ENDANGERED SPECIES: THE SELF-EMPLOYED MIDDLE CLASS

Being self-employed (i.e. owning your own small business that does not require employees) is an integral part of the American Dream. Many start out dreaming of a corner office in Corporate America, but as they move up the ladder, many become disillusioned by the process and the goal: do I really want to spend my life making big-shots even wealthier?

POLICE REPORT PART I: BADGE ABUSE

April 2015 was a tumultuous month for policing in “The Land of the Free”. From traffic stop confessions of ticket-writing “expectations” to men being beaten by uniformed officers for sadistic pleasure to a shackled city rupturing in violent riots, the past month has been a horrific case study on the state of police in the United States. This Police Report documents the most egregious cases of police brutality, wrongful deaths, extortion via court fines and surveillance tactics used by local law enforcement. We also explore the perspective from behind the body camera, speaking to a former police chief and current city manager who implemented body cameras in his city two years ago. The unprecedented national attention paid this month to the issue of police brutality will prove historic as citizens take power over the police narrative through camera lenses. This is the April 2015 Police Report.

Americans will 'take more desperate acts due to desperate conditions'

“There is indeed a crisis. The crisis is a product of long standing policy. Housing policy, job creation policy, education policy, [and] healthcare policy. All of the things that are required as fundamental human rights for life in the 21st century,” he stated.

“There’s also the crisis of mass incarceration of particularly black and brown men and the crisis of police murder with impunity,” he added.

6 Reasons Why The Cops Keep Killing People (Besides Racism)

A nice way to start solving this problem would be for the authorities to look at how many people our cops are killing each year and then say, "Let's cut that by half before December, guys." Every job needs goals, after all.

Baltimore as a Microcosm of America

In these drug-saturated neighborhoods, they weren’t policing their post anymore, they weren’t policing real estate that they were protecting from crime. They weren’t nurturing informants, or learning how to properly investigate anything. There’s a real skill set to good police work. But no, they were just dragging the sidewalks, hunting stats, and these inner-city neighborhoods — which were indeed drug-saturated because that’s the only industry left — become just hunting grounds. They weren’t protecting anything. They weren’t serving anyone. They were collecting bodies, treating corner folk and citizens alike as an Israeli patrol would treat Gaza, or as the Afrikaners would have treated Soweto back in the day. They’re an army of occupation. And once it’s that, then everybody’s the enemy. The police aren’t looking to make friends, or informants, or learning how to write clean warrants or how to testify in court without perjuring themselves unnecessarily.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For the public to trust the system, punishment must be seen to be inflicted on the guilty and only on the guilty. When the public sees punishment inflicted at random in the innocent while politically connected guilty go free, the public soon understands that the police are not about justice or law enforcement but merely a tool of oppression by the haves against the have-nots.

Oxygen-starved 'dead zones' up to 100-miles long discovered in Atlantic Ocean

The Atlantic Ocean is teeming with life, but for the first time researchers have discovered dead zones in these waters — areas low in both oxygen and salinity — off the coast of Africa. Fish can’t survive in the dead zones, and researchers don’t yet fully understand how microorganisms will react.

WEBMASTER ADDITION: Remember that methane bubbling up from fracking operations will deplete water of oxygen!

The FBI wants us to have computer security so strong that only they can break in…

The power of magical thinking – the notion that you can make something happen merely by thinking about it – has been much in evidence in the current election campaign. And that’s not entirely surprising, because as politicians get desperate, rationality goes out of the window. What is surprising, however, is when high government officials – for example, heads of intelligence and law-enforcement agencies – begin to show clear signs of the syndrome.

FLASHBACK: Pam Geller: Israeli Secret Agent?

But is Pamela Geller really an Israeli spy? As Geller says, "At the end of the day it is Israel. It is Israel. And Hamas must be crushed, eradicated... I hope cooler heads prevail and they wipe out that nest of Islamic terror (Hamas.)" Geller claims those living in Palestine today are nothing but Arab invading and occupying Jewish holy land.

Geller claims, "The IDF is the most benevolent army in the world... (and) It all about the Jews, the Jews, the Jews, the Jews." All the while she calls the President of the United States "the Antichrist." Geller wants to divide and draw Americans into her war on Islam and gain their unconditional support for Israel. And apparently, some seem to have fallen for her rhetoric and are repeating whole sentences and paragraphs of Pamela Geller’s insanity.

FLASHBACK : Wayne Madsen: Link Between Breivik and Israeli Mossad

Wayne Madsen Report
Sunday, July 24, 2011

Anders Behring Breivik is suspect in massacre of over 80 at Labour Party Youth camp on Norwegian island and downtown Oslo bombing. Breivik is being called a Christian fundamentalist even though he was a Freemason and supporter of such vile Zionist Islamophobes as Pam Geller and Richard Pipes.

Pipes and Geller are ciphers for Israeli intelligence and propaganda elements and provide a clear link between Breivik and Mossad, which is under orders to stage false flag attacks to garner support for Israel against Palestine, Cyprus and Norway being the two most recent examples of Mossad-staged attacks.

Al Sharpton Reveals Federal Agenda: “We Need the Justice Department to Take Over Policing”

Mac Slavo
SHTFplan.com
It isn’t really about Freddie Gray. And it isn’t really about race, either.

It’s about federal power over policing in America.

That agenda, which SHTF reported on back in December, is made plain by the latest from the Rev. Al Sharpton:

“We need the Justice Department to step in and take over policing in this country. In the 20th Century, we had to fight states’ rights to get the right to vote, and we got to fight states’ rights in terms of closing down police cases. Police must be held accountable. I don’t think all police are bad; I don’t even think most are bad; but those that are need to be held accountable.”

9/11 Research and the “American Left”: The Discourse of Foundation-funded “Alternative” Media

Given the impact of the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington five years ago, and the events that they helped to unleash – the declaration of a war which “may not end in our lifetimes” and the acceleration of a global police-state agenda – it is no easy task to discern or exploit positive countertrends. One such trend, however, may be emerging. With a reported 36% of the US population rejecting the official account of September 11th 2001, something unexpected appears to be taking place. The collapse in public confidence with respect to the official “War on Terror” narrative could illustrate the beginning of a wider breakdown in elite brainwashing and mass submission to the top-down dictation of reality. For this new process has affected not only the corporate media. It has opened up a huge breach between the comfortable ‘alternative’ media of the traditional US Left, and a new, more diverse community that pursues the harder task following where the evidence leads.

Coalition Dropping US-Made Cluster Bombs on Yemen

The Saudi-led bombing campaign against rebels in Yemen is using U.S.-supplied cluster munitions, endangering civilians and violating an international arms treaty, Human Rights Watch warned on Sunday.

Through analysis of satellite imagery, Human Rights Watch charges that the weapons landed on a "cultivated plateau, within 600 meters of several dozen buildings in four to six village clusters."

Six Prophetic Sci-Fi Novels That Predicted Our Strange Future

It’s rather sobering to look back at novels like 1984 and compare it to the sprawling surveillance state we now live under, or read Brave New World and bear witness to our drug addled society, many years before it came to pass. But those books are just the tip of the iceberg. The science fiction genre is rife with imaginative stories that predicted the future, sometimes in baffling ways. In other cases, they proved to be so influential as to inspire others to bring their predictions to life.

Walmart Abruptly Lays Off 2,200; Tells Them to Avoid Caffeine and Chocolate, the Nightmares and Flashbacks Will Go Away Soon

What the hell is going on at Walmart? The company shut five stores down with no warning (one of which was a very busy location), laying everyone off and blaming it on plumbing, but a lot of people aren’t buying it.

There are several theories from martial law to payback for protests for higher pay, but either way, this advice sheet given out to the people who were abruptly laid off without warming is really very bizarre.

Aside from telling these people to avoid stimulants such as caffeine, chocolate, nicotine and depressants such as alcohol, one of the pieces of advice on the handout actually says, “Remember that difficulty sleeping, nightmares, flashbacks, and feelings of being ‘hyper-alert’ are common and will diminish in time.”

Wow. Flashbacks and nightmares about working at Walmart? Being “hyper-alert”? Was it really that bad??

Baltimore’s Failure Is Rooted in Decisions That Were Made 100 Years Ago

“We want people to register to vote, because that’s where the change is made,” said State Sen. Catherine Pugh, standing near the smoldering remains of the CVS on North Avenue, and handing voter registration forms to anyone who caught her eye. The street was thick with people—children on a day off from school, adults from the neighborhood, a few street musicians, an incense-waving activist, at least two men with bullhorns, and a gaggle of reporters—and it was a good day for any politician to show her face and shake a few hands. After handing a form to a young man and giving him a pen to fill it out, she turned back to finish her pitch for why this—more than ever—was the time for traditional political action. “I am a senator, I was a city council member. I know that by being there, it does make a difference, and if you don’t vote, it doesn’t happen.”

Planning Chaos in the Middle East: Destruction of Societies for Foreign Money Control

If one wonders how a desert-crawling line of Japanese open-back trucks gifted by the US filled with countless irregular fighters in plain view could ever have ever made it overnight to the point where Western military and political leaders are saying “the war against ISIL may be interminable”, one begins to see through the game. ISIL is a construction financed and trained by covert US and oil-king allies that ruins every place it enters, like Syria once the regime began to win the civil war. Al-Nusra/Al Qaeda was not enough. ISIL is a step up in the US-led control of the Middle East by terror, chaos and social devastation. “The Salvador option” was the first name for the post-war death squads in Iraq, but “Islamic State” stirs much more apocalyptic passions pro and con. Best of all, the ruling foreign war machines of the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia and NATO are now far better justified to “fight the barbaric terrorists”. Saudi Arabia with US support is now even projecting the “terrorist” and sectarian “Shiite” labels on the popular uprising of the poor in Yemen against a corrupt US-Saudi puppet government. One object alone is achieved. Peoples and resources of the region can be predated without sovereign social defences or unity of collective life purpose, the ultimate target of every US-led aggression. As long as all evils can be blamed on an ever-shifting Enemy, there is no overcoming recognition.

Freddie Gray’s Knife – Why is Prosecutor Claiming Unlawful Arrest?

A new talking point claiming that Freddie Gray’s original arrest was unlawful has arisen, propelled by the claim yesterday by Prosecutor Mosby that the knife seized from Gray by police was legal to possess in Maryland.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Those in the "Police are always right and you citizen scum are always wrong" camp are now trying to redefine the laws regarding knives. Where does "switchblade" leave off and "spring assist" start? We have the exact same laws here in Hawaii and I asked one of our cops what the difference is, and he (and common sense) said that a switchblade is where the spring opens the knife all by itself when the button is pushed, and a spring assist requires action by the holder to open the blade with the spring merely supplying added energy. But the "Police are always right and you citizen scum are always wrong" are now trying to nitpick that definition to insist that the police were correct to arrest Freddie Grey (while ignoring the issue of just why he wound up dead.)

But there is a valid issue here. We have so many laws regarding knives (and everything else) that it is difficult to know what is legal and what is not. Laws banning certain knives are as effective as laws limiting guns, which is to say they don't stop the criminals one damn bit, and in the confusion lead to unnecessary deaths such as happened to Freddie Grey.

I would argue that under the Second Amendment, all laws limiting knives are unconstitutional and should be struck down. That makes life simpler. Freddie Grey gets to go about his life and grow old, the cops don't get charged with murder and are free to go after real criminals; everybody wins.

I grew up in an age where the laws punished actions, not possessions. Knives (and guns) were accepted parts of life. A Boy Scout Knife was an 8 inch sheath knife on the belt, rather than the tiny swiss army knife the kiddies are allowed today. A lot of people had souvenirs left over from WW2, including guns and bayonets and nobody bothered them, unless they committed an action that was punishable.

Freddie Grey's knife was in his pocket. He did not have it out. It was not open. He was not engaging in any action. He was not committing a crime. The police just grabbed and searched him, found a knife which they are trying retroactively to declare was sufficient grounds to murder him on the spot.

The police were wrong. And the more they try to weasel word their way out of this the worse the police as a whole will look to the American people. Because in the end, the police are subject to the same laws as the rest of us. The US Supreme Court ruled that in John Bad Elk vs United States.

Today the police are treating the American people the way the British Regulars treated the colonists, and left unchecked, will likely produce a similar response.

In his famous "Give me liberty" speech, Patrick Henry warned of the approaching sounds of clashing arms. The sounds are about us even know, in the batons crashing into protesters skulls, the hiss of the tear gas, the bodies of victims bound hand and foot crashing into the side of "rough ride" police cans, the innocent bystanders shot by police, the children burned and crippled with flash-bang grenades.

The war is already forced upon us like it or not, and nobody can call themselves neutral any longer.

The ZBT Media Blackout - Jewish Fraternity Members Spits on Military Veterans - Blackout Ensues

When one thinks of fraternities, the usual associations are all wrong from the viewpoint of the left. This is presumably why the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity at the University of Virginia was targeted by Sabrina Rubin Erdely. After all, she described UVA students as “throngs of toned, tanned, and overwhelmingly blond students” — doubtless incipient Nazis in Erdely’s overactive ethnic imagination.

So it’s quite odd to find a fraternity that does things like spitting on wounded U.S. military veterans and throwing beer bottles at them. Or tearing American flags off cars of military veterans and urinating on them.

Is a Kincardine (Ontario, Canada) deep geological repository the solution for nuclear waste?

In January the city of Chicago joined the list of communities now 152 strong that stand in opposition to Ontario Power Generation’s plan to bury and immobilize its waste inventory on land adjacent to the Bruce Nuclear Generating Stations, little more than a kilometre from the lip of the Great Lakes. “The resolution used some colourful terms like cataclysmic,” says Keto, OPG’s vice-president of nuclear decommissioning. “I was surprised to see that. I thought it was reserved for other things of maybe a little more significance, like asteroids and things like that.”

The misgivings from oppositional communities can be captured in Chicago’s declaration: “A leak of radioactive waste would almost certainly have a cataclysmic effect on the delicate ecological balance of the world’s largest group of freshwater bodies.” Keto calls the resolution uninformed. “It’s really one-sided and not unlike all the resolutions that we’ve seen that are emotion-based and not fact-based, and that’s unfortunate.”

America’s Control Over the World Is Rapidly Eroding

The U.S. government has angered many countries because of their long history of highly aggressive military actions, but there seems to be no plan of stopping. It would be smart to listen to the other countries and simmer down in the military department before it is too late. It’s no secret that the U.S. is most certainly not the most loved country in the world because of its government’s long history of highly aggressive military actions, as well as its interference in the internal affairs of countless nations. But what we are seeing today is that an increasing number of nations are turning against the U.S. and taking various actions to rid themselves of its presence and influence.

The Central Role of Israel in the U.S. State Religion

The national secular religion of this country consists of a cluster of rarely questioned premises, usually inculcated in childhood, comparable to the articles of a real religious creed.

The first proposition is the idea that we live in a “free” country, as symbolized by the Statue of Liberty idol that towers over New York City’s harbor. The system absolutely insists on this point, incessantly hammering it in. It’s its basic tenet. Indeed it’s presented as “self-evident.” You’re in this country, ergo, you are FREE.

Religious Fanaticism is a Huge Factor in Americans’ Support for Israel

Almost half of all Americans want to support Israel even if its interests diverge from the interests of their own country. Only a minority of Americans (47 percent) say that their country should pursue their own interests over supporting Israel’s when the two choices collide. It’s the ultimate violation of George Washington’s 1796 Farewell Address warning that “nothing is more essential than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded. … The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness is in some degree a slave.”

Government Confirms Increased Earthquake Activity Related To Fracking

The US Geological Survey recently released findings that show, as many people have suspected, that the process known as fracking is directly related to the incredible increase of earthquake incidence in the United States. According to the study, the amount of earthquakes has increased dramatically over the past few years; between 1973 and 2008 there was an average of 21 earthquakes of a magnitude 3 and larger on the Richter scale in the Central and Eastern United States. This increased to an alarming rate of 99M3+ earthquakes per year between 2009 and 2013, and this rate is continuing to rise.

Australia First to Introduce a Compulsory Tax on Money Itself

The reason I moved the Solution Conference forward was due to the fact that all my sources behind the curtain were screaming from the four corners of the world that the new age of Economic Totalitarianism is upon us all. Australia will be the first to introduce a compulsory tax on savings. This is the ultimate Marxist state for now anyone with spare cash is the enemy of the Conservative Tony Abbott government. What I laid out at the Solution Conference is the ONLY way out of this nightmare. It is time for people to start spreading the word and get behind changing the game plan while we still have a game in play. We have to stop this confiscation of all wealth and the continual borrowing and taxation. This will lead to the total destruction of Western culture for we are plagued by power hungry insane politicians who cannot see past their nose.

Iowa, the top egg-producing state in the United States, is the third state to declare a state of emergency because of the viral outbreak, which either has led or will lead to the extermination of up to 21m chickens and turkeys nationwide.

A Totalitarian Society Has Totalitarian Science

Totalitarian science lets you know you’re living in a totalitarian society.

We are now witnessing the acceleration of Official Science. Of course, that term is an internal contradiction. But the State shrugs and moves forward.

The notion that the State can put its seal on favored science, enforce it, and punish its competitors, is anathema to a free society.

OBAMA BLOCKS IRAQI NUN FROM DESCRIBING CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION

A leading conservative is asking why the Obama State Department is barring a persecuted Iraqi nun from entry into the United States to share her message about the brutal treatment of Christians in her country.

Nina Shea of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, writes in a National Review op-ed that Sister Diana Momeka is “an internationally respected and leading representative of the Nineveh Christians who have been killed and deported by ISIS.”

Yet this nun is being “barred from coming to Washington to testify about this catastrophe?”

Sister Diana was the only Christian in the delegation and the only member blocked from the trip, the Washington Times reported, leading some of her American supporters to question why she was singled out.

Shea, in her op-ed titled “With Malice Toward Nun,” exposed the real reason why Obama denied the visa for Sister Diana.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The persecution of Christians and other minority religions in the Middle East now is an established fact. That Obama wants it ignored is not going to make it go away spontaneously.

The GOP Is Trying to Give the 25 Richest Americans a $334 Billion Tax Break

In mid April, the Republican-controlled House voted to repeal the estate tax, which, despite the GOP's "death tax" messaging, affects only the superrich: Of the nearly 2.6 million Americans who died in 2013, just 4,687 had estates flush enough to trigger the tax. That's because the bar to qualify for the estate tax is quite generous: The first $5.43 million of an individual's wealth is exempt from the tax, and that amount goes up to $10.86 million for married couples. After that point, the tax rate is 40 percent.
