New research published this week in the journal Heart has confirmed the findings of two controversial studies on calcium supplementation and heart attack risk published in the British Medical Journal last year, and which found a 24-27% increased risk of heart attack for those who took 500 mg of elemental calcium a day.[1] [2]

The results of this newest review, involving 24,000 people between the ages of 35 and 64, were even more alarming. Those participants who took a regular calcium supplement increased their risk of having a heart attack by 86% versus those who took no calcium supplements at all...

Thanks to Posse Comitatus, the US military are forbidden from responding on the streets of America whenever the whim is announced.

The Posse Comitatus Act, Section 1385, states that only under “circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress” can a military presence on American streets be permitted.

Yet, if the Defense Department has their way, a new authorization act will give them the power to order the armed forces to be used against the American public...

It didn’t occur to me that the six-foot fence around the perimeter was meant to keep me in. That is, until the day I decided to leave.

The IAEA suspects that Iran has raised its enrichment threshold towards weapons-grade level. The hunch is based on evidence found at the Fordo enrichment plant a day after P5+1-Iran talks ended with no agreement.

­The UN's atomic agency reportedly found traces of uranium enriched up to 27 per cent, diplomats told AP. This is seven percent higher than Iran’s known enrichment grade.

Even though this is substantially below the 85 per cent (and often higher) level normally required for weapons-grade uranium, the IAEA suspects that Iran has moved closer to producing the material needed to arm nuclear missiles.

Ontario students have pledged to take to the streets in solidarity with their protesting fellows in Montreal and other cities of Quebec. The students are defying emergency laws the authorities are imposing to curb down the wave of dissent.

Without any mainstream media coverage at all, the House of Representatives passed the United States – Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012 (USIESC).

The USIESC, written by Eric Cantor, claims there is a need to provide Israel with unlimited military and financial aid as a result of the disturbances caused by the Arab Spring.

Israel will have an essentially unlimited amount of funds allocated to them through the Federal Reserve Bank. The country will also enjoy an “expanded role of NATO” that consists of an “enhanced presence at NATO headquarters and exercises”.

The USIESC pledges the US government’s “commitment” to assist Israel in remaining a Jewish State; as well as protection from the UN if the UN Security Council resolves to hold Israel accountable to international laws.

The US government’s counter-terrorism unit will also aid Israel by any means...

Fukushima plant operators are now admitting that the Fukushima radiation levels emitted from the disaster exceeds almost two and a half times the initial ‘estimate’ produced by Japanese safety regulators.

The announcement comes after independent researchers exposed the true amount of radiation leaked from the plant back in October of 2011. The study revealed that significantly more radioactive cesium was released into the atmosphere as a result of the Fukushima explosion than many nuclear experts previously told the public...

Plaintiffs include Medina's mother Molliann Waltjen, sister Roseanna Medeiros, and aunts Beverly Lokelani Medeiros and Kawahinekuuipolani Cliffann Medeiros.
They claim Hawaii and CCA have a "systematic tolerance of gang domination and fatally inadequate classification practices."
Medina was diagnosed as "moderately mentally retarded" and "developmentally delayed," his family says. He spent his teen years in foster care, mental institutions and after running away from a group home, got in trouble with theft and burglary charges.

A new report released found that the majority pharmaceutical drugs used to combat malaria are bogus or of poor quality .

The Fogarty International Center at the US national Institutes of Health (NH) funded a study that found a shocking 20 to 42% of the malaria vaccines used in Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa are of substandard quality or absolutely fake.

By researching studies and publications, the report explains that, according to the Southeast Asian countries, 36% of the 1,437 samples of malaria vaccines were counterfeit.

Another 30% of samples could not test positive for the pharmaceutical compounds that would be in a malaria vaccine...

That the implementation of a one world government is not some magical or mysterious suggestion that can only be understood by an arduous reading between the lines, as some naive debunkers have suggested, has been disproven by the fact that the aim of global government has been spelled out for us word for word by overeager transnationalists and the think tanks they tend to assemble in. Earlier this month Obama announced that his raid and subsequent killing of Osama bin Laden was a good enough reason to re-elect him to office this November.

Obama claims the U.S. commando raid in which Osama bin Laden was killed was the singularly most important day of his presidency. It was called Operation Neptune’s Spear. “I did choose the risk,” Obama said. “The reason I was willing to make that decision of sending in our SEALs to try to capture or kill bin Laden rather than to take some other options was ultimately because I had 100 percent faith in the Navy SEALs themselves.”

Now Obama has given Hollywood filmmaker, Kathryn Bigelow, the exclusive rights to make a propaganda film for them about the Navy SEAL Team Six that supposedly raided the bin Laden compound and took down the “terrorist leader”...

First the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) claimed that their research confirms Japanese milk and vegetables are safe for human consumption. They reported that radiation levels are below cancer-causing levels.

This figure also only includes the amount of cesium released into the atmosphere and does not consider the amount released into water at the plant.

It should be noted that when declaring land contaminated with radiation to uninhabitable the levels of Cesium fallout is what is considered due to its 30 year half-life.

The number of chickens produced annually in the United States has increased by more than 1,400 percent since 1950 while the number of farms producing those birds has dropped by 98 percent.

A new study to be published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, says that those who were vaccinated with the swine flu vaccine have developed antibodies against many other strains of flu; including the H1N1 strain.

The swine flu vaccine, simply called the H1N1 vaccine, is the same one administered in 2009 to save the population from the pandemic that wasn’t.

The researchers of the study had hoped to develop a universal vaccine to be administered to everyone. They were attempting to protect against a broad range of flu strains and viruses, say Rafi Ahmed, study researcher and director of Emory University’s Vaccine Center.

Each year, a new vaccine for the flu is developed because 1) the potency of the vaccine wanes over time, and 2) the strains mutate so quickly that the quest for a universal vaccine has been simply out of reach for scientists...

Iran and six world powers are meeting today for nuclear talks in Baghdad - and Israel is unsurprisingly unhappy about such diplomacy.

In a clear sign that Israel will not be satisfied until Iran's nuclear facilities have been bombed, Israeli Defence minister Ehud Barak yesterday accused Iran of "deception" over its recent agreement to allow UN inspectors into the country.

A statement released by Barak's office accused Iran of trying to "reach a technical agreement that will create a deception of progress in talks in order to reduce the pressure ahead of talks tomorrow in Baghdad and postpone harshening of sanctions". He further went on to dictate how attendees of the Baghdad talks should deal with Iran, demanding that "It's forbidden to make any concessions to Iran. World powers' demands must be clear and unequivocal."

During a military parade rehearsal this week, more than 90 people were killed after a bomber wearing an army uniform self-exploded amidst a group of soldiers at al-Sabin Square. The terrorist group al-Qaeda claimed the bombing, saying that one of their members carried out the attack.

Along with the estimated 90 killed, defense ministry officials said 222 people were injured in the attack. The al-Qaeda plant was present moments before Defense Minister Nasser Ahmed and the army’s chief-of-staff were scheduled to greet the troops. The majority of the dead were stationed from the Central Security Organization.

Yemen has been the stage for al-Qaeda’s attacks against the president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who recently took office. Hadi has declared war against al-Qaeda, saying it is a “religious duty’ of the state to do so.

San Luis Obispo Mayor, Jan Marx, wrote a letter to the editor (published in The Tribune newspaper May 20) which began in praise of reporter Bob Cuddy's "excellent piece of investigative journalism" — referring to Cuddy's May 15 front-page/above-the-fold/headline opinion piece in which Cuddy nit-picked some campaign literature sent out by Supervisory candidate, Debbie Arnold.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand — New Zealand says it will withdraw its small contingent of troops from Afghanistan a year earlier than planned.

Prime Minister John Key told reporters Tuesday that the 145 New Zealand troops stationed in Bamiyan province will come home in late 2013 rather than 2014.

The message from the Anglo-American-Israeli pact has never been more clear, as today Iranian officials have been forced to meet with world powers in Baghdad, Iraq; the city devastated by the US led occupation, which was sold to the public on the back of lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction. Despite there being no evidence that Iran is seeking to produce nuclear weapons, nor that they are anywhere near capable of doing so, the symbolic location of the talks should remind the world that when there is an agenda, facts can be massaged in to place to support it.

I first came to national attention back in 2008 and 2009 when the housing and credit markets imploded.

Three years later I am now catching heat from many who assume that my predictions actually fell short. They argue that I was able to anticipate the crash but that I severely underestimated the resiliency of the American economy.

When the government’s delaying tactic, which involves continuous borrowing and money printing is no longer tenable, the dollar could collapse, interest rates and consumer prices could soar and the U.S. economy could implode. That’s the real crash that I was warning about, and the one we all need to be worried about now.

At least this closer-than-expected call was to a living, breathing person.

Dimon was given his seat on the Fed’s board in 2007. He has enjoyed his position throughout the financial crisis that his and several other mega-banks have caused through irresponsible behavior on the global stock market.

A new study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences shows that pregnant rats exposed to the common agricultural fungicide vinclozolin pass on the damage to their descendants.

While the co-author stated that the purpose of the study was to investigate potential phenomena which are caused by exposure to the chemical, not to assess the risk humans face, rats are regularly used as models.

Like bisphenol-A (which the Food and Drug Administration refuses to ban from food packaging despite indications that it is a similarly dangerous endocrine disruptor even at low doses), this chemical has been shown to interrupt the course of normal sexual development, among other dangers.

For those who are unfamiliar, vinclozolin – sold under brand names Ronilan, Curalan, Vorlan and Touche – is used to fight various diseases which target crops, such as molds, rots, blights and is even regularly used on golf courses...

The use of two toxic substances – styrene and formaldehyde – is causing numerous health complications.

It is no big secret that formaldehyde is a very dangerous substance – the mere vapor content, when exposed to the atmosphere has been found to be very risky for the environment.

Normally this is only cause for concern for those of us that embalm corpses professionally; most of the preserving agents used contain formaldehyde or are entirely composed of formaldehyde. However, in the past year there has been some relatively widespread concern (surprisingly within the government structure) of whether or not the general public is exposed to TOO much formaldehyde, potentially causing many cases of cancer that could have been avoided...

On May 9, a National Writers Union (NWU) Chicago Chapter press release said:

"In 1968, the Democratic Party came to the City to nominate a president. What happened then became a part of Chicago's history: a massive public uprising of protest against an unjust war and a corrupt political system that created a massive local reaction within the City's police department. Violence and chaos resulted."

Forty-four years later things went from bad to worse. Imperial wars rage out of control. Obama, the peace candidate, itches for more. Belligerent nations never run out of targets or reasons to attack them.

Nato summit leaders should have been forced to watch the moving protest of the former troops chucking their medals away.

It was one of the most moving experiences many of us had witnessed in our lives. It is hard to describe in words. I couldn't get the lump out of my throat. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a woman next to me crying. Earlier this year, the President created the Global Development Council (GDC); a new commission that is promoting global growth and expansion through international initiatives.

The purpose of the council is to advance the US government’s “national security objectives: security, prosperity, respect for universal values, and a just and sustainable international order.”

Funding for the GDC dictates their policy with the engagement of financial partners and beneficiaries as well as stakeholders.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will govern GDC. Through foreign governments and hidden within humanitarian aid, GDC utilizes non-profit advocacy groups, philanthropic individuals and charities as well as partner with mutli-national corporations to give them seats on the council.
