VIDEO: “Failure to Obey” Documentary on Checkpoint Refusal

According to current federal law, border patrol agents currently have the authority to stop and conduct searches on vessels, trains, aircraft, or other vehicles anywhere within “a reasonable distance from any external boundary of the United States.” This “reasonable distance” is defined as 100 miles from any border, including coastal boundaries.

In this 100-mile zone, the US Border Patrol has claimed certain extra-constitutional powers, such as, claiming the authority to operate inland immigration checkpoints.

THE JEWISH VOICE FOR PEACE IS BEING HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR

JVP’s full embrace of BDS includes endorsing a right of return for Arabs and for descendants of Arabs who fled or who were expelled by Israel’s army in the 1948 war that established the state. That population, most of whom remain stateless refugees, now numbers more than 5.2 million. Israel and its supporters, including even dovish Zionist parties such as Meretz, argue that full implementation of the United Nations resolution calling for their return would render Jews a minority in their own state. It would mean, they say, the end of Zionism.

PRIVATE EMAILS REVEAL EX-CLINTON AIDE’S SECRET SPY NETWORK

Starting weeks before Islamic militants attacked the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya, longtime Clinton family confidante Sidney Blumenthal supplied intelligence to then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gathered by a secret network that included a former CIA clandestine service officer, according to hacked emails from Blumenthal’s account. The emails, which were posted on the internet in 2013, also show that Blumenthal and another close Clinton associate discussed contracting with a retired Army special operations commander to put operatives on the ground near the Libya-Tunisia border while Libya’s civil war raged in 2011.

Ron Paul: How Will the Yemeni Civil War End?

This idea that we can run an Empire with military threats, missiles, and economic sanctions is a fallacy.

The Civil War in Yemen is rapidly expanding. We have been forced to close our embassy and military base located there. It is now clear that Obama’s optimism for fighting terrorism in Yemen was misplaced. It hardly sets a standard for dealing with constant conflict and chaos throughout the Middle East.

So far the various factions that we have supported over the years have been poor choices, as usual.

Hopefully someday our government officials will wake up. The counterinsurgency doctrine that was supposed to be the answer to all our military shortcomings is a total failure.

What Prevented Smart Meter Opt-outs in Pennsylvania?

Catherine J. Frompovich
Activist Post

Back in the summer of 2014, something very calculated apparently happened in the Pennsylvania state legislature that ought to be investigated by the Commonwealth’s Attorney General and the Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission. What happened was a crime against the democratic principles of governance, i.e., deliberately dis-allowing constituents, voters—and citizens in general—to exercise their right of redress and input regarding issues that affect them, their lives, and the safety of their possessions. The particular issue at hand was Opt-out provisions from Smart Meters, which was not originally written into PA Law 129 in 2008, but in committee ‘strong-armed’ into “sine die” by State Representative and Committee Chair, Robert W. Godshall...

US Declassifies Document Revealing Israel’s Nuclear Program

Smith, who heads the Institute for Research: Middle East Policy, reportedly said he thinks this is the first time the US government has officially confirmed that Israel is a nuclear power, a status that Israel has long been widely known to have despite being undeclared.

In a development that has largely been missed by mainstream media, the Pentagon early last month quietly declassified a Department of Defense top-secret document detailing Israel’s nuclear program, a highly covert topic that Israel has never formally announced to avoid a regional nuclear arms race, and which the US until now has respected by remaining silent.

Conference Program to Scrutinize Israel Lobby on April 10 at National Press Club

Conference organizers are the American Educational Trust, publisher of the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, and the Institute for Research: Middle Eastern Policy.

This unprecedented gathering will focus on the Israel lobby in America. How big is it? How fast has it grown? How interconnected are the organizations and individuals? How much revenue does it raise and where does the money go? What are the common objectives of the lobby? What laws apply to lobbying to benefit a foreign government and are they vigorously enforced? Do coordinated campaign contributions cause American policymakers to act more on behalf of Israel than the United States? What fallacies underlie the assertions that U.S. and Israeli interests are the same? What are the Israel lobby’s public and private, short-and-medium-term policy objectives? And what can Americans who do not believe pro-Israel slogans, activities and policy objectives do?

The Roots of Netanyahu’s Electoral Victory: Colonial Expansion and Fascist Ideology

Netanyahu has established the fact that Israel and its people embrace a racist ideology and receive the endorsement of most Western leaders, and mass media and the unconditional support of its overseas fifth column.

There is no question that the majority of Israeli Jewish leaders and parties support Netanyahu’s racist pronouncements and ‘no-state’ solution and joined him in a coalition government. But the larger issue is the positive mass response to Netanyahu’s call to action. Nearly three quarters of the electorate turned out (73%) to elect him. Moreover, Netanyahu has been elected prime minister for four terms: between 1996-99 and more recently 2009-20.

What is more, the opposition has not differed from the Netanyahu coalition regime’s Judeo-centric policies and pronouncements. In other words, ‘racist’ ideology per se is not what drives the Israeli majority to repeatedly support Netanyahu.

Bibi Wins with Racism and Revoked Promise

He won in large part by revoking his earlier pledge to support a Palestinian state, and by using last-hour racist warnings to bring out hard right voters.

Because Netanyahu’s Likud party won the largest number of seats (30) in the new Israeli parliament (120 total), he will play the major role in organizing the next government.

Even liberal Zionist Thomas Friedman had to acknowledge that Netanyahu won with “dirty” politics and the use of “dog-whistle” language. Friedman wrote in his New York Times column that “You cannot win that dirty and just walk away like nothing has happened”.

This Is What It’s Like to Get Pulled over for Expired Tags in Police State USA 2015

My friend and coworker at The Daily Sheeple Lily Dane (who has no criminal record) was terrified tonight after police pulled her over for the high crime of expired tags and it turned into a bullying session that lasted over an hour and that apparently required four cop cars and SIX POLICE.

This video is the story of what happened. I’m sharing it because we live in such an insane police state that something has to change.

As our previous special report exposes, police are using pre-crime algorithms to assign color-coded threat scores to each and every one of us before an officer ever lays eyes on us based upon, among others, our social media and online posts. Is Lily special because of her political views, or is this just the way they treat everyone nowadays simply for driving with expired tags?

240 Years Ago Today

240 years ago, today. Note that this speech occurs a month before Lexington-Concord (19 April, 1775 – the original Patriot’s Day).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me death" sent a simple message to King George III that there was nothing he could do to return the American colonies to the status of slaves. No matter how much treasure and blood Britain spent, they would get nothing in return, making opposition to Independence a costly exercise in futility. But the money-junkies are persistent and King George III sent in the Britich Regulars to put down the rebellion, which ended with General Lord Cornwallis' surrender at Yorktown. Not having learned their lesson, Britain again tried to recolonize America in the war of 1812, launched in response to the US Congress refusing to renew the charter for the First Bank of the United States, and got whipped again. In the end, many got freedom, and sadly many dies, but Britain never did re-enslave the American people to their private central bank. It took a betrayal by our own Congress and President in 1913 to bring us back into the servitude of the private central banks.

Cuba – Between a Rock and a Hard Place

On 17 December 2014, President Obama declared that 55 years of embargo didn’t work in bringing ‘freedom’ to Cuba. He proposed reestablishing diplomatic relations with the southern neighbor. An emotion of joy shook the world, especially Latin America. Raul Castro received wires and calls of congratulations. Cubans cheered “we won, we won!” – The US Congress right wing was not quite ready for this initiative and, indeed, there was no concrete mention of how and when the ‘blockade’ would be lifted.

Two days after Obama’s bold initiative, on 19 December 2015, he went to the Washington Press Club to tell a horde of puppet journalists, conservative politicians and onlookers that soft measures, like reestablishing diplomatic relations with Havana might be more successful in bringing the desired regime change to Cuba than more years of isolation. He couldn’t have been more direct and more honest about his intention. The Cuban Government and whoever else listened didn’t miss the point.

The Iron Law of Oligarchy Returns

The death of Danny Schechter, “the News Dissector,” at age 72 from cancer marks a sad moment for independent journalism. Schechter’s was a strong voice against the empty platitudes and blatant hypocrisies that have come to define modern American media and politics, as he explained in an article last year.

The word “Oligarchy” has finally come home. For years, it was a term only used in connection with those big bad and sleazy Mafioso-type businessmen in Russia. Russia had Oligarchs; we didn’t. That became a big difference between the official narrative of what separated our “land of the free and the home of the brave” from “them” in the post-Soviet period.

Police clash with anti-capitalist protesters in Frankfurt

Banks and supermarkets in Frankfurt announced that they would close early for the day, and the area around the ECB headquarters is only open to local residents and office employees.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Correction: The protesters are not anti-capitalist. They are anti-fascist.

Some definitions.

Capitalism: If you make money you keep it. If you lose money, you are solely responsible for that debt. Freedom means not only the freedom to succeed but the freedom to fail and the responsibility to accept either outcome.

Socialism: If you make money, it is taxed away form you to benefit society. If you lose money society is taxed to cover the losses you you can try again.

Fascism: If you make money you keep it. If you lose money society is taxed to cover the losses you you can try again.

"Austerity", along with QE, TARP, and Bail-ins, tells us which system we are living under!

What’s the Precinct Takeover?

Democratic and Republican Party leaders control virtually every county in the USA and are working against the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

We encourage Liberty fighters to get involved as Precinct Captains/Chairs in their county, in the party of their choice, or as independents. The precinct captains elect county party leaders who endorse the candidates. Change the party leaders, change the lawmakers, and restore the Constitution.

This is how we can take back the nation for Liberty, precinct by precinct, county by county, and state by state.

Kiev Shifts Goalposts as Merkel Skews Wide

Unfortunately, the prognosis is that if Merkel cannot see the glaring truth of the situation by now... then there is not much hope of the chancellor ever coming to a realistic political position on Ukraine...And, grimly, that means the outlook for further conflict is not good.

Kiev President Petro Poroshenko unveiled a new dimension of international sanctions against Russia this week, while being royally entertained by German leaders in Berlin. The oligarch-turned-politician now wants the Western allies of the Kiev regime to boycott the 2018 World Cup Finals to be held in Russia.

Netanyahu’s Victory: Now What President Obama?

Netanyahu's outright rejection of a Palestinian state and his promise to go on building more and more illegal settlements leave Obama without any wriggle room.

“Love him (Netanyahu) or hate him, this is the face of Israel.” That’s how Uriel Heilman concluded an article for the JTA (Jewish Telegraph Agency) on Netanyahu’s election victory after noting that he had shown his true colours by declaring that there would be no Palestinian state while he is in charge. What President Obama now has to decide is whether or not he will allow Netanyahu to remain in charge of American policy for Israel-Palestine.

Netanyahu Unmasks Israel

With the facades gone, Americans must decide if they will embrace this apartheid system or not...

Desperate to win reelection, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stripped off Israel’s mask and exposed the ugliness that has deformed his country over the past several decades. He abandoned the subterfuge of a two-state solution, exposed the crass racism that underlies Israeli politics, and revealed Israel’s blatant control of the U.S. Congress.

For years, U.S. politicians have rejected allegations of Israeli racism and excused mistreatment of the Palestinians as a temporary necessity that would be fixed by a two-state solution. But Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has destroyed those arguments in his panic to keep his job, reports Robert Parry.

Stunning photos of Brazil's massive anti-government protests

President Dilma Rousseff is facing huge protests by Brazilians calling for her impeachment. On Sunday, hundreds of thousands took to the streets across the country; in Sao Paulo alone, police said a million people marched, according to the BBC.

The rallies were in part a protest against a corruption scandal at the state-run oil company Petrobras that is shaping up to be one of the biggest in Brazil's history: police have identified $3.7 billion of suspicious payments. Dozens of Brazilian politicians are under investigation for taking illegal kickbacks from a slush fund. And although President Rousseff has not been implicated directly, many of the politicians under suspicion are members of her party or her coalition partners, and much of the alleged malfeasance took place while she was the minister for energy and chairwoman of Petrobras.

Did Ferguson PD Just Arrest the Wrong Guy?

When two officers with the Ferguson Police Department were shot last week, it was safe to assume that they would eventually get their man, even if it wasn’t really “their man.” For the most part, whenever the life of an authority figure is attempted in such a public way (especially if that attempt was successful), the police will always find someone to arrest. They have to.

They must always maintain the illusion that they have everything under control and that nobody can get away with such a crime. Nothing indicates a lack of control, quite like having a police officer ambushed and shot, so somebody has to pay no matter what.

Anti Police State App 'Sidekik' Features Real-Time Legal Aid

Activist Post

Studies have shown that police are held almost completely unaccountable by the current systems of governmental oversight. Perhaps this is the reason why you are 9 times more likely to be killed by a law enforcement officer than a terrorist. Rather than wait for bloated bureaucracy or corrupt government to save the day, we as activists have to find our own solutions. Technology is one of these solutions. Each citizen needs to become a member of the media and record everything that they see during encounters with the police.

We previously reported on the launch of a smartphone app called Sidekik which required funding to make it as easy as possible for you not only to record the police and upload that recording offsite, but to put you in immediate contact with legal representation to help you navigate the encounter ... in real-time.

We are happy to report that activist efforts have funded Phase 1 of Sidekik. Developers are now prepared to enter Phase 2...

WATCH STATE DEPARTMENT SPOKESWOMAN SQUIRM WHEN ASKED ABOUT U.S. POLICY AGAINST SUPPORTING COUPS

In case you weren’t aware, Venezuelan authorities recently accused the U.S. of attempts to overthrow its government. In a press conference, U.S. State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, vehemently denied such claims and then went ahead and spouted talking points so ridiculous, only a complete ignoramus could believe them. She said:

As a matter of long-standing policy, the United States does not support political transitions by non-constitutional means.
Interesting, because it seems to me that the primary role of U.S. foreign policy throughout my lifetime has been specifically to initiate political transitions by non-constitutional means.

The line was simply too much to bear for some members of the press. One guy in particular, incredulously asked her to elaborate on her definition of “long-standing” in light of the historical reality that the U.S. government has been constantly involving itself in coups all over the world, particularly in Latin America.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government encourages and funds coups and putsches, as it did in Ukraine; therefore, no US government spokesperson has any right to state, with a relatively straight face, that " As a matter of long-standing policy, the United States does not support political transitions by non-constitutional means." because she is lying through her teeth.

Ms. Psaki's statements are yet another unsettling demonstration of the reality that the words "truth" and "The US Government" can never, ever be used in the same sentence anymore.

On Tuesday, March 10, 19 Spanish citizens were rounded up in dawn raids by the Madrid police. They are accused of committing a crime against the Spanish state. That crime? In most countries that have experienced foreclosure epidemics, the eviction of neighbors and local residents is usually a quiet, if not silent, tragedy. Often people don’t realize that their neighbors have gone until hours, days or even weeks have passed. Some may never even notice.

US trust in govt, media at record low - poll

Americans are less confident in the government than ever before and consider it a bigger problem than the economy and unemployment, according to a comprehensive social survey for 2014 and a just-released Gallup poll.

Only 10 percent of Americans consider the nation's job situation to be the top problem. Eleven percent are most worried about the economy, according to a Gallup poll published Thursday. Meanwhile, 18 percent say the government is the biggest problem the country is facing.

One American's Rage Spills Over: Shut Your Mouth & Start Fighting These Political Parasites

I was shocked today by the absolute gaul of the Fed releasing a statement about Net Worth in America reaching record levels. Now I get that they are under extreme pressure to sell the story that everything is rainbows and butterflies. But surely they understand that working class Americans are going along with the story because they really don’t have any say in our nation’s policies anymore. That doesn’t mean they want it thrown in their faces that the Fed has spent 6 years now inflating the wealth of the top 10% so much that it actually lifts the total wealth of the nation’s citizens to record highs.

Thousands REVOLT In China Against Police Brutality. Cops Beat Woman In Street, Four Officers KILLED By Crowd

With all of the police brutality throughout the United States – especially in the past year – many have wondered if (or when) there might be a breaking point. Yesterday police officers in Ferguson, Missouri were shot by a sniper on a hilltop near the Ferguson Police Department. While denounced by nearly everyone, some – like hip hop musician Method Man of the Wu Tang Clan, described this as a sort of “chickens coming home to roost” situation. In his words, however, he said the police had “reaped what they sowed.”

Authorities Are Still Several Clues To The Perpetrators Of Police In Ferguson

The police chief of St. Louis County, Jon Belmar, gave a press conference.
The investigation into who shot two policemen during a protest in Ferguson remains an open question, given the large number of testimonies and various tracks on aggression.

This Friday, the police chief of St. Louis County, Jon Belmar, revealed that despite dozens of stories that have received so far there have been no direct witnesses of the shooting.

“There have been several tracks since then, I cannot say at this point that an arrest is imminent, no one is in custody,” said Belmar.

There’s Only One Way to Stop a Murderous Government

I’m sure by now, most of you have heard of the infamous Milgram experiment that was conducted in the early 60’s. I’ll save you the details since, if you’re like me, you’ve probably read about it a dozen times or more already. It’s one of most popular experiments to cite, because it says so much about the nature of evil, and the darkest potential of the human spirit; and anyone who understands the dangers posed by government power, could probably describe the experiment from memory.

In short, Milgram provided an answer to the most tragic question in human history. How do so many good people wind up doing horrific things to their fellow-man? How is it that when the Nazis had to answer for their crimes, all they could say for themselves was “I was just following orders.”

White House petition on ‘47 GOP traitors’ draws 260,000 signatures

A petition to the White House demanding treason charges against 47 Republican senators who attempted to sabotage US President Barack Obama's efforts to reach a nuclear accord with Iran has garnered more than 260,000 signatures.

The petition, on whitehouse.gov, was filed on Monday and had 263,312 signatures as of early Friday morning, well above the threshold of 100,000, which requires the White House to respond.

In an unprecedented move on Monday, a group of Republican senators ignored protocol and sent a letter to Iran, warning that whatever agreement reached with Obama would be a “mere executive agreement” that could be revoked “with the stroke of a pen and future Congresses could modify the terms of the agreement at any time.”

Removing Israel from American politics

It is writing such as this, which illustrates and illuminates the extent of Zionist infiltration in the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave," which will drive home to the "American" public what has happened to their "dream, which may eventually stir them to action of some sort to bring it to an end... if anything will!

It is certainly past time to push back against an organization that is brazenly promoting the interests of a foreign government at the expense of the American people.

Shutting Down AIPAC

I would like to concentrate on two issues. First is the nature of the special relationship between Israel and the United States and second is the role of the Israel Lobby and most particularly AIPAC in shaping that relationship.

Nuland’s Mastery of Ukraine Propaganda

So, did Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland mislead Congress or just play a propaganda game, asks Robert Parry.

An early skill learned by Official Washington’s neoconservatives, when they were cutting their teeth inside the U.S. government in the 1980s, was how to frame their arguments in the most propagandistic way, so anyone who dared to disagree with any aspect of the presentation seemed unpatriotic or crazy.

During my years at The Associated Press and Newsweek, I dealt with a number of now prominent neocons who were just starting out and mastering these techniques at the knee of top CIA psychological warfare specialist Walter Raymond Jr., who had been transferred to President Ronald Reagan’s National Security Council staff where Raymond oversaw inter-agency task forces that pushed Reagan’s hard-line agenda in Central America and elsewhere.

Americans seek treason charges against 47 Republican senators

Tens of thousands of Americans have signed a petition to the White House demanding treason charges against 47 Republican senators who attempted to sabotage President Barack Obama's efforts to reach a nuclear accord with Iran.

Over 155,000 people by Wednesday had signed the petition against the senators who they say committed "treasonous" offenses by writing an open to Iran's leaders.

In a bizarre move on Monday, the Republican group ignored protocol and sent a letter to Iran, warning that whatever agreement reached with Obama would be a “mere executive agreement” that could be revoked “with the stroke of a pen and future Congresses could modify the terms of the agreement at any time.”

The White House has announced that it responds to such petitions when they achieve the 100,000-signature target.

Saving World Heritage – the West’s New R2P Pretext

The ideological arsenal of pretexts for US military interventions are depleted, redundant, spent or thoroughly disgraced.

Is the defence of world heritage sites in Iraq the new «responsibility to protect» (R2P) doctrine to justify Western intervention in the geo-strategically important region? The timing coincides with renewed admonitions from the United States and Saudi Arabia for a coalition of ground forces to defeat the Islamic State network in Iraq and Syria – and just when Iraqi and Syrian forces appear to be decisively pushing back the extremists in both countries.

The US and its Western allies have long used the doctrine of «responsibility to protect» or «R2P» as a flimsy pretext for military intervention. They found success with various tropes, including the «War on Terror», the elimination of «weapons of mass destruction», and the Responsibility to Protect» human rights.
