Putin sees sanctions as stimulus for Russian economy

Russian President Vladimir Putin says his country can use Western sanctions to boost economic development by becoming more self-reliant.

Mr Putin said he had told business leaders that he did not expect EU-US sanctions - imposed over Russia's actions in Ukraine - to be lifted soon.

"We need to use the situation to reach a new level of development," he said.

Michelle Bachmann: Obama's poor relationship with Israel will bring the return of Jesus

Oh! Lord! Sorry.

Former Republican congresswoman Michele Bachmann stated that President Barack Obama’s handling of the Iranian nuclear deal is a symbol of the coming of the end of times and the “imminent” return of Jesus Christ, during a recent radio interview.

Bachmann explained that if Obama and the United States turn their back on Israel, this would bring severe “curses” upon the United States, similar to those seen in the end of days.

Did Money Seal Israeli-Saudi Alliance?

For more than half a century, Saudi Arabia has tried to use its vast oil wealth to build a lobby in the United States that could rival the imposing Israel Lobby. At top dollar, the Saudis hired law firms and PR specialists – and exploited personal connections to powerful families like the Bushes – but the Saudis never could build the kind of grassroots political organization that has given Israel and its American backers such extraordinary clout.

Geopolitical Ramifications of US-Saudi Armed Interventionism in Yemen

The Houthi rebellion in Yemen that was already in existence more than five years ago had recently turned into a full-blown conflict that escalated into an international crisis in the first week of April of 2015 when Houthi rebels in Yemen deposed President Abed Rabou Mansur Hadi, throwing him out of the helm of Yemeni government. Hadi fled to Saudi Arabia while the Houthis effectively captured the capital Sana’a. Thereafter, Saudi Arabia, has initiated massive aerial bombings against the de facto Houthi government in Sana’a and in various strategic areas of Yemen that are now being occupied by the Houthi militia.

The Making of Hillary Clinton - Secrecy, Intransigence and War

Hillary Clinton’s propensity for overkill earned her and Bill the enmity of people capable of inflicting serious damage, as the Whitewater and Cattle Futures scandals duly attested. 9/11 was ‘mother of all false flag attacks’: US scholar

The September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States have been covered-up by the FBI and senior US officials because it was the “mother of all false flag” operations, an American scholar in Wisconsin says.

“If people start looking hard at 9/11, the whole story is going to unravel and its going to be exposed as the mother of all false flag attacks and the most spectacular act of deception in human history and the FBI has been charged with covering it up,” said Dr. Kevin Barrett, a founding member of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance.

The 9/11 attacks were designed to deceive in such a way that the operations appear as though they were carried out by Saudi Arabia, whereas senior US officials directly participated in the operation, Barrett told Press TV on Tuesday.

The so-called al-Qaeda terrorists who allegedly hijacked four planes and crashed them on September 11 were just “patsies who were falsely blamed for 9/11, they were set-up,” Dr. Barrett noted.

RELIGIOUS FANATICISM IS A HUGE FACTOR IN AMERICANS’ SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL

Almost half of all Americans want to support Israel even if its interests diverge from the interests of their own country. Only a minority of Americans (47 percent) say that their country should pursue their own interests over supporting Israel’s when the two choices collide. It’s the ultimate violation of George Washington’s 1796 Farewell Address warning that “nothing is more essential than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded. … The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness is in some degree a slave.”

BEX Alert!!! - "Defying death in the Holocaust for a sister"

Suzanna Braun, who experienced the horrors of the Holocaust and defied death at least three times, believes she survived because of her determination to save her sister -- and some divine intervention.

The first time she beat death was sheer luck.

Suzanna was just two weeks shy of 16 when she, her sister Agi and her parents were rounded up in their hometown of Kosice, in what is now Slovakia, and sent to the Polish death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. . .

. . . Locked behind a steel door with soap in their hands, some women waited for water. Others, who had heard the rumours, began panicking.

It was only when the doors opened they realised they had cheated death.

"They were out of gas," she told AFP in an interview as Israel began marking Holocaust memorial day and 70 years since the end of the war.

Why Is WalMart Mysteriously Shuttering Stores Nationwide For "Plumbing Issues"?

If that doesn’t turn out to be enough in the face of an economy which isn’t really recovering and in which low-income shoppers are constrained by lackluster (and by that we mean nonexistent) wage growth, some sacrifices may have to be made. The problem is that laying people off and shuttering stores two months after a celebrated wage hike initiative doesn’t inspire much confidence and could turn into a PR issue, but one thing you could do is get creative, and while we’re not plumbers, we do find it curious that five geographically distinct WalMart stores have been closed in the past week for “ongoing plumbing issues that will require extensive repairs.”

It’s Not The Weather: Industrial Production Is Rolling Over, Yet The Fed Is Clueless About Its Own Index

Another day of “incoming data” and still more evidence that this isn’t your father’s business cycle. This time it comes from the Eccles Building itself, but don’t expect the Keynesian money printers domiciled there to recognize that the industrial production report they issued today constitutes yet another rebuke to their entire macro model.

The March index slipped badly (0.6%) and thereby predictably elicited a “do not be troubled” assurance from the talking heads. It was just aberrant weather again. Well, that’s actually right. March was so much warmer than February that the utility component of the index plunged by 5.9%.

Indeed, as another branch of the Fed revealed a few days ago, March was actually warmer than normal for the month. Presumably this means the punk economic data for March can’t be explained by winterish weather—-since it is the very opposite condition which explains last month’s steep drop in utility production.

Ukraine’s army starts shelling volunteer battalions near Dzerzhinsk — DPR Defense Ministry

Ukraine’s armed forces are shelling volunteer battalions not controlled by Kiev on the outskirts of the city of Dzerzhinsk, the Donetsk Region, the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Defense Ministry said Wednesday.

Maybe Israel, instead of constantly blaming Christians or Muslims for their hardships, ought to look in a mirror at how they themselves behave.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The film "War Games" is based on an actual event where an attack simulation was accidentally fed into the computers at Cheyenne Mountain and almost resulted in a launch against Russia.

The Ascent of Hillary, the $.2.5 Billion “People’s” Candidate

Hillary Clinton just announced that she’s running for president. However, this commentary is not really about her. It’s about a nation of more than 300 million people in which politics has become the sole property and domain of the rich. The rich decided some time ago that Hillary Clinton would be the virtually unchallenged presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. The 48 percent of Americans that express an affinity with the Democratic Party have not yet chosen Clinton. There has been no primary election in any state. But, that does not matter because the selection process that counts occurs in the boardrooms and mansions and private clubs and getaways of the rich. Hillary Clinton and her husband, Bill, have spent virtually their entire adult lives on the millionaires’ campaign circuit, the rich man’s primary. In the process of pleasing the rich, they have become rich, themselves.

Russia bashers eat crow as Putin wins Time Magazine poll

Vladimir Putin steals the show in TIME 100 reader’s poll

Western media did their best to hide Putin’s stratospheric popularity in their assigned propaganda task of demonizing Russia and Putin over the Ukrainian Western coup , replacing the Iran nuclear weapons threat hoax with the new Russian Bear threat one.

The biggest threat to our national security comes from treasonous cliques within our own ranks and their recent marriage over that last decade into the international corporate crime syndicates.

We are not really biased here at VT. It is just a simple observation to us… it is Putin and Lavrov all the way. No one can touch them and they own this piece of history, something that the spinmeisters cannot lay a glove on.

In other words, the alternative news sources are often doing the proper job of journalism that is neglected by Western mainstream media who seem to be preoccupied with advancing the political objectives of their governments – no matter how unethical those objectives are.

Islamophobia, like all phobias, is based not on ignorance but on false beliefs

Reza Aslan provides crucial insight on the source and cause of widespread islamophobia in the US and around the world and the best way to counter it.

[I]t’s easy to assume Americans harbor an anti-Muslim sentiment because of the September 11 attacks. As Aslan explains that’s not exactly the case, because there’s been a rise in Islamophobia since 2001. “The further we got away from 9/11, the higher the anti-Muslim sentiment grew, so something else must be going on – there must be another reason,” Aslan explained.

That reason is not just ignorance, he says.5-16-His-Religion-Relevant-

[It] comes down to consistent and biased anti-Muslim messages that trickle down and become talking points for the media, and politicians during election season. “All of this becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy,” Aslan said.

“I did acknowledge the incident in Maryland last night,” responded U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, who has appealed for $478 billion in additional transportation funding. “There’s no excuse for that in America.”

Putin's £3.5billion race to make it to space: First pictures inside huge Siberian cosmodrome from where Russia hopes to beat the US to Mars

These half-finished buildings on the edge of Siberia may appear to be nothing special at the moment.

For Putin's pet project is designed to put Russia head and shoulders ahead of America - the launch pad from where Moscow hopes to establish a colony on the Moon and stage the first manned missions to Mars.

Look How Far Bloomberg Is Taking the Propaganda Against Kroger Grocery Stores for Not Banning Guns

You've got to watch this new anti-gun, anti-Kroger ad.

This propaganda is part of these groups’ first ever six-figure ad campaign. SIX figures to get Kroger to stop allowing people to open carry in its stores. When Kroger did not respond to the ads the way the lobbies wanted Kroger to, the groups rallied outside Kroger corporate headquarters. They have also launched a website for people to enter grocery amounts spent at competitors to prove to Kroger that its pro-gun stance is losing money.

Let’s stop for a second and think about this rationally (in a way not driven by billionaires who use their money to buy millions in propaganda to disarm the population): how many stories come out in the news about mass shootings at a Kroger grocery store anyway? And because of lawful gun owners?

NY Times: Would You Let The IRS Prepare Your Taxes?

Around this time every year, Joseph Bankman, a professor of tax law at Stanford Law School and a longtime advocate of using technology to simplify tax filing, gets on the phone with reporters to explain what is wrong with how we do our taxes in the United States. Every year he says pretty much the same thing: No other industrialized country asks its citizens to jump through as many hoops to calculate their taxes as ours.

It isn’t just lawmakers or the hapless-seeming Internal Revenue Service that is perpetuating the annoyance of tax time, he adds. Instead it is the private sector — specifically, the software company Intuit, which makes TurboTax, the most popular tax program in the country.

For more than a decade, Mr. Bankman and a small group of tax experts have called on the government to create a tax preparation method that they say would vastly reduce the time and cost of tax-filing for most people. Intuit has been a primary obstacle to the effort.

A Reckless Act in the Senate on Iran

Congress has formally muscled its way into President Obama’s negotiations with Iran, creating new and potentially dangerous uncertainties for an agreement that offers the best chance of restraining that country’s nuclear program.

With a unanimous vote on Tuesday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a bill that would require Congress to review, and then vote on, the final text of a nuclear deal. It would also prohibit Mr. Obama from waiving economic sanctions on Iran — the crucial element of any agreement under which Iran rolls back its nuclear program — for at least 30 days, and up to 52 days, after signing an agreement so Congress has time to weigh in.

The full Senate and the House will have to approve the bill. But the committee’s action gives momentum to those who have bitterly criticized Mr. Obama for negotiating with Iran, though they offer no credible alternative to the preliminary deal on the table.

I am relinking it here not so much as to say "I told you so", but to point out that the long term economic future of the United States was obvious, or should have been obvious, to the people who are awarded lofty degrees and paid huge salaries to comprehend such things. Instead, the economists persisted in explaining away the visible signs of gathering troubles and earned their salaries by justifying why the policies that robbed the poor to give to the rich should continue unabated.

Galice Miners Will Do Battle With Bureau Of Land Management

BLM recently (3/18/15) issued two Stop Orders on a mine, citing authority under their 3809 regulations, despite the fact that this is one of the oldest active claims in the country. The location date of this mine is so old that one of the location notices (the legal title to the mine) was actually first recorded in the original Galice Mining District Recorder’s book in 1876 and then later transcribed into the Josephine County Clerk’s records once the county assumed recording duties. Under the 1955 Surface Resources Act, claims of this age have exclusive surface rights unless the Department of Interior utilized a mechanism outlined in that Act to severe those surface rights. Demands to BLM to produce evidence of their surface authority in accordance to the 1955 Act have thus far garnered only “because we say so” answers and numerous stonewalling tactics. The Stop Orders came after several months of back and forth maneuvering from both sides, and are clearly retaliatory in nature.

Russian-Iranian Cooperation In The Creation Of New Regional Security Systems

It is quite obvious that Russia cannot substitute the West and in particular European countries with someone else. Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) holds a special place amongst countries friendly to the Russian government, and strategic dialogue is being actively developed with it.

Marco Rubio and AIPAC allied in effort to insert poison pill into Iran deal

Marco Rubio just announced for president in a call to donors. First things first.

Rubio has his foreign-policy priorities down, too. He wants to insert a poison pill into the Iran deal:

Sen. Marco Rubio wants to make Iran recognize Israel’s right to exist as a condition of any nuclear agreement with Tehran.

The Florida Republican has floated his proposal as a possible amendment to a Senate bill written by Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) that would allow Congress to disapprove of any deal…

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran's deal is not with the US Government, it is with the international community. Congress has no authority over that community or the United Nations, which organized the P5+1. Congress, willing to allow the President to start wars and murder people on his own whims, is suddenly demanding oversight on a peace agreement, with the clear Israel-ordered agenda of killing the deal. But Congress can only kill the deal for the US, not the other nations. If the rest of the P5+1 agree to the deal, with the Congress being the lone holdout, the world will see the US as the rogue nation, acting once again as Israel's slave-state to start and fight Israel's wars.

Schizophrenics in the GMO labeling movement

Now that the World Health Organization has just called Roundup a probable carcinogen, people in the natural health movement and other sane folk are issuing calls for a ban on the Monsanto herbicide.

Why?

Why not, kindly and gently and softly and weakly, insist that all food containing Roundup must be labeled, so the consumer can decide whether he wants to ingest this poison?

Isn’t that what the labeling movement has done with GMOs?

Confused? You should be.

Let’s see. Roundup is a danger, so ban it. GMOs are a danger, so label them.

Want to go deeper? Monsanto engineers food crops by inserting GMOs that specifically allow these crops to survive the spraying of toxic Roundup. Right? So label the GMOs but ban the Roundup.

Figure that one out.

The Criminalization of Cash

Of course, there are many reasons presented as to why we need to transition into a cashless society. Cash is so, like, 20th century.

There is another aspect to keep in mind.

When cash is in your pocket, it is not available to the banks to use in calculating their required cash reserves. When you use plastic, the funds move from one banking computer to another banking computer instantly, and is still available to the system as a whole to meet their reserve requirements.

There is over a trillion dollars in cash in circulation. Trapping it inside the banking system gives them more room to play around in and delay the coming crash!

Misoprostol can be used to induce abortion, which is why it would be effective after a miscarriage. Many of the details surrounding Israel’s nuclear story have already been revealed through research and via the declassification of secret information [first by author Stephen Green’s books], including information released by the U.S. government – but there was more to be mined. Nuclear history researchers Avner Cohen, and Bill Burr are releasing a new trove of old documents this week on the Website of the National Security Archive of George Washington University in Washington, providing new angles on the story. It actually is a long process to unwind false information and false knowledge that has been deeply embedded into the human mind. Humans have been used and abused since the beginning of time, by other humans whose motives in life are less than altruistic.

Edmundson, MO– While police and their supporters continue to insist that police are out there keeping our streets safe, an internal document sent from the Edmundson Mayor John Gwaltney implies otherwise.
