The Amazing Debate - Prezbyter & James Randi on 9-11

Hi James:

I'm a little troubled by the number of 'skeptics' who are skeptical of everything except what is promoted as the conventional wisdom. A simple test for me is does the person or group making a claim have a history of dishonesty. Are they liars?

The Bush/Cheney administration claimed that Iraq was involved in the crimes of 9/11. Repeatedly. This has been proven to be a lie, among many other lies by those guys. Lies that profited them and their associates. They referred to 9/11 as an 'opportunity'. It was a crime most egregious. If they lied about the involvement of one nation/collective, then how I wonder does a skeptic believe what they said about the involvement of another nation/collective?

By eschewing real skepticism.

The belief in lies is the encouragement of liars.
Do they really need more?

Your debate with James Randi really is amazing. I will read it again and again. Not because of his participation, but because of the information that you have provided, and the manner in which you have provided it.

You are very patient. Randi seems to be like many others, they require much effort to be shown what to many of us is evident truth, and still will not accept it.

I have given up on such people and attribute their stance to impaired or diminshed conscience. Many are just willful in their blindness.

It is simple evidence that requires little knowledge to understand. Just some research. Yet they behave as if you are trying to explain "Prior Analytics" or Newton's "Optics." The truth is not difficult to see and understand unless you have a bias.

Money lost, little lost. Honor lost, much lost. Heart lost, all lost. Inscribed on ancient cup found in Scotland.

A Gratifying Response

Thank you for not only wading through our lengthy back and forth but especially for your comments. As we who can see with eyes not clouded by predisposition engage those who cannot or will not, it behooves us to be thoughtful and considerate to our detractors. They are but people as troubled by our present course as we are, but perhaps less able to face such distressing reality. For the most part, they are not the enemy, merely pummeled by them into a level of submission. Each time we respond to hysteria, or fear based rage with reason and equanimity we draw them closer to seeing what we see and farther from those who can only rule through fear. Your acknowledgment is greatly appreciated.
