(Big Fat Schocker) Claim: 'Fed Policy Helps Rich Get Richer'

According to some reality-smashing journalism coming out of NBC, the Federal Reserve's policies are creating "economic distortions" that result in transfers of wealth to, you guessed it, the wealthy.

"The global economy is witnessing a massive redistribution of wealth and income with borrowers, equity shareholders and short-term investors benefiting; and savers, bondholders and longer-term investors being placed at risk," wrote Rieder, chief investment officer of BlackRock's Fundamental Fixed Income division and co-head of Americas Fixed Income.

The wealth gap in this country is already the largest it has ever been in recorded history and it just continues to widen. Gee. I wonder why.

Washington Politicizes Football

Washington’s attack on world soccer is following the script of Washington’s attack on the Russian-hosted Sochi Olympics. The difference is that Washington couldn’t stop the Olympics from being held in Sochi, and was limited to scaring off westerners with lies and propaganda. In the current scandal orchestrated by Washington, Washington intends to use its takeover of FIFA to renege on FIFA’s decision that Russia host the next World Cup.

Never Mind FIFA, How about a Crackdown on the Banksters?

The belated focus of American and British authorities on the alleged wrongdoings at FIFA can be readily seen as both ludicrous and laughable when we compare that with the absolute dearth of interest by these same authorities in applying law enforcement where it ought to be applied – on the Wall Street and City of London banksters.

Both the timing of the US-launched corruption probe – in the week of FIFA’s annual conference and leadership election – plus the way that senior American and British officials, not to mention the publicity of Western news media, have weighed-in to rebuke FIFA suggests that it is all part of a coordinated political campaign authored at the highest level of government. That, in turn, suggests that there is an ulterior political agenda behind the supposed criminal crackdown on FIFA, and that the ulterior agenda is the Western objective to undermine Russia.

Boston Terror Suspect Planned to Behead Police Officer, Officials Say

The man shot and killed by an F.B.I. agent and a Boston police officer Tuesday had been under surveillance by terrorism investigators because he was planning to behead a police officer, the authorities say.

The man, Usaama Rahim, 26, was approached by officers outside a CVS pharmacy in the city’s Roslindale neighborhood around 7 a.m. Officials said that after the officers identified themselves, Mr. Rahim confronted them with a large military-style knife and the two officers opened fire.

The Next Epidemic? 1,364 Now Under Quarantine for Novel MERS Virus in South Korea

It has now been confirmed that 30 people in South Korea have contracted MERS, a deadly virus from the same family as SARS, and officials believe that number is going to grow. Two people have died, and another 1,364 people are currently being quarantined. The Korean government has closed down over 230 schools to prevent the infection from spreading.

MERS, which stands for Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus, is a relatively new virus discovered in Saudi Arabia in 2012. According to the CDC, people who contract MERS wind up with a severe and often deadly acute respiratory illness.

Asking the Wrong Questions

Ask better questions and we receive more relevant answers.

What did the politicians know about that scandal? The implication is that major politicians MIGHT be innocent and/or ignorant regarding the events in that scandal. We usually receive an implausible answer to such questions.

A better question is: Does the political opposition have enough clout, information, votes, and money to indict the politician on various criminal charges? Further, does the politician have enough damaging and incriminating evidence against the opposition participants to prevent that indictment?

Pentagon may have sent live anthrax to itself – report

The Defense Department is investigating whether live anthrax was shipped to the Pentagon building, according to CNN. If true, this revelation comes one day after officials disclosed that live anthrax was shipped to three labs in Canada.

The shipment is being tested to see if it contained the live pathogen when it was shipped to the Pentagon’s own police force, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. The police force laboratories are in Virginia. The biological agent was originally meant to be used to help calibrate sensors at the Pentagon that would help detect chemical or biological agents, according to two defense official who spoke to CNN.

The Pentagon did not disclose if the anthrax had ever been brought into the Pentagon building or to areas directly outside the building. The Pentagon has not announced the full scope of the problem to the American people.

Report: Invasive US airport screenings unsuccessful at finding concealed weapons

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents at airports throughout the country failed undercover inspections a staggering 95 percent of the time, according to the findings of an internal Homeland Security Inspector General’s report summarized Monday by ABC News.

So-called “Red Teams” working for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), of which the TSA is a part, posed as passengers at airport security lines and attempted to smuggle in fake weapons. They were successful 67 out of 70 times. In one instance, TSA agents failed to uncover a fake explosive strapped to an inspector’s chest, even after administering a pat-down after the “device” set off metal detectors.

Elon Musk, Stephen Hawking and Bill Gates now repeating the same urgent warnings for humanity first issued by the Independent Media years ago

Elon Musk warns that artificial intelligence may spiral out of control and give rise to self-replicating machines that destroy humanity. Stephen Hawking mirrors the same warning with even more dire language about the future of human civilization and its survival in the universe. Bill Gates warns that a killer flu pandemic could wipe out a substantial portion of the human race, spreading uncontrollably across the planet and causing widespread fatalities.

What do all these dire warnings have in common? They're things that I and many other people have been warning about for years.

“The time has come to air the Voice of Reason,
In a world gone mad, adrift on banal seas,
For all who feel that lies have had their season,
And whose Hearts Cry Out instead for Honesty,
For all the weary souls grown bored with dreaming,
Whose thirst for Beauty and for Knowledge goes unslaked,
For all who want to wake from what is dreaming,
To know what’s Real, and what is Real to embrace.
For all who’ve watched with mounting horror,
Evil’s reign upon this world grow ever-clear,
For all who’ve prayed in vain, Emancipators,
Wielding Swords of Truth and laughing without fear.”

Did Police Lie About the Fatal Shooting of a Florida Man? Sure Looks Like It

On July 31, 2013, 33-year-old Jermaine McBean walked through his Florida apartment complex with an unloaded air rifle propped on his shoulders.

Police shot and killed the man, and now new evidence suggests the officers lied and covered up what really happened.

Sheriff Victor Hill, who is facing misdemeanor charges in connection with the recent shooting of a real estate agent in Gwinnett County, is headed to Israel later this month.

The email also noted that any money Hill earned from the trip would go to pay for the medical bills of Gwenevere McCord who was allegedly shot May 3 by Hill at a model home in Gwinnett. Hill and McCord have said the shooting was an accident. The email did not state how long Hill would be out of the country.

“He had a pre-planned trip. I don’t really sign off on it,” Porter told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Tuesday. “There’s no restrictions on his bond that keeps him from being able to go. I don’t have any say one way or the other.

Scrubbed! Government Removes Recent Vaccine Injury Data from Website

In March, the federal government removed the latest vaccine injury court statistics—more than a year’s worth of data—from one of its publicly reported charts. It was an abrupt departure from the normal practice of updating the figures monthly.

Wiping the latest data means the “adjudication” chart on a government website no longer reflects the recent, sharp rise in court victories for plaintiffs who claimed their children were seriously injured or killed by one or more vaccines.

Since January of 2014, twice as many victims have won court decisions than the previous eight years combined. In these court decisions, a judge ruled the evidence showed vaccines “more likely than not” caused the plaintiff’s injuries.

Also on the rise is the number of vaccine injury cases the government has “conceded”: up 55% in a little over one year.

Washington Blows Itself Up With Its Own Bomb. US Strategy Backfires

These are sad days in Washington and Wall Street. The once unchallenged sole Superpower at the collapse of the Soviet Union some quarter century ago is losing its global influence so rapidly that most would not have predicted anything comparable six months ago. Faulty software install led to Airbus A400M plane crash

Airbus SAS has admitted that a software problem caused its A400M transport plane to crash in an accident that killed four people last month.

Marwan Lahoud, Airbus’ chief strategy officer, said in an interview that the company believes there is no problem with the airplane itself. “The black boxes attest … that there are no structural defects, but we have a serious quality problem in the final assembly,” Lahoud said.

Last year, the U.S. and French governments signed an agreement for France to pay $60 million to those rounded up and deported by the French police collaborating with the Nazis, which would include victims, or their heirs, who immigrated to the United States and other countries and are not yet covered by other French programs.
Note: They were marched to the "death" camps that had hospitals, orchestras, brothels, swimming pools, soccer fields, etc. Get the facts.

What It Means To Grow Up Jewish in Chicago

Growing up Jewish in Chicago means your bar mitzvah was held at a fancy-schmancy Magnificent Mile hotel with an open bar where you and your 12- and 13-year-old friends drank actual cocktails, told dirty jokes and looked out at the view of Lake Michigan while some of your car salesmen cousins shared tips on fleecing customers.
Note: Growing up in suffered beatings, discrimination, bombing, and watching your friends and family killed.

Rick Perry Dumbing Down The Already Absurd GOP Race

Rick Perry is officially unofficially running for president. He may not have announced anything yet, but he has announced that he will make an announcement in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, Perry has been traveling through Iowa – the first stop for any person who wants to be president – meeting with small groups of people and hoping to get a feel for what the American people want to hear from a presidential hopeful. He’s telling them that as governor of Texas, he cut taxes, he put lawsuit liability caps in place, and he cut out regulations so that businesses could run without government interference.

But here’s the problem that Perry has – those aren’t issues that resonate with the American public

Vince Vaughn Has Some Strong Opinions on the Second Amendment

It goes without saying that most members of the Hollywood elite are by and large, completely out of their minds. Even if an actor starts out as humble, down to earth individual, their lifestyle is practically guaranteed to push them away from reality. When you’re paid millions of dollars for pretending to be other people, getting swarmed by crazed fans, having your life turned upside down by a vapid press, and you’re surrounded by yes men who’ll never tell you when you’re wrong, it’s nearly impossible to stay in touch with reality.

But not all actors are empty-headed morons. Vince Vaughn proved as much when he was interviewed by GQ magazine this month. In it, he had some pretty interesting things to say about gun rights and freedom of speech.

Volunteers Threatened with Arrest for Cleaning Up Oil Spill, They Ignored the Cops and Kept Cleaning

For the past several weeks, the Gaviota Coast in California has seen its delicate ecosystem destroyed by an oil spill that poured roughly 100,000 gallons of oil into the ocean. To make matters worse, the volunteers who spontaneously appeared to help clean up the oil, were threatened with arrest by police for tampering with the scene and apparently putting themselves in danger.

The volunteers were the first people on the scene to help, long before the government agents who were hired arrived.

“I was there for about an hour, and we filled 50 five-gallon buckets. Sadly, I must say, there is no way we removed one percent of that spill,” volunteer Ethan Turpin told the Independent.

According to witnesses, the officers had complained that the volunteers did not have safety equipment that was up to code, and they were not cleaning up the spill according to government guidelines. All the while, government or corporate clean-up crews had still not shown up.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I suspect what the police were really doing was preventing the volunteers from putting pictures of the oil disaster on social media!

Egypt is the laughing stock of the world

The coup regime in Egypt continues to insist on making that great country, in all its civilisational and strategic glory, the laughing stock of the world. It has become cursed; cursed with the blood of its innocent citizens flowing in its streets, which were, once upon a time, pure and clean.

Veterans Affairs Gun Lock Program Just ‘Another Obama Back Door Gun Control Measure’

Vets who say the wrong thing at the VA get that info turned over to the FBI… now they want them to tell the VA officials how many guns they have so they can have gun locks sent to their homes? If these officials really just cared about vets having protected guns, they would leave the locks in a location at the VA for people to anonymously grab a few. This is obviously something very, very different.

NOT SO FAST: Lawyer Wants 'Missing' Clinton Emails Subpoenaed – FROM THE NSA.

Original post.

Vast quantities of our electronic papers and effects are indexed and archived under each of our names (but of course they are not "collected," since collected, it seems, means looked at, not intercepted, diverted, or recorded). This is common knowledge, no matter how many times Mitch "the-content-of-calls-are-not-captured" McConnell Jr. says otherwise.

How many of us, as we daily are forced to witness our government merge with the good old dystopian fiction we were supposed to have read in school, as we realized the chilling literal reality of the surveillance state erected around us, have nervously joked about putting all that data to good use for a change?
