes on,” said the office of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Paul Findley: The Tyranny of Collective Punishment

Because Israel is at war on largely-defenseless Gaza, America seems automatically at war with the 1.8 million Palestinians struggling for survival there. No U.S. declaration of war occurred, but almost every member of Congress provided full-throated support, it seemed, for Israel’s war role.

The death toll in Gaza topped 1,400 when astounding news appeared last week on the Internet screen: the Houses of Congress adopted a resolution expressing unqualified support and praise for Israel’s assault on Palestinians in Gaza. Not a word of sympathy for the families of the dead and the thousands of other Palestinians injured. The death toll has since risen to more than 1,800.

Prominent Israelis: Israel’s Treatment of Palestinians Is Apartheid

One of the intellectual giants of Israel’s founding generation – Yeshayahu Leibowitz – prophesied:

A state ruling a hostile population of 1.5 million to 2 million foreigners would necessarily become a secret-police state, with all that implies for education, free speech and democratic institutions. The corruption characteristic of every colonial regime would also prevail in the State of Israel. The administration would have to suppress the Arab insurgency on the one hand and acquire Arab quislings on the other. There is also good reason to fear that the Israel Defense Force, which has been until now a people’s army, would, as a result of being transformed into an army of occupation, degenerate, and its commanders, who will have become military governors, resemble their colleagues in other nations.

Police said the attack on the bus was a “terrorist attack,” saying the driver was a Palestinian from annexed East Jerusalem.

International community loses patience with Israel actions in Gaza

Israel faced growing international condemnation of its actions in Gaza on Monday after a strike near a UN school sheltering civilians left 10 people dead and sparked widespread outrage.

As Israel's operation in the besieged territory entered its 28th day, the international community appeared to be losing patience with a confrontation the Palestinians say has left more than 1,800 dead in Gaza.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius led the charge, issuing one of the most strongly worded condemnations yet from a Western official.

"How many more deaths will it take to stop... the carnage in Gaza?" Fabius said in a statement.

"Israel's right to security is total, but this right does not justify the killing of children and the slaughter of civilians," Fabius said.

"A political solution is essential... and should in my opinion be imposed by the international community," he said.

Bomb Gaza’ Google Play app lets Android users carry out Israeli air strikes on Palestinians

Google is facing criticism for continuing to allow Android mobile users to download a game called “Bomb Gaza”, in which players are required to “drop bombs and avoid killing citizens”.

The app, which was uploaded on 29 July, has been installed up to 1,000 times and received at least one report as “inappropriate”. As of Monday evening, the game was no longer listed on Google Play.

According to the game’s description and a series of screenshots, users gain points by controlling aircraft marked with Israeli flags as they drop bombs on cartoon Hamas militants.

It comes as more than 1,800 Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing Gaza conflict. Israel has confirmed that 64 of its soldiers have died in combat, while three civilians have been killed by cross-border shelling from Gaza.

It was the seventh time a UN shelter has been hit in the 27 days of the Gaza conflict. The victims had all taken shelter in the schools after being instructed by the Israeli military to leave their homes.
