Inside 'billionaire summer camp': Tycoon Elon Musk brings wife he's already divorced twice while recently widowed Sheryl Sandberg is accompanied by a friend

The annual summer camp for billionaires kicked off in Sun Valley, Idaho on Tuesday - and attendees were up early for breakfast Wednesday morning.

Elon Musk, 43-year-old CEO of Tesla, led the swarm of moguls, arriving hand-in-hand with his wife, British actress Talulah Riley, 29, after tearing up their second set of divorce papers earlier this year.

Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO, arrived with a female friend, two months after the death of her husband, SurveyMonkey CEO David Goldberg. Last year they attended the conference together.

This year's appearance, wearing a ring on a chain around her neck, comes a day after Sandberg announced she is taking a seat on the board of SurveyMonkey to 'realize' Goldberg's vision.

Others spotted on the walk were Rupert Murdoch and one of his heirs Lachlan and Disney's beloved CEO Bob Iger and his wife Willow Bay. James Murdoch arrived separately with his wife.

US admits it has trained only 60 Syrians to fight ISIL

The US has only trained about 60 Syrian opposition fighters to battle the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), far below expectations, Defence Secretary Ash Carter has told Congress, citing rigorous vetting of recruits.

The programme, which launched in May in Jordan and Turkey, was designed to train as many as 5,400 fighters a year and seen as a test of President Barack Obama's strategy of engaging local partners to combat ISIL fighters.

Clinton Lied About Subpoenas In CNN Interview

Of course, because this is Hillary Clinton we’re talking about, she couldn’t get through even the softest of softball interviews without lying.

“Well, let’s start from the beginning, everything I did was permitted,” Clinton insisted. “There was no law, no regulation, there was nothing that did not give me the full authority to decide how I was going to communicate.”

Perhaps you’ve heard of little things called the Freedom of Information Act and Federal Records Acts? Apparently Hillary Clinton hasn’t. She’s also evidently suffered a convenient attack of amnesia concerning the Obama Administration’s policies about the proper treatment of official correspondence – which is funny, because she was running the show when one of her employees got in hot water for doing the exact same thing. You’d think Keilar would have brought that up, since her network reported on it, but she apparently wasn’t interested in asking Clinton any follow-up questions or pressing her on incorrect statements.

Deadlock in Vienna Nuclear Talks with Iran

Washington obstructionism leaves Iran nuclear talks deadlocked as another deadline approaches for resolving remaining issues. Years of standoff persist.

Obama wants a one-way deal on his terms – demanding unreasonable Iranian concessions, raising the bar continually for more, wanting Iran subjugated and isolated as part of a long term plan to replace its government with a US-controlled puppet regime letting Big Oil plunder its hydrocarbon resources.

The Globalists Are Racing to World War III Before the American Sheeple Wake Up

f you think the globalists are pushing pedal to the metal now, you’re absolutely right! Rapid acceleration toward their one world government has humanity on a fateful collision course to Armageddon. Just look at the unfolding events in 2015 so far with barely half the year over. The Charlie Hebdo attack in January came right after France moved to recognize a sovereign Palestinian state. Clearly Hebdo was a false flag payback that only escalated movement toward more Orwellian tyranny and draconian police state oppression, not only in France but around the world.

Hillary Clinton: “People Should and Do Trust Me”

Below are the highlights pieced together from what has been publicized as the first exclusive one-on-one sit-down interview with Hillary since she announced her presidential run.

It’s painful to watch (and not just because it’s Hillary either). It’s like watching someone full-to-bursting with nearly four decades of lies and scandals try to act like a normal person in under five awkward, cagey, and defensive minutes.

The first cringe-inducer?

When CNN’s Brianna Keilar asks her, “Do you see any role that you’ve had in the sentiment that we’ve seen where people are questioning whether you are trustworthy?”

Hillary responds with that’s just a theme that’s been used against her and her husband for many, many years.

Just a theme used against you guys for many, many years? “Gee, I wonder why that is,” said no one ever (*cough Clinton body count *cough).

Throughout history, debt and war have been constant partners

There is this idea that the Greeks got themselves into this current mess because they paid themselves too much for doing too little. Well, maybe. But it’s not the complete picture. For the Greeks also got themselves into debt for the oldest reason in the book – one might even argue, for the very reason that public debt itself was first invented – to raise and support an army. The state’s need for quick money to raise an army is how industrial-scale money lending comes into business (in the face of the church’s historic opposition to usury). Indeed, in the west, one might even stretch to say that large-scale public debt began as a way to finance military intervention in the Middle East – ie the crusades. And just as rescuing Jerusalem from the Turks was the justification for massive military spending in the middle ages, so the fear of Turkey has been the reason given for recent Greek spending.

Planned US Coup in Greece?

Wherever neocon Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland shows up (Hillary Clinton’s handpicked choice for the job), trouble usually follows.

Helmer says she’s “in charge of warmaking in Europe.” Her notorious involvement in Ukraine’s February 2014 coup is well documented.

According to Helmer, she gave Tsipras two ultimatums in Athens last March – surrender to Troika demands and remain allied with US-dominated NATO’s anti Russian agenda.”

Her spokeman Mark Toner said Washington is “focused on, frankly, the opposite (of Sunday’s referendum), which is finding a path forward that allows Greece to continue to make reforms (more austerity), return to growth (by letting Troika bandits rape its economy and population), and remain in the Eurozone.”

FBI and Comey Find New Bogeyman for Anti-Encryption Arguments: ISIS

After months of citing hypothetical crimes as a reason to give law enforcement a magical key to unlock encrypted digital messages, FBI Director James Comey has latched onto a new bogeyman: ISIS.

In a speech he gave in October 2014 as part of his coordinated push to make the case that the FBI is “going dark,” Comey leaned on examples of kidnappers and child abusers who texted details of their violent plots that law enforcement agents weren’t privy to.

But, as The Intercept reported shortly after, those examples were largely bogus and had nothing to do with encryption.

Now, in a preview of his appearance Wednesday before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Comey is playing the ISIS card, saying that it is becoming impossible for the FBI to stop the group’s recruitment and planned attacks. (He uses an alternate acronym, ISIL, for the Islamic State.)

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sure, all we have to do is get ISIS to not write their own encryption software, rely on the government-approved back-doored systems, and all will be just peaches and cream!!!!!!

New York Stock Exchange suspends trading

The New York Stock Exchange suspended trading at 11:32 a.m ET Wednesday. It's been down for over two hours.

NYSE President Thomas Farley told CNBC they hope to have trading resume between 2:30pm and 2:45pm ET.

The Department of Homeland Security told CNN that there is "no sign of malicious activity" at the NYSE or with an earlier outage experienced by United Airlines. The FBI says it reached out to NYSE and "no further law enforcement action is needed at this time."

According to the CDC, heroin use in the U.S. has been growing at an "alarming" rate, with overdose fatalities doubling in the past few years. Darwin nods approvingly

Heroin use in the United States has grown at an "alarming rate," resulting in double the overdose deaths between 2011 and 2013, health officials said Tuesday.
A report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found use of the recreational drug increased between 2002 and 2013 across multiple demographic groups -- gender, age and income level. The study found the biggest increase in use, though, was among groups who historically had lower rates of use, including women, and people with private insurance and higher incomes.

FBI raids Michigan Jewish college suspected of defrauding federal government

Federal agents raided the offices of a Jewish college that has prospered from millions of dollars in federal aid even though almost all its students live in Israel and hardly any of them graduate.

Federal officials declined to comment on the reason for the July 7 raid at Michigan Jewish Institute, in a suburb of Detroit.

But in 2012, the Forward showed how MJI’s assets soared as the college enrolled thousands of students in distance and online learning courses.

During a five-year period, MJI’s students claimed $25 million under the Federal Pell Grant Program, which is designed for the neediest American students.

Almost all those students took degree courses in Judaic studies at yeshivas and seminaries in Israel that they never completed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I wonder if Hillary still thinks BDS is the big problem with colleges!

On a side note, the failure of these students to complete their courses underlines a common human trait; people do not respect or value things which they get for free. The more the American taxpayer showers all over Israel, the more disdainful of Americans' "generosity" Israel becomes!

TOP CORRUPT LEADERS IN THE WORLD

Corruption has been the coveted jewel in everybody’s crown since antiquity. Aristotelian philosophy believed that everybody who had power could become corrupt. Nietzsche said that we commit corruption only because there is financial gain. In the 19th century when those that had the power made politics apparently accessible even to the poor by paying politicians a salary in our democracies where already paving the way for their own wealth accumulation. Paying salaries to politicians for the first time so that the wealthy did not have the monopoly of the control of the function of decision making? Were they kidding us back then into believing that politics was democratic? Of course they were pulling the wool over our eyes into making us believe that everybody, whatever their status, would get to govern the country. What they were really doing was making sure that they were able to siphon of the greenbacks from the state, but this time making it look as if it were all above board.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Corruption has eaten the heart out of alleged representative government here in the US.

We used to be a government of the people by the people and for the people; we are now a goverment of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations which own the American political process as never before.

The Kabuki-like process of elections in this country is a complete farce.

We the People never actually get a real choice in candidates, other than those which the corporations have chosen, because they know those candidates will "deliver" on their agendas.

Remember President Obama saying that he would have "the most transparent administration in history"?!? Wow, did that turn out to be a piece of hypocritical irony, looking at what has happened since President Obama took office.

Look at the secrecy involved in these "fast track" trade agreements, which were corporately purchased through donations to Congressional representatives.

Look at UPIgate; Benghazigate; Fast&Furiousgate; IRSgate; and the continued messes in Iraq, Syria, Somalia and Libya.

Can you possibly tell me, with a straight face, that the actions taken to remedy these issues were done with "transparency"?!?

Thinking people would have to say "no" to this question. In fact," HELL, NO!!" would be a more honest response.

And please don't think I am criticising the Democrats over and above the Republicans: they are equally complicit, for what they have done for their corporate masters, at the expense of their alleged constituents.

Hillary Clinton Pledges to Defend Israeli Apartheid and Fight BDS Movement in Letter to Mega-Donor

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sent a letter to media mogul Haim Saban, a mega-donor, assuring him that she would make countering the global Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel a priority. She invoked a recent terrorist attack against Jews in Paris to condemn BDS and specifically sought Saban’s advice on how to fight back.

“I am writing to express my alarm over the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, or ‘BDS,’ a global effort to isolate the State of Israel by ending commercial and academic exchanges,” Clinton wrote [PDF]. “I am seeking your advice on how we can work together—across party lines and with a diverse array of voices—to reverse this trend with information and advocacy, and fight back against further attempts to isolate and delegitimize Israel.”

Clinton expressed serious concern over comparisons between Israel and South African apartheid.

Anti-Iran Lobby Steps Up Its Game Before Deadline for P5+1 Talks

The U.S. and Iranian nuclear negotiators have just announced a one week extension of their nuclear talks. If, as expected, there is an agreement next week, it will open a new stage of tension in the process leading to its final formal ratification by all parties. For then, the U.S. Congress will have 30 days to vote the agreement up or down. This vote, forced on an unwilling president by his own party’s Senate members several weeks ago, poses a new threat. German public sector magazine Behoerden Spiegel says one attack vector may be the sensor shooter interoperability which provides real-time information between command and weapons systems.

Another could be the overall control chips which direct weapons guidance.

Together the magazine speculates attackers could have stolen data and accessed missile control.

Former MI5 agent and whistleblower, Annie Machon, told RT the usually highly secure US weapons could contain backdoors.

Former CNN Anchor Tells Gun Control Activists to ‘Shut the F*ck Up’

Former CNN anchor Lynne Russell and former reporter Chuck de Caro came back into the news cycle on June 30, after they worked together to use a concealed firearm to defend themselves from a robber. Russell later spoke about how having a gun “absolutely” saved their lives, and had some tough words for those who do not own guns, yet advocate for government control.

“If you don’t want to carry, please don’t.” Russell said. “Then, shut the f–k up about it. Make your own

Opportunity Mars rover bypasses dodgy flash memory, now relies on RAM

NASA has revealed plans for its laser-armed, nuclear powered Opportunity rover's next few months of Martian trundling, but says this will be done without using the machine's flash memory whenever possible.

Opportunity's been on Mars since 2004 and was expected to work for three months. Glitches in the rover's flash memory, which first became apparent with an ”amnesia” incident in late 2014, are therefore thoroughly excusable. NASA re-formatted the rover's flash to try and sort things out, but the problems persisted.

NASA now says “occurrences increased again later in the spring” and has therefore decided to avoid using flash because doing so glitches the rover and necessitates more remediation attempts.

Opportunity is instead relying on RAM and uploading data every day, instead of storing it in flash and sending it home when convenient.

The impossible war on encryption

"Britain is not a state that is trying to search through everybody's emails and invade their privacy," according to Prime Minister David Cameron. "We just want to ensure that terrorists do not have a safe space in which to communicate."

Webmaster's Commentary:

BULL BISCUITS! Of course they want to read everyone's email and the proof is that banning encryption will not find terrorists because terrorists can create their own systems of encryption strong enough to defeat the NSA and GCHQ. I know because we did it! We created 6 NSA code challenges and not one was solved. And I am not a professional encryption expert and only a moderately decent programmer.

So forbidding law abiding citizens from using encryption while being unable to read encryption created by real criminals and terrorists leaves us with the inescapable conclusion that David Cameron is in fact about to spy on all the law-abiding British people, to make sure they are not thinking those double-plus ungood thoughts!

The New York Times Urges the Troika to "Make an Example of Greece"

It is often the moral and economic blindness of New York Times articles about the EU crisis that is most striking. The newest entry in this field is entitled "Now Europe Must Decide Whether to Make an Example of Greece." That is a chilling phrase most associated in our popular culture with a Consigliere and his Don deciding whether to order a mob "hit." It is, therefore, fitting (albeit over the top) as a criticism of the troika's economic, political, and propaganda war against the Greek people. Except that the article is actually another salvo in that war.

'You disgust me': families confront Lebanese doctor who falsely diagnosed cancer patients in US court

He has been accused in a criminal complaint of endangering people's safety by falsely diagnosing cancer, prescribing unnecessary chemotherapy and other treatments, and of over treating patients who did require treatment.

Many of Fata’s patients now suffer from permanent side effects due to the overtreatment with chemo, hydration, iron infusions, blood transfusions, steroid injections and radiation treatments.

Fata had allegedly prescribed over 9,000 unnecessary injections and infusions to more than 500 patients over a six-year period and received $62 million from medicare.

The doctor was a naturalized U.S. citizen who lived in Michigan with his wife Samar and their three children. His family has reportedly fled to Lebanon.

Greece Refuses Pound of Flesh

I find it somewhat amusing how bankers who make billions from financial manipulations have the gall to lecture Greece that they must accept an austerity plan. These are people who fly in private jets (while lecturing us about global warming) and buy mansions far away from the diversity they proclaim to love. These same people dare to lecture the elderly in Greece that they must work into their old age so that these shysters can get their pound of flesh.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT RELATED PANDEMIC DISEASES ARE APPEARING IN THE US

Three months ago, people like Dr. Jane Orient, myself and anonymous Border Patrol agents began to call for quarantine, for the purpose of health screening all immigrants. Many people laughed and said there was no real threat. The invasion of our country, the very invasion that people said was not real, has just endangered the entire country. We are sitting on the beginning of a series of pandemic outbreaks.

CDC Warning: Immigrant Children Could Be Spreading This New Mystery Virus In Public Schools

Although it’s received very little mainstream media coverage, the current outbreak of EV-D68 is common to El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, three countries where a bulk of the illegal immigrant children come from. These unaccompanied illegal immigrant children have been allowed into the nation’s school systems without medical screenings and without required vaccinations.

Undocumented Immigrants bringing diseases across border?

There’s a growing health concern with hundreds of illegal immigrants crossing over into southern Texas.

U.S. Border Patrol agents are worried that what's coming over into the U.S. could harm everyone.

This time the focus is not on the women and children that are crossing over in droves.

Agents are worrying about a viral outbreak.

“We are sending people everywhere. The average person doesn't know what's going on down here,” said Border Patrol agent and Rio Grande Valley Union representative Chris Cabrera.

Illegal Alien Minors Spreading TB, Dengue, Swine Flu

The hordes of illegal immigrant minors entering the U.S. are bringing serious diseases—including swine flu, dengue fever, possibly Ebola virus and tuberculosis—that present a danger to the American public as well as the Border Patrol agents forced to care for the kids, according to a U.S. Congressman who is also medical doctor.

This has created a “severe and dangerous” crisis, says the Georgia lawmaker, Phil Gingrey. Most of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) are coming from Central America and they’re importing infectious diseases considered to be largely eradicated in this country. Additionally, many of the migrants lack basic vaccinations such as those to prevent chicken pox or measles, leaving America’s young children and the elderly particularly susceptible, Gingrey reveals.

Congressman claims 'illegal immigrants' bringing diseases to U.S.

On Monday, the Alabama Congressman who once said Democrats were waging "a war on whites" took aim at another group for a current measles outbreak that stricken as many as 100 children in 14 states. This time, Brooks' target - as he said it - were "illegal aliens."

Speaking on the Matt Murphy radio show Tuesday morning, Brooks, R-Huntsville was asked if he saw any connection between the measles outbreak and the recent influx of immigrants into the U.S. Brooks said it is possible that "illegal aliens" could bring a host of new diseases into the country.

Jul 08 07:51

Is there a link between the measles outbreak and illegal immigration?

“I don’t think there is any health care professional who has examined the fact, who can honestly say that Americans have not died because of the diseases brought into America by illegal aliens who are not properly healthcare screened as lawful immigrants are. It might be the enterovirus that has a heavy presence in Central and South America that has caused deaths of American children over the past 6 to 9 months. It might be this measles outbreak. There are any number of things.”

Hillary Clinton Calls for Constant Engagement with Russia

Speaking at a campaign event in Glen, New Hampshire on July 4, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said the United States has to be "much smarter" about how it deals with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "That's why we have to be much smarter in how we deal with Putin and how we deal with his ambitions", Clinton said at a campaign event. "He's not an easy man... But I don't think there is any substitute other than constant engagement".

So far, Mrs. Clinton has been one of Russia’s fiercest critics. In February, she said European governments were "too wimpy" in dealing with Putin, the CNN television channel cited London Mayor Boris Johnson as saying. Now the leading Democratic presidential hopeful seems to be changing the tune.

Donald Trump's Latest Anti-Mexican Rant Says Immigrants Carry "Infectious Diseases"

In a statement released Monday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump defended his anti-Mexican remarks, in which he described Mexicans as drug dealers and rapists at the June 16 launch of his political campaign, arguing they were "deliberately distorted by the media."

"Many fabulous people come in from Mexico, and our country is better for it," Trump writes in his statement. However, he quickly adds that many Mexican immigrants bring "tremendous infectious disease" and saying there are "Mexican cartels that arrange to have Mexican immigrants trying to cross the borders and smuggle in the drugs."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The PC crowd is out for Donald's blood, but cannot refute his observations. The illegals have brought infectious diseases into this nation, including confirmed cases of scabies, HIV, H1N1, and even tuberculosis. But the PC crowd's attitude is that we shouod not talk about certain subjects because ... well ... they are politically incorrect, like black-on-white crime, which is ignored in the rush to report white-on-black crimes, or the fact that yes indeed many of the illegals coming across the border are criminals fleeing prosecution in their home country and yes they are carrying infectious diseases.

Right now, Donald is looking like the most up-front candidate in the 2016 race! Everyone else is just pandering.

The Facts That Gun Grabbers Can’t Wrap Their Minds Around

Do you see what they did there? At first, the article was about gun ownership causing violent crime. Then it shifts back and forth between that, and claiming that more guns cause more gun related crimes. I swear the next time I hear the words “gun homicide” “gun crimes” or “firearm homicides” I’m gonna scream.

That’s because gun control advocates can always find plenty of statistics that show higher gun ownership rates correlate with gun related crimes. Obviously, if you live in a state or country with an easy access to firearms, there will be more crimes committed with firearms. Human beings always seek out the most effective tools for the job, so they will always spring for best weapons they can get a hold of, regardless of whether or not they are criminals or law-abiding citizens.

AP corrects story falsely claiming homosexuality is illegal for Palestinians

Last week, in an article on the controversial rainbow flag mural a Palestinian artist painted on Israel’s apartheid wall, the Associated Press made this claim: “A 1951 Jordanian law banning homosexual acts remains in effect in the West Bank, as does a ban in Gaza passed by British authorities in 1936.”

In fact, there is no law in the West Bank, or in Jordan, that bans sexual relations between consenting adults of the same sex.

Greece And The EU Situation — Paul Craig Roberts

I doubt that there will be a Greek exit.

The Greek referendum, in which the Greek government’s position easily prevailed, tells the troika (EU Commission, European Central Bank, IMF, with of course Washington as the puppet master) that the Greek people support their government’s position that the years of austerity to which Greece has been subjected have seriously worsened the debt problem. The Greek government has been trying to turn the austerity approach into reforms that would lessen the debt burden via a rise in employment, GDP, and tax revenues.

The first response of most EU politicians to the Greek referendum outcome was to bluster about Greece exiting Europe. Washington is not prepared for this to happen and has told its vassals to give the Greeks a deal that they can accept that will keep them within the EU.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Troika may tell DC to shove it. They can't cut Greece any slack on the debt without triggering a flood of demands for the same from all the other EU member states driven into poverty by private central banking.

True government for the people: Iceland jails corrupt banksters and grows booming economy

Banks around the world are no longer the quaint little savings-and-loan depositories of yesterday. Today, most of them are owned or co-opted by giant mega-wealthy criminal conglomerates that charge customers for everything from cash deposits to ATM fees.

One Western country finally figured out that allowing these criminal enterprises to continue operating business as usual was hurting growth and destroying its economy, so its government decided to make some serious reforms.

Instead of bailing out the big criminal banking enterprises, Iceland instead chose to try, convict and jail criminal banksters. And as a result, the country has the fastest recovering economy in all of fiscally moribund Europe.

We Built Their Death Squads: ISIS's Bizarre Origin Story

ISIS -- the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria -- is one of the least funny organizations on the planet. From child trafficking to attempted genocide, everything they touch turns into a big steaming pile of tragedy. Things seem to be going pretty well for them, too. The West's new boogeymen captured the city of Ramadi, Iraq, last month, and they appear to be drawing in new recruits slightly faster than American airstrikes can kill them.

But, the truly scary thing is that they seem to have just popped into existence overnight. How many of you had never even heard the term "ISIS" before last year? How is such a spontaneous mass of organized terror even possible? We were wondering that, too, so we sat down with a few people who were on the ground in Iraq during ISIS's real-life supervillain origin story. We learned that, if we're not the father of ISIS, the United States is at least some sort of uncle.

China stock market freezing up as sell-off gathers pace

China's tumbling stock market showed signs of seizing up on Wednesday, as companies scrambled to escape the rout by having their shares suspended and indexes plunged after the securities regulator warned of "panic sentiment" gripping investors.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am rather amazed that as Greece, Ukraine, Puerto Rico, Detroit, all circle the drain that the stock market in China gets hammered while the west miraculously emerges unscathed. Frankly, I an wondering if we are seeing the weaponization of the stock market to wage economic wear on China. The US goal was to find a way to wreck the Yuan to make it less attractive than the dollar, and the same high-frequency trading that can drive stocks up can be used to drag them down!

The Subtly Hostile Message Putin Sent Obama on Independence Day

Saturday was a rather slow news day. The crisis in Greece was on a brief hiatus before the Sunday vote, and most Americans were busy celebrating Independence Day. The only thing that was widely reported was Putin’s 4th of July message to President Obama, in which he offered an olive branch to the US. “In his message of congratulations, the Russian President noted that, despite the differences between the two countries, Russian-American relations remain the most important factor of international stability and security.” The message mostly interpreted as a kind of “Happy 4th of July” to the President.

More Wag the Dog: Obama’s “Spontaneous” Singing of Amazing Grace at Charleston Eulogy Not Spontaneous at All

In the weeks since the Charleston church shooting, that event has been politicized to the maximum amount possible for gun control pushes and race baiting.

One very “Wag The Dog” moment came when Obama decided to personally give the eulogy for South Carolina Senator Clementa Pinckney who was killed in the shooting.

The mainstream media tried to spin Obama’s eulogy as one of the most amazing things the president has done in his existence on this planet. Pundits left and right slobbered all over the eulogy and the idea that Obama was so moved during his delivery that he spontaneously burst into the song “Amazing Grace”.

Turns out, it wasn't spontaneous at all. The media, by the way, seemed to forget the whole thing was even a funeral or the man who died and was the reason for the entire event in the first place. All media attention and focus (and drool) went to Obama's staged singing.
