The Iron Law of Oligarchy Returns

The death of Danny Schechter, “the News Dissector,” at age 72 from cancer marks a sad moment for independent journalism. Schechter’s was a strong voice against the empty platitudes and blatant hypocrisies that have come to define modern American media and politics, as he explained in an article last year.

The word “Oligarchy” has finally come home. For years, it was a term only used in connection with those big bad and sleazy Mafioso-type businessmen in Russia. Russia had Oligarchs; we didn’t. That became a big difference between the official narrative of what separated our “land of the free and the home of the brave” from “them” in the post-Soviet period.

In the state Duma proposed to give bloggers the status of the media

Google Translate: The bill requires the addition of a list of media the term "blogger". This refers to the owner of the site and / or site pages on the Internet that host a public information and access to which during the day is more than three thousand users.

So, blogger is granted the status of the media in the organization of the dissemination of information on the Internet as well as have the rights and responsibilities of the journalist.

Without the adoption of this law bloggers equated to journalists, to be compared to them at a disadvantage, as it does not have the status and completeness of the journalist's right provided by law, the author notes the explanatory note to the bill.

When Our Monsters Speak, TV Journalists Go Deaf

Public debate on TV in western societies has long been reduced to the spectacle of the 1% talking to each other: millionaire journalists pretending to hold even wealthier politicians accountable. This usually constrains debate exactly the way one would expect, but gruesome truths are sometimes revealed, inadvertently, because rotten values are shared by elite journalists and western officials.

Consider the infamous exchange between Madeleine Albright and Lesley Stahl in May of 1996:

Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price–we think the price is worth it.

Albright was then U.S. Ambassador to the UN. About a year after this interview she was promoted and became Secretary of State under Bill Clinton.

Awkward: CBS Talking Head Accuses Radio Host Of Being White And Co-Opting Black Culture: “I’m Actually Black”

TheDailySheeple.com

CBS Contributor Nancy Giles joined radio hip-hop DJ Jay Smooth to discuss the new Starbucks #RaceTogether campaign. After several minutes of discussing race relations in modern day America CBS showed a clip of Jay Smooth in which a rap instrumental was playing in the background and he said that it’s time we hold people accountable for their words and actions. In the video Jay, who is fair-skinned, used a vernacular often associated with African Americans.

Giles, who remained respectful during the entire discussion, apparently suggested that he was co-opting black culture to get his point across.

The conversation got a little awkward considering it was about making assumptions based on race… and the fact that Jay Smooth is actually African American, and not white, as Nancy Giles assumed:

A Neocon Admits the Plan to Bomb Iran

Not exactly known for truthfulness, U.S. neocons have been trying to reassure the American people that sinking a negotiated deal with Iran to limit its nuclear program would be a painless proposition, but at least one prominent neocon, Joshua Muravchik, acknowledges that the alternative will be war – and he likes the idea.

On Sunday, the neocon Washington Post allowed Muravchik to use its opinion section to advocate for an aggressive war against Iran – essentially a perpetual U.S. bombing campaign against the country – despite the fact that aggressive war is a violation of international law, condemned by the post-World War II Nuremberg Tribunal as “the supreme international crime.”

Secrets revealed of how Israel manipulates U.S. public opinion

One of the Israeli government’s secrets to manipulating the American media has been revealed for the first time by new research.

Israel habitually launches its most unpopular and, sometimes, deadly attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza to coincide with big news events here in the U.S., so that they don’t get too much public attention, according to the study.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Like Nov 4th, 2008, when the US was watching Obama win his first term, Israel broke the cease fire with HAMAS and attacked Gaza, then claimed Gaza had violated the cease fire when people started paying attention again!

Jon Stewart equates maniac Netanyahu with American whites

Here is a neat little Zionist trick. First take PM Netanyahu, with the blood of thousands of Gazans killed or maimed last summer still fresh on his hands and trying to manipulate America into an insane war with Iran. Then pick one of his most insignificant transgressions, namely warning his supporters that Arab voter turnout likely to be unusually high — the implication being that Arab electoral participation is undesirable. Finally, as the punch line to a joke, say ginning up “racist fears of minority turnout for short-term political gain” is “our thing?” What does he mean by “our thing?” Well, who is not a minority in this country? Whites! And Jon Stewart, as a Jew, has a magic yarmulke that he can put on and take off, depending on whether he wants claim oppressed minority status or magnanimously engage in self-hate as a whitey.

Kiev Shifts Goalposts as Merkel Skews Wide

Unfortunately, the prognosis is that if Merkel cannot see the glaring truth of the situation by now... then there is not much hope of the chancellor ever coming to a realistic political position on Ukraine...And, grimly, that means the outlook for further conflict is not good.

Kiev President Petro Poroshenko unveiled a new dimension of international sanctions against Russia this week, while being royally entertained by German leaders in Berlin. The oligarch-turned-politician now wants the Western allies of the Kiev regime to boycott the 2018 World Cup Finals to be held in Russia.

Netanyahu’s Victory: Now What President Obama?

Netanyahu's outright rejection of a Palestinian state and his promise to go on building more and more illegal settlements leave Obama without any wriggle room.

“Love him (Netanyahu) or hate him, this is the face of Israel.” That’s how Uriel Heilman concluded an article for the JTA (Jewish Telegraph Agency) on Netanyahu’s election victory after noting that he had shown his true colours by declaring that there would be no Palestinian state while he is in charge. What President Obama now has to decide is whether or not he will allow Netanyahu to remain in charge of American policy for Israel-Palestine.

Netanyahu Unmasks Israel

With the facades gone, Americans must decide if they will embrace this apartheid system or not...

Desperate to win reelection, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stripped off Israel’s mask and exposed the ugliness that has deformed his country over the past several decades. He abandoned the subterfuge of a two-state solution, exposed the crass racism that underlies Israeli politics, and revealed Israel’s blatant control of the U.S. Congress.

For years, U.S. politicians have rejected allegations of Israeli racism and excused mistreatment of the Palestinians as a temporary necessity that would be fixed by a two-state solution. But Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has destroyed those arguments in his panic to keep his job, reports Robert Parry.

Lavrov condemns Reuters report on MH17 crash, calls for 'unbiased, professional' investigation

“[There are] some witnesses, who contradict one another, and express things amusing for any specialist. For instance, some wiggling rocket, separating rocket stages, blue clouds of smoke,” the minister said, adding such information has been provided by alleged eyewitnesses, who managed to see the crash despite being 25 kilometers (15 miles) away from it, in cloudy weather.

According to Reuters, villagers in eastern Ukraine “saw a missile flying directly overhead just before a Malaysian airliner was shot out of the sky on July 17 last year, providing the most detailed accounts to date that suggest it was fired from territory held by pro-Russian rebels.”

Propaganda Alert: NYT Tries to Make Jeb Bush Look Cool with Puff Piece About Him Meeting Rapper Ludacris

This is not the first time NYT got caught bending over for Jeb Bush and Co. Back in October the outlet wrote the fawning Bush piece, “The Bushes, Led by W., Rally to Make Jeb ‘45’” and, oddly, did not allow comments so no one could rank or comment on the story whatsoever.

Then again, propaganda is one thing, but when it becomes this painfully obvious, it just hurts.

Year-to-date, MSNBC’s daytime viewership is down 21 percent overall and 41 percent in the coveted 25-to-54 year-old demographic, putting it in fourth place behind Fox News, CNN and CNN’s sister network HLN. Its prime-time ratings are down 24 percent and 42 percent, respectively. German TV presenter claims faking Varoufakis middle-finger video

German television presenter Jan Böhmermann posted a video on the YouTube website on Wednesday, in which he claimed that members of the team that produces his "Neo Magazin Royale" program had doctored a video to make it appear as if Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis had made an obscene gesture towards Germany.

"Who would fake something like this," Böhmermann asked in the video. "The only thing I could possibly imagine is that it's some publicly financed loser show. And that's just what we did."

The allegedly doctored video, which raised eyebrows in Berlin after it was shown on a talk show hosted by Günther Jauch on public broadcaster ARD on Sunday, came from an address that Varoufakis gave to a 2013 conference in Zagreb, long before he became Greece's finance minister two months ago.

Truth Is Our Country — Paul Craig Roberts

snip: The US media is no longer run by journalists. It is run by former government officials and corporate advertising executives. The values of the mega-media companies depend on their federal broadcast licenses. If the companies go against the government, the companies take a risk that their licenses will not be renewed and, thus, the multi-billion dollar values of the companies fall to zero. If media organizations investigate wrongful activities by corporations, they risk the loss of advertising revenues and become less viable.

Ninety percent control of the media gives government a Ministry of Propaganda, and that is what exists in the United States. Nothing reported in the print or TV media can be trusted.

It’s a Contest By Bionic Mosquito

snip: I am here to give you the backstory. These types of stories are concocted over a few shots, among laughing jovial colleagues in the bowels of some government building. They make bets on seeing who can come up with the wildest, most ludicrous story and not get called on it. The winner is the one whose story results in the biggest increase to departmental budgets – and the bigger the whopper, the bigger the increase.

Jan lost her bet, but many others did not…for example:

“We will tell them that Building 7 collapsed because of a furniture fire.”

“The passport of one of the hijackers was found a few blocks from where the plane crashed into the tower.”

“We dumped his body into the ocean out of respect for Muslim tradition.”

With Putin Back, Trail of Mainstream Media Hysteria Remains

Brandon Turbeville
Activist Post

Vladmir Putin has been found or, more accurately, Vladmir Putin has reappeared putting an end to all the ridiculous rumors surrounding his nine-day absence from public view. While having canceled only one public meeting and otherwise remaining on schedule, the Western media went into overdrive to convince someone – (whether Russian or American it is not fully clear) – that Putin had been ousted, killed, or otherwise “neutralized.”

Most likely, the Western press was attempting to capitalize on the nine-day absence by Putin in order to sow seeds of destabilization in Russian society and to decrease whatever faith in their governmental system that Russians may have...

And it's free, which makes it a Godsend for journalists, editors and policy analysts.

But according to its critics, it is also a dangerous, highly sophisticated propaganda operation, disseminating hate and disinformation on an unprecedented worldwide basis.

CNN Is Beating the Drums of War

President George W. Bush’s national security advisor, Condi Rice, warned Americans that Saddam Hussein’s (nonexistent) weapons of mass destruction could result in a mushroom cloud going up over an American city. No such threat existed. But today a very real threat exists over all American cities, and the national security advisor does not notice.

The threat issues from Washington and arises from the demonization of Russia and its leadership.

Wolf Blitzer (CNN, March 13) used the cover of a news program to broadcast a propaganda performance straight out of the Third Reich or perhaps from George Orwell’s 1984. The orchestration presented Russia as a massive, aggressive military threat. The screen was filled with missiles firing and an assortment of American General Strangeloves urging provocative measures to be deployed against the Russian Threat. Blitzer’s program is part of the orchestrated propaganda campaign whose purpose is to prepare Americans for conflict with Russia.

‘Didn’t know they watch Fox in Russia’: Defiant ‘kill Russians’ US ex-general insists he told ‘truth’

Seemingly unfazed by the outrage his comments on Fox Business Channel have caused, the former US general who thinks the only solution to the Ukraine conflict is to “start killing Russians” has defended his stance, again speaking to Fox.

Robert H. Scales, the retired United States Army major general whose outburst was aired by Fox on Tuesday, did not have to justify his comments as such, as he was invited for a cozy conversation with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren to jokingly discuss the reaction to his remarks.

The Washington Post Will Kill Us All

"War with Iran is probably our best option." This is an actual headline from the Washington Post.

Yes it's an op-ed, but don't fantasize that it's part of some sort of balanced wide-ranging array of varied opinions. The Washington Post wouldn't print a column advocating peace to save its life -- as such an act just might help to do. And you can imagine the response if the headline had been: "Racism is probably our best option," or "Rape is probably our best option," or "Child abuse is probably our best option." Nobody would object: "But they've probably had lots of columns opposing child abuse. Surely they can have one in favor, or do you want to shut down debate?" No, some things are rightly considered beyond the range of acceptability. War, in Washington, is not one of them.

When I published my "Tragedy of the American Military" article last month, some people said: No, it's an exaggeration to claim that war is an easy abstraction that people throw around without thinking through the consequences.

Maybe. But I give you the Op-Ed page of our capital city's main newspaper, which tells us:

Robert Durst, Star Of A Documentary On Unsolved Crimes, Was Arrested

Durst was released in 2003 after admitting he had dismembered a neighbor for ‘self-defense’.
Robert Durst, the heir to a fortune in real estate in New York and starred in a documentary on unsolved crimes, was arrested Saturday night in New Orleans as part of an investigation that takes place in Los Angeles.

The arrest comes as authorities interviewing new witnesses the murder of Susan Berman, who was a friend of Durst.

The following is my high school teaching assignment for Advanced Placement Macroeconomics students (available as extra credit for other classes) on how money is created. I offer this for non-profit use; divided into seven sections:

Instructions (1 of 7)
Contextual orientation: seeing the past as clearly as possible (2 of 7)
Money and bank credit (3 of 7)
Fractional reserve banking (4 of 7)
Debt (public, private) and money supply (5 of 7)

2. Money and bank credit

There are five topics to understand for civic competence in creating and managing money. The first four are standard to economics curriculum; the last is rational analysis:

Money and bank credit.
Fractional reserve banking.
Debt (public, private) and money supply.

Washington Post BEX - War with Iran is probably our best option

The logical flaw in the indictment of a looming “very bad” nuclear deal with Iran that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered before Congress this month was his claim that we could secure a “good deal” by calling Iran’s bluff and imposing tougher sanctions. The Iranian regime that Netanyahu described so vividly — violent, rapacious, devious and redolent with hatred for Israel and the United States — is bound to continue its quest for nuclear weapons by refusing any “good deal” or by cheating.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay, Mr. Muravchik, if you really feel that way about it... Here's your rifle. Here's your parachute. We ran out of the desert camo but here's a bright da-glo orange jumpsuit from the CIA's torture centers. Watch your head climbing into that transport aircraft, and we will call Tehran and tell them you are on your way to kick their butts all by yourself.

But We The People remember the lies about stolen incubators that tricked us into the first invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember the lies about Saddam's nuclear weapons that tricked us into the second invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember how only a year ago you tried to trick us into war with Syria with more lies about poison gas.

We The People remember how there weren't really torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin or a Spanish mine in Havana Harbor, but how there really WERE weapons on board the Lusitania.

In short, We The People remember all the lies, frauds, and deceptions used to trick us into wars of conquest, to send our young people out to die in wars created out of thin air by and for the money-junkies. I think it is time that we have a new rule in America; that those who want war are the first to the front lines. You are all splendidly brave with the lives of other peoples' children. Let's see the true measure of your courage and commitment to war.

You first!

And just to keep you honest, please recall that Iran has not initiated a war of conquest against another nation in over 200 years; a sharp contrast to the US and Israel, which these days cannot seem to go two months without invading, drone-striking, or overthrowing someone else's nation!

Surveillance photos retrace footsteps of Boston Marathon bombers

BOSTON — Using high-tech surveillance videos and photos, prosecutors in the Boston Marathon trial on Monday played an FBI montage that showed the determined footsteps of the Tsarnaev brothers weaving through cheering crowds and igniting two pressure-cooker bombs in one of the worst terror attacks in U.S. history.

The images, most never seen before, were culled from tens of thousands of images the FBI collected after the April 2013 blasts. They soon zeroed in on more than 70 images showing Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his older brother, Tamerlan, each wearing a dark jacket and black backpack, nonchalantly walking through the crowds.

No such threat existed. But today a very real threat exists over all American cities, and the national security advisor does not notice.

Blitzer’s program is part of the orchestrated propaganda campaign whose purpose is to prepare Americans for conflict with Russia.

. . . Does this mean that our only option is war? Yes, although an air campaign targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure would entail less need for boots on the ground than the war Obama is waging against the Islamic State, which poses far smaller a threat than Iran does.

The American Story Is A Mystery Only to Economists

Here’s what Bloomberg’s Craig Torres and Michelle Jamrisko write: “American Mystery Story: Consumers Aren’t Spending Even In a Booming Job Market”. Yes, it is a great mystery to 95% of journalists and economists. Because they have never learned to even contemplate that perhaps people can be so deep in debt that they have nothing left to spend. Instead, their knowledge base states that if people don’t spend, they must be saving. Those are the sole two options. And so if the US government reports that 863,000 underpaid new waiters have been hired, these waiters have to go out and spend all that underpayment, they must consume. And if they don’t, that becomes The American Mystery Story.

For me, the mystery lies elsewhere. I’m wondering how it ever got to this. How did the capacity for critical thinking disappear from the field of economics? And from journalism?

The New York Times War on Truth Revisited

When America goes to war or plans one, Times editors march in lockstep. Rule of law principles are ignored. So does human suffering.

US installed Ukrainian Nazis are called democrats. Russia and Donbass freedom fighters are blamed for their high crimes.

Mob rule governance is considered legitimate. Police state repression, massive corruption and naked aggression on its own citizens are airbrushed from Times reports.

Hollywood War Films, An Instrument of Military Indoctrination: The “American Sniper” Reviewers’ Consensus

Caligula’s Horse By Eric Margolis

snip: Adelson, who has reportedly called for nuking Iran, is also Bibi Netanyahu’s primary political and financial sponsor. So Adelson can say he owns the US Congress and Israel. Some Israelis, who will vote next week in a very tight election, are uneasy that Netanyahu is “owned” by the American gambling mogul Adelson. Is this the Zionist dream of a state built on morality, social fairness, and honesty?

Democrats are now largely owned by Israeli-American billionaire Haim Saban who calls himself somewhere to the right of the late Ariel Sharon. Saban, a media mogul, recently gave $5-10 million to the Clinton Library and is Hillary’s principal backer.

Bibi’s visit to Congress was clearly intended as pre-election political grandstanding. Marketing fear of Islam, Iran, ISIS, Hezbollah, Syria, al-Shebab and Boko Haram are now the stock in trade for embattled politicians in Israel, Canada, Australia and France.

US Accuses Iraqi Military Of War Crimes, Continues To Support ISIS

Brandon Turbeville
Activist Post

With the recent and largely successful battle for Tikrit conducted by the Iraqi security forces combating Western-backed ISIS fighters who have controlled the city for some time, Iraq has once again forced itself into the brief headlines of international media. Yet the subsequent claims of war crimes committed by these security forces have also found their way into the public discussion, most notably in the West.

Thus, there are a number of questions that surround the events on the ground and the manner in which they are being reported in the West that must be looked at closely in order to fully understand the events that are transpiring...

Probe launched into Fox News analyst’s ‘kill Russians’ comment

Russia’s top federal law enforcement agency has opened a criminal probe into the statement by a retired US Army general, who suggested that the Ukrainian crisis could be settled by “killing Russians.”

The criminal case was started against Robert H. Scales on charges of public calls for starting an aggressive war made in the media, the chief spokesman for the Investigative Committee, Vladimir Markin, told reporters Thursday. Under the Russian Criminal Code this crime can carry up to five years in prison.

According to the Investigative Committee, Scales’s statement also violated article 20 of the United Nations’ International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which bans any propaganda of war and instigation of discrimination, hatred or violence.

The statement was made on the US TV network Fox News on Wednesday.

Latest Mystery: Why Consumers Aren't Spending

American Mystery Story: Consumers Aren't Spending Even In a Booming Job Market ... It's an American mystery story: More people have jobs and extra pocket money from lower gas prices, but they aren't buying as much as economists expected. – Bloomberg

Dominant Social Theme: Happy days are here again. People don't understand it yet.

Free-Market Analysis: Is it really a mystery why people aren't spending? The numbers that the mainstream media uses are "cooked" and thus the conclusions that can be drawn from those numbers are faulty as well.

For Bloomberg editorialists the idea that their data is faulty never seems to occur. On the other hand, the head of Gallup recently stated that the employment numbers in the US were far worse than what the government was stating. Perhaps that article didn't get passed around at Bloomberg's editorial desk.

Qatar/West Says Public Statement By Al-Nusra Will Wipe Away Jihadist Sins

Brandon Turbeville
Activist Post

Since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in late 2010, I have been writing repeatedly that there are no “moderate rebels” in Syria. Many other credible researchers and even mainstream news organizations, albeit significantly after the fact, have made similar statements in their own writings. In fact, I have even gone so far as to suggest that, if such a thing as a moderate rebel in Syria actually exists, then he must be brought forward for analysis.

After all, such a rare and mysterious being must be thoroughly studied so as to determine if he is a freak of nature or if there are more than just one of him.

Apparently, however, neither myself nor the other researchers mentioned above ever fully understood the process in which one becomes an alleged “rebel” and/or a moderate one...

Nuland’s Mastery of Ukraine Propaganda

So, did Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland mislead Congress or just play a propaganda game, asks Robert Parry.

An early skill learned by Official Washington’s neoconservatives, when they were cutting their teeth inside the U.S. government in the 1980s, was how to frame their arguments in the most propagandistic way, so anyone who dared to disagree with any aspect of the presentation seemed unpatriotic or crazy.

During my years at The Associated Press and Newsweek, I dealt with a number of now prominent neocons who were just starting out and mastering these techniques at the knee of top CIA psychological warfare specialist Walter Raymond Jr., who had been transferred to President Ronald Reagan’s National Security Council staff where Raymond oversaw inter-agency task forces that pushed Reagan’s hard-line agenda in Central America and elsewhere.

Saving World Heritage – the West’s New R2P Pretext

The ideological arsenal of pretexts for US military interventions are depleted, redundant, spent or thoroughly disgraced.

Is the defence of world heritage sites in Iraq the new «responsibility to protect» (R2P) doctrine to justify Western intervention in the geo-strategically important region? The timing coincides with renewed admonitions from the United States and Saudi Arabia for a coalition of ground forces to defeat the Islamic State network in Iraq and Syria – and just when Iraqi and Syrian forces appear to be decisively pushing back the extremists in both countries.

The US and its Western allies have long used the doctrine of «responsibility to protect» or «R2P» as a flimsy pretext for military intervention. They found success with various tropes, including the «War on Terror», the elimination of «weapons of mass destruction», and the Responsibility to Protect» human rights.

The Israeli case has to be prioritized because Israel and its Zionist allies have bought and bullied our own government and political parties in a corrupting manner.

Truthinesslessnesws

Nothing is stable, nothing is straightforward, everything is fixed, and nothing is fixed. O nation of busboys and WalMart greeters, awake and sing!

Can an empire founder on sheer credulousness? After last Friday’s jobs report, I think so. For a culture that luxuriates in statistical analysis (and the false idea that if you measure enough things, you can control them), it is rather amazing that we absolutely don’t care whether the measurements are truthful or not. Hence, an economist (sic) such as Paul Krugman of The New York Times might ask himself how it is that Zero Interest Rate Policy only trickles down to places where hamburgers are sold. PK was at it again in his Monday column, yammering about “rapid job growth,” “partying like it was 1995.” Wise men like him are pounding this country down a rat hole faster than you can say Romulus Augustulus.

Apparently the US Bureau of Labor Statistics missed the job bloodbath in the oil industry, especially over in Frackville where the latest western phenomenon is the ghost man-camp (along with ghost pole dancing parlors)......

The Age of Cartels

These days, it is painfully obvious to most anyone that America has been taken over by Corporations. From food, energy, medicine, entertainment, banking and so on, we are truly, as our guest G. Edward Griffin stated during his interview on The Liberty Brothers Radio Show, living in The Age of Cartels.

The sinister treatment of dissent at the BBC

The scandal is simply this: the BBC is forcing out or demoting the journalists who exposed Jimmy Savile as a voracious abuser of girls.

Official Washington’s Delusions on Delusions

Official Washington operates in its own bubble of self-delusion in which the stars of U.S. politics, policy and media don’t realize how the rest of the world sees their sociopathic behavior. This craziness is now reaching a crisis point on Iran and Russia.

Israel lobby's fingerprints are all over Republican letter to Iran, but the media won't talk about it

Senator Tom Cotton who spearheaded letter to Iran received his biggest campaign contributions from far outside his home state of Arkansas. That doesn’t include the nearly one-million-dollar contribution in supportive political advertising made by Bill Kristol’s Emergency Committee for Israel in the closing days of Cotton’s Senate campaign.

'Start Killing Russians': Outrageous Outburst by Fox News Military Analyst

A retired US major general thinks an American intervention in Ukraine should involve the spilling of Russian blood.

Laura Ingraham calls for Obama impeachment

Conservative radio rock star Laura Ingraham had some harsh words for President Obama over his emerging nuclear deal with Tehran, saying the White House leader was taking matters way too far into his own hands and that Congress ought to consider stepping in and stopping him – and even impeaching him.

She made the fiery remarks during an “On the Record” interview with Greta Van Susteren on Fox News.

Unbelievable propaganda from Fox: It's time to start 'killing Russians' - WTF?

A military analyst has told Fox News that the only way to turn the tide in conflict in Eastern Ukraine is to “start killing Russians.” The former general alleged there are 12,000 Russian regular troops currently “camped” on Ukrainian territory.

MailOnline lies about anti-Semitism

Power flows from victimhood but what do you do when there is not enough victimhood to go around? You have to manufacture it wholesale. That is the problem with anti-Semitism — demand always exceeds supply. So a certain sleight of hand is needed to make up the shortfall. First you need a stunt to create the necessary conditions. Then you need to employ deceit in its presentation. Finally you will need a suitably compliant media vehicle.

How the Public Are Deceived by the ‘News’

If the public is systematically lied-to by the Government and by a virtually uniformly cooperative press suppressing key facts in order to pump that lie, such as was the case during 2002 and 2003 in the lead-up to America’s invasion of Iraq, then there can’t possibly be an authentic democracy, because democracy is founded upon a truthfully informed public, and so any ‘news’ institution that violates its solemn public trust of reporting the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, is traitorous to democracy itself.

BBC Still Determined To Cover-up the Legacy of Monster Jimmy Savile

No surprise here. Even with its billion pound budget and bottomless bevy of six-figure executive ‘managers’, BBC is unable to criticize itself over the horrific Jimmy Savile scandal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But they are going to slap Jeremy Clarkson around to show how butch they are!

Popular Columnist Andrew Bolt With More Political Flatulance

As usual, popular right wing Murdoch-press-patsy Andrew Bolt – deflects us from the facts. In his recent article,”Silence Fails In The Face Of Evil”, he prosecutes the Australian Greens, gay and lesbian organisations, Julian Burnside QC, Muslim leaders, Labor and others – for not enough condemnation of ISIS and it’s recent destruction of the ancient Assyrian city of Nimrud.

We all know and agree that ISIS is a new brand of terror and destruction. But Andrew, what did you say when Prime Minister John Howard followed Blair and Bush into the most egregious war in modern history – all based on fraudulent Intel and motivations. During the occupation 1,455,590 Iraqis were killed, and war crimes of the worst kind were committed by the West (and by all sides).

Here are the worst things Fox News has ever done

Fox News has been named the most trusted network in the US.

While host Bill O’Reilly says any attacks on the news channel are just part of a “liberal media conspiracy”, we’ll just let you decide how trustworthy the network is yourself.

Here are some of the ridiculous things the channel has done… recently.

It has a full backlit keyboard whose keys have a proprietary technology company to optimize space without losing precision. It is accompanied by a renewed trackpad, which has a Force Touch technology that differentiates various actions based on pressure exerted by the user.

The BBC’s Climate Change Coverage Is Not Just Dishonest but Illegal

First section: this attempted to make a big deal of the fact that the world has warmed by around 0.85 degrees since 1880. But as Booker notes, this isn’t really the issue of contention.

What she left out was that there has been nothing unprecedented about our recent warming. As the world has generally warmed since emerging from the Little Ice Age 200 years ago, two earlier warming phases from natural causes, between 1860 and 1880 and from 1910 to 1940, were just as great as that of the last 30 years – before CO2 levels rose as they have done recently.

Second section: this sought to tell us that just as we can use models accurately to predict the future performance of premier league football clubs, so too we can rely on them to predict climate.

What he omitted to explain was that, in the past 17 years, the IPCC’s computer model predictions have turned out to be comprehensively wrong.

Brother of 9/11 victim goes to court with the BBC over alleged cover up

On 23rd March Matt Campbell of Sussex, United Kingdom, will go to court against the BBC and will claim that the BBC is in violation of UK anti-terrorist legislation in the way that they have covered up evidence relating to 9/11 and evidence relating to the murder of his brother Geoff. Geoff Campbell was killed while inside the North Tower of the World Trade Centre on September 11th, 2001. Mr Campbell will claim that he has reasonable cause to believe that the BBC has been wilfully complicit in the deliberate cover up of vital and incontrovertible evidence relating to how his brother Geoff was killed and that as such the BBC is guilty of complicity with terrorism.
