Soldier silenced for testimony in Afghan killings probe

First, Justin Stoner blew the whistle on his platoon. Now, the Army apparently wants to silence him.

In photos obtained by CNN, Stoner sports bruises and abrasions on his back, chest and near his neck -- the marks of a beating inflicted by fellow soldiers as payback for reporting their rampant hashish use, the Army said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

From the time of the Crusades, the world has known what people high on hashish are capable of doing, as they are not inhibited by any moral considerations whatsoever.

In fact, the word "Assassin" comes from originally from the Arabic word "Hashashin" which translates as "trained killer".

It is possible that this is only the tip of the iceberg, in terms of other possible atrocities committed by US troops; if this is how the Afghans perceive all American military, there is absolutely no way the US can ever "win hearts and minds" here
